Good location, lovely hotel, well kept rooms, limited parking outside the hotel free from 6pm to 8am. Other parking available offsite.

No AC, No pool, step up tub

No air-con; the provided electrical fan was not working; sound proofing of the room was poor, I could hear the noise from my next room!

I’ve booked 3 rooms. The lifts r not working for last3 weeks. We were given room on 3rd floor my poor mum struggled to climb up. Upon ringing reception they said oh we have service lift.came back from dinner asked to use lift oh sorry you can’t use it at this time. Bedspreads shave stains on them the stairs on the other side have strong smell on weed. We had to call staff and inform them about the smell. When I complained to Expedia about the lift they lied and said we emailed the customer. There was no email as I had to go down and speak to receptionist. Please check with property before you book

The hotel is based in a beautiful historical terrace. Car access to it is restricted at the front to four places with other car parking on the top level of the adjacent Waitrose store. Ramp access to it is tight as it feels like a 1960s car park when cars were much smaller. The receptionist was really professionally helpful and very friendly. Our room, on the first floor overlooked an unattractive roof of the building next door. The room was cosy in size, clean and in the main functional. The tv did not work and this was explained as a system problem which would be resolved the next day. Thd bed was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was basic but clean. It does need a revamp. There was no dehumidifying mechanism to extract the steam from our showers so the room felt damp all through the night. The breakfast was good..good cereal choice with fresh fruit and yoghurt, croissants, hot cooked selection, tea, coffee, juice etc. Checkout was easy with another friendly and efficient receptionist. Its a mid range hotel, in an excellent position close to the underground system on Byres Road, which means visitors can travel throughout Glasgow without having to use their cars in the current constantly roadworked city. We would go again but would book a more expensive room for a better view and a bit more space.

Lifts were out of order, room facilities were outdated.

Nice property. But parking a nightmare a very busy area. And very limited amount of available spaces.

As a frequent traveler I find this hotel to be in constant deterioration. I was only informed the lift was out of service (and repair date not known) after I was checked-in. Just ridiculous, and as luck (bad) would have it, I hurt my ankle 20min before arriving at the hotel, so there I go. The staircase access to rooms looked dodgy and dated. Don’t even want to mention my breakfast encounter. However I think they have a good range for breakfast.

Nice room, but it was at the front of the property and had a lot of road noise so asked to move to the back of the building, staff were very helpful. The only restaurant option in the hotel Was a steakhouse. Breakfast was disappointing. The choice was ok. Coffee machine very slow I was sat near to the check in desk and three staff members were chatting, laughing and getting out their phones. No plates were cleared as I went up for More food. It was better the second morning. I was unfortunate to have other guests congregating outside my door talking very loud and it went on for quite some time. They sounded older and as I was on my own didn’t want to ask them to go into their rooms to ‘chat’

Room was dusty. Headboard had previous headprints on it. Room had constant clanking noises overnight. Unable to put main light on. Was then told i had to put the two bedside lights on then go back and put the main light on! Staff not helpful or friendly. Uncomfortable seating in the lounge. Hotel looked tired and needs updating including the electrics.

Great location but really tired in parts. Bedrooms were in need of a good clean and updating, and bathroom was in desperate need of replacement. The sink was covered in cracks/damage that had been filled in, and we had an issue with the toilet not flushing (and then it wouldn’t stop flushing), which wasn’t overly convenient. The hotel breakfast was sadly dreadful and not worth paying any extra for. It was a very basic buffet with low quality ingredients/cooking that you would expect from a budget hotel. Such a shame, as this restaurant used to be really nice and they could do a lot more to make a great breakfast experience.

Charming building, great location. Lovely staff too. Slightly let down by mouldy tile grout in the bathroom.

This hotel was always a favourite of ours but this time we noticed a marked difference. Staff were lovely though. Room was cold on arrival with the heating completely off. Curtains in room were torn. Carpet had not been hoovered because we found approx 6 hair pins all over the floor. Bathroom had a damp dirty shower curtain. Duvet was not warm enough for the time of year. Just appears that the hotel has gone downhill a bit. Holes in corridor walls and the bedroom doors have not been tidied up since all the seals were used during Covid.

Dingy and old. Rot in the ceilings, not particularly clean.

Good location, big room with a comfy bed. A bit pricey and the room was dusty and needed a hoover. Overall we’d probably stay again.

I have been at this hotel several times along the years. When it was Hilton was better. It’s ok but needs a renovation. It looks old, the furniture is old and damage. It’s not as clean as it should be. The carpet is dirty, the armchair has spots, the shower was dirty. I stayed 8 nights and never changed the glasses. I tried to wash my glass every night in the sink. One day they didn’t clean the room. It’s very well located, and the price is fair, but I’m not sure I want to come back.

Overall, this was a pretty good stay. Front desk was very friendly and quick to provide help and tips. Room was spacious and comfortable. The surrounding neighborhood was phenomenal -- just across the street from the botanical gardens, tons of shopping/restaurants/bars, easy access to the subway, and right near the gorgeous historic Glasgow University. My main complaint is that the soundproofing between rooms and particularly out to the hall is atrocious, made worse by poorly designed room doors that SLAM remarkably loudly. When this would happen as I was falling asleep, it would scare the hell out of me.

Birthday treat with my good lady. Overall this hotel was great, staff were very friendly & helpful, reception staff even gave us two complimentary drinks vouchers to use at the bar as a birthday treat. Rooms were great & clean. The only downside of our stay was our room was at the end of a long corridor which had the service lift right next to it & we were woken several times in the early hours with the cleaning staff using the lift with they're housekeeping trolleys, but we would stay here again.

Stayed in room 202,unfortunately next to service elevator, 0730 on saturday morning, 0840 sunday ,noise was like a train ,bathroom definitely needs makeover ,room needs thorough clean ,window was broken same with hairdryer

Too expensive for what you get. Rooms are too hot and bedrooms have single pane glass which means you can hear the very loud road that passes by the hotel. The rooms didn't feel very clean. But the staff were very friendly.

Room 301 was on the small side with the double bed hard up against the wall on one side leaving entry only accessible from one side. Bathroom was dated with a crack in the sink and paint peeling off the ceiling. Either side of the room was the service lift and the store room for house keeping. It was quite though and the rest of the hotel was fine. I would go for a larger room if I visit again. Easy walking to many coffee shops, bars and restaurants and across the road from the Botanical Gardens.

Very helpful staff. Good facilities. Only thing was being at the front of the hotel we are not use to traffic noise.

Fantastic location and beautiful building. The hotel held parties and receptions most nights we were there, however, and the noise levels meant we couldn’t sleep.

Convenient. Decent pub across the road in an old church. Breakfast was ok of a little limited.. avoided the croissants as cleatly not fresh baked as in plastic wrapping. Room/bathroom was clean with decent towels etc. But room was far too hot. Had to have fan on all night. Windows needneed modernising

The picture used to advertise their hotel is not what you see or use. There is a discreet side entrance . The room is pleasant but has no refrigerator or cable connections.

The property is in a convenient location close to shops and restaurants which we really liked. We had a challenge getting housekeeping service, we kept having to call to request it every evening because they didn't come during the day while we were out. They need more staff in general, there's usually only 1 person at the front desk so the phone goes unanswered.

Lovely room and great location but service let down our stay. Check in took ages as member of staff couldn’t seen to understand I had booked two rooms and didn’t let us know we needed to give car registration for parking. Bar was shut at 10:30 and told we could order drinks in lounge. This took over half an hour and member of staff seemed disinterested and rather rude. They then insisted on taking every room number rather than letting us put drinks on one room!

Convenient location. Uber drivers have to meet you sometimes near the back and side alleys that are not well lit and so feel sketchy with rough sidewalks or no sidewalk. Probably an issue with their navigation as the front and north side of hotel is nice. Front reception driveway seemed to be for private arrivals and taxis. Just FYI. Staff helpful and friendly except the breakfast staff need to be a little more welcoming and should greet first, briefly explin process, then a simple line like, "Good Morning. Have a seat and do you mind if I get your room number?" Instead of "Can I get your room number" with no greeting or direction. This might have been the staff onhand that day. The food was professionally arranged and organised and wad good, however. The plusses were excellent University and Botanical location. Clean rooms and reception area. Away from super busy streets but within walking to shops and subway.

My husband and I booked the large family room through Expedia. Two days before our stay, the hotel contacted us to inform us that there had been a flood, and unfortunately, our room was affected. They offered to move us to a smaller room with a partial refund. Given the short notice, we had no choice but to accept, even though we were disappointed to be downgraded—especially as this trip to Glasgow was for a special occasion. However, more than a week after our trip, we have still not received the promised refund. The hotel has also stopped responding to our messages and inquiries. We are extremely disappointed with this unacceptable treatment and lack of customer service.

Vey friendly services that paid personal attention to our needs. The concierge Peter was excellent and most helpful in every way. We will definitely stay at Grosvenor again in Glasgow.

We had a great stay. Perfect location in middle of West End of Glasgow with super restaurants etc close by. The staff were lovely. In particular,Michelle at reception was a star. We shall be back.

Lovely hotel, I felt very welcomed by the staff despite arriving looking a bit dishevelled on arrival and feeling out of place. Old school vibes and definitely seems to be favoured by an older generation than me (40m) but very comfortable, great location next to the Botanical Gardens and Oran Mor. Super spot for stays in the west end.

Fantastic location, minutes from Hillhead subway station and ideally situated for West End shops, bars and restaurants, and Glasgow University.

Good hotel. In the West End of Glasgow on Byres Road loads of food and drink options nearby. 2 mins to Hillhead underground so easy to get around the city too. We live in Glasgow so just stayed a night so that we could have a day out and a night at the Stand Comedy club which was also excellent. We know the area well and have stayed before so happy to recommend particularly if you’re a tourist who wants to experience the best of Glasgow’s more Bohemian/University side of town!

We were extremely happy with the location of the hotel. We love the West end of Glasgow, and the Botanical Gardens across the street are a big bonus!

Our AirBNB reservations fell through & we were so happy to be able to stay in a comfortable hotel within steps of the Botanic Gardens. This location is actually closer to the art museums we want to see & near lots of cafes & restaurants on Byres.

I have stayed in this hotel many times before. It is situated in the west end of Glasgow on the junction between Byres Road and Great Western Road. This gives you easy access to the amenities of the city centre via the subway on Byres Road but it’s less congested than the city centre. There are easy access to green spaces in the city, the Botanic Gardens and Kelvingrove. The hotel is very comfortable with an excellent breakfast. The staff have always been very helpful and friendly, to me anyway. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and will be back again this year. 😊

Wonderful staff. Room was comfortable with plenty of space. Bathroom was of good size. Breakfast was plentiful with many choices. Bar was nice and comfortable. Watch the Eurocup with a nice cocktail and some nice bar bites. Parking can be a bit challenging. Good location.

We had a great stay with our little ones. Comfortable, quiet and close to everything. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent

We had a great stay for 1 night - so convenient for going to a wedding nearby at Oran Mor. Double room was clean and modern and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for getting ready. Breakfast buffet was lovely. Top tip - if parking at the hotel, the hotel spaces are on top floor of nearby Waitrose multi-storey car park. If using sat nav, you might end up at the back of the hotel where there is different on street parking payable via an app.

Good location but difficult to find and next to no parking on site. Breakfast was poor and not worth it. I recommend a good cafe close by at half the price. The floor in the breakfast area was so sticky it obviously hadn't been cleaned properly and the choice of food was pitiful. Room was comfortable but there was a damp smell and the bathroom was 'tired' looking. Overall not worth the price and not as good as you'd expect for the name.

Breakfast was absolutely terrible, stood and waited to be seated eventually had to get a member of staff so a seat could be allocated in an empty restaurant. Table had to be set, no knives. No orange juice, then no coffee, shambles. Hotel said we would get a reduction on our bill, still waiting! Won't be going back anytime soon

Very comfortable bed, good curtains to keep out light and a decent breakfast all contributed to a pleasant stay. Staff were cheerful and helpful. And the Bo'vine restaurant serves a good meal. The market value meals actually are pretty good value - big portions as well as tasty food,

Okay , hotel a little run down. Shower okay once you worked it house , temp control poor.. Very poor bar service .
