We had a wonderful stay in Carlsbad. This cottage was perfect for our weeklong stay. So great to have a washer and dryer, deck, yard, beach chairs, and lawn games! We parked our car in the driveway and walked everywhere! Terrific location!

We spent a lovely weekend at the Ultimate Beach Bungalow. We loved that it was just a block from the beach — location can't be beat! Easy walk to downtown Carlsbad (one of our favorite CA towns). Long driveway allowed us to park well away from the street. Very comfortable beds. Nice, comfortable living room. Wonderful back deck and yard. Felt quite private — very little noise. Kitchen was clean, updated, and well stocked with newer appliances and pots & pans. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area!

This home is so close to the beach - I was beside myself with happiness. My sister and mom and I spent 5 days here and made many wonderful memories visiting. The property is just as described, the location is amazing and the amenities are all that you need. The yard is huge, the deck is lovely, there’s driveway parking and a washer and drier! I was surprised to find that one of the two sofas was a sleeper as it’s not listed as such - and there’s an additional fold out bed in one of the closets. We made use of the kitchen and dining area daily. We caught an absolutely amazing sunset out the front windows on our first morning and were very happy for the drier as we visited during the unprecedented rains of January. Glad we could dry our clothes so easily. Lovely neighborhood. The construction across the street wasn’t an issue for us. This property was perfect for our group.

My daughters and I loved staying in this perfect bungalow. We easily walked to the beach and the village, played ball with our dog out in the big back yard, and sunbathed on the deck. All 3 of us wished we had a house just like this one. It's sunny and roomy and the furnishings are comfy. Quiet at night. Well-equipped kitchen. Beach toys and chairs. Even yard games. A great place to have spent our vacation.

It is comfortable, impeccably clean, well appointed, and ideally located a block from the beach and approximately 1/2 mile walk from Carlsbad Village. There is a good size deck and a large fenced lawn in the back of the home with landscaping that makes the yard very close to private. We were vacationing with our dog and Carlsbad is one of the most dog friendly towns we have ever encountered. While the property is not air-conditioned, there are ceiling and tower fans and excellent cross breezes from the windows. The check-in was seamless and the host was extremely responsive when we had questions. We hope to return in 2025.

The location is perfect! A very short walk to the beach and also walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The deck and large yard were an added bonus as was the off street parking. We would love to stay here again!

Clothes washer in 2nd bathroom & dryer in garage was a bit awkward. It takes far too long to get hot water at the sinks & showers. Lots of water wasted & sometimes ended up washing with cold water. Other than that everything else was good.

We visited the property with our 2 sons (4/6). The location is great, right next to the beach and walking distance to great restaurants. Also close to legoland! A nice backyard for the kids to play in and off street parking. Would highly recommend to families staying in the area.

We booked this quaint little beach house for a weekend getaway on the coast and everything about it was delightful. The location is perfect! The house is clean, well maintained and the perfect size. The fenced in yard was a tropical paradise that my dogs never wanted to leave. In fact, none of us wanted to leave! Kyle was the consummate host. He responded to the questions we had immediately. I’d book this property again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint bungalow that had everything we needed to enjoy a family vacation. The location is excellent. Carlsbad is great and it’s perfectly located between LA and San Diego, making day trips to those cities easy. The house was very clean!!!

This home is in such a great location. Minutes from the 5 freeway yet one short block from the beach. Backyard is perfect for children and dogs and very well manicured. The house is clean, cozy and well appointed. We were only disappointed that couldn’t spend more time there since we were in town for an event. Would most definitely book this property again

Kyles beach cottage was a very welcomed respite for our family! His well appointed home had everything we needed to relax, cook and enjoy the beach! From the citrus squeezer for fresh margs to the beach chairs, he seemed to have everything we had forgotten to pack with us! The location of the cottage to town was the perfect distance to help us stretch our legs after dinner or pop down to the beach for an easy afternoon in the sun. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious with a large private backyard, perfect for our Golden Doodle to play on. Thanks for your hospitality Kyle! We will be back!

We came to experience San Diego sites and celebrate my granddaughter’s 10th birthday. We enjoyed staying in Carlsbad going to the beach everyday. This is a cozy beach house with updated kitchen and bathrooms. The backyard is beautiful. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the accommodations!

Overall, the house was as described in the listing. It has all the basics needed and is only a block from the beach. The backyard is great for kids and dogs. Also, the owner is also communicative and helpful as needed. The only mild disappointment encountered during our stay was in relation to the neighborhood, not the house itself - there are multiple active construction sites near the home making early morning noise a slight issue if you are looking to sleep undisturbed past 7ish AM. Other than that, all was well!

Cute little house ina fabulous location. My husband and I enjoyed many walks with our pup around the neighborhood and even into downtown. We greatly enjoyed the large backyard that allowed for what seemed like endless games of fetch for our pup and all of the yard games the hosts have available. We would only change the matress in the master, we both up with cranky backs, personal preference. We would definitely stay again.

We decided not to bring our dog so Kyle refunded our fifty dollar pet fee. The heater made some funny noises after was on for a while but it worked and we turned it off before going to bed. Location was great to get to the beach.

Great place. Close to the beach, restaurants, and stores. Backyard was awesome for the little ones to play safely and run around freely. Communication with the owners was fast and easy and helped when I needed to add an extra night to the stay.

This is the second year in a row we have rented this property. The location is wonderful, parking is great, the house is equipped with all the required amenities for a relaxing stay, the back yard is fabulous and the hosts are responsive and pleasant to work with. Very clean, cute, all the amenities as described.The backyard was absolutely perfect for our puppy to run and play and yard is immaculately clean!! Very comfortable and close enough to everything within walking distance.Hosts were quick to reply! Thank you!!

We decided not to bring our dog so Kyle refunded our fifty dollar pet fee. The heater made some funny noises after was on for a while but it worked and we turned it off before going to bed. Location was great to get to the beach.

Family of 4 stayed here in December 2022. Location is nice. 10 minute walk to downtown Carlsbad. One block to the beach, but there is less traffic and noise thanks to the house being in a residential area and not on a primary street. Everything in the house that we used worked just fine. The beach chairs etc. that were provided came in handy. Kyle was a great host. It's likely that we will reserve this property again in the future.

This property is a gem and exactly as presented in the photos. It is comfortable, impeccably clean, well appointed, and ideally located a block from the beach and approximately 1/2 mile walk from Carlsbad Village. There is a good size deck and a large fenced lawn in the back of the home with landscaping that makes the yard very close to private. We were vacationing with our dog and Carlsbad is one of the most dog friendly towns we have ever encountered. While the property is not air-conditioned, there are ceiling and tower fans and excellent cross breezes from the windows. The check-in was seamless and the host was extremely responsive when we had questions. We hope to return in 2025.

This is my second stay here. Great location, one block from the beach and walkable to downtown in a quiet neighborhood ( construction this summer made it a bit noisier). The house is well equipped and spacious. One of my favorites to stay at.

We had a wonderful stay in Carlsbad. This cottage was perfect for our weeklong stay. So great to have a washer and dryer, deck, yard, beach chairs, and lawn games! We parked our car in the driveway and walked everywhere! Terrific location!

Overall, the house was as described in the listing. It has all the basics needed and is only a block from the beach. The backyard is great for kids and dogs. Also, the owner is also communicative and helpful as needed. The only mild disappointment encountered during our stay was in relation to the neighborhood, not the house itself - there are multiple active construction sites near the home making early morning noise a slight issue if you are looking to sleep undisturbed past 7ish AM. Other than that, all was well!

We visited the property with our 2 sons (4/6). The location is great, right next to the beach and walking distance to great restaurants. Also close to legoland! A nice backyard for the kids to play in and off street parking. Would highly recommend to families staying in the area.

Kyle was a great host. He was very responsive anytime I had a question. My family and I had a great time and would definitely use his property in any future vacations to Carlsbad. We highly recommend his property to anyone looking for a great and relaxing place. One last thing our little Pomsky loved the backyard to the point where she wanted to sleep outside!
