The most welcoming staff. The lobby bar stays open as long as you want something and if it’s already closed, they will make you a drink after hours. Wonderful room with house made fudge on the pillows.

The hotel is situated at a quiet place next to the river, that is an easy and quick stroll into the main hub of town. Be mindful of the electronic gate when it opens inward so you don’t have to quickly reverse your car as you leave the hotel.

Lovely, new, clean hotel. Facilities good. Centrally located. Some staff excellent and some staff ok. Valet, and man showing us to our room was very engaging. Man at breakfast was not great. Didn’t ask if everything was ok. And generally was quite grumpy. 9/10.

Booked this as a birthday present for my friend and his partner. Beautiful place, great food and super attentive staff. What really upset me though is the fact that after spending over £750 there for 1 night for 2 and dinner for 4, they have charged my friend a £20 for parking. Yes, I know it clearly states that on the website, still, one would think that it isn't quite fair. Not to mention, that £20 for a night of parking is a little excessive, never paid this much in London, never mind the Highlands. After a fab night and a great meal, such a disappointment.

The hotel, food and bar were wonderful and the staff was amazing. Especially Sue who helped us out with champagne when we arrived, help with fixing the flat on our rental car and directed us to the best pubs, food and kilt shopping in town. We will be back!

The welcome was superb. A complimentary glass of champagne whilst checking in was lovely. Shown to our room which as described had a lovely view of the river. The room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. However, for a five star hotel, it was surprising to see the residue of double sided tape on the tiles of the toilet where an accessory had been stuck and then removed but the tape left! The bar was well stocked and had a lovely atmosphere. Watch out if you ask for a bowl of peanuts. You’ll be charged £5 for the privilege. As a result I never drank in bar again during our stay so it cost them much more in the longer term. My biggest issue was breakfast. It’s not a comment against the staff, who worked tirelessly, nor the food which was excellent (albeit restricted in choice of cereals) but the system which seemed to be at times a shambles. An example was having got a pot of tea my wife asked for a pot of hot water. It took 10 minutes to get the water. It was as though the request was processed on the terminal so went to the bottom of the list in the kitchen. The other major issue, I think, is the we’re no staff “hovering” to ensure tables were cleared of dirty plates. This meant when your cooked breakfast arrived there was much juggling of plates and bowls. One couple I noted got so fed up waiting for their dirty breakfast plate to be removed, to free up space, they just took them and dumped them on the next table! I don’t expect this from a five star hotel.

Final night of 5 in the Highlands. Wanted a bit of luxury to end on. The hotel is lovely and situated in a picturesque spot within the town. The food was top notch. However the service both at dinner and for breakfast was chaotic and out of sync. Beware. This hotel charges £20 a night to use their car park even for residents. Also beware of the non disclosed gratuity charges on the bills, and the mini bar charges. All in all this is a good 4 star hotel but has a bit to go before I would qualify it as a 5 star.

The staff is above and beyond attentive to guests needs. The property is very well maintained. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Rowan suite. It was absolutely brilliant, room was immaculate and very clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and even showed us to our room and how to use some of the amenities. Would definitely recommend to friends and family, and we will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Ness Walk for two nights as part of a Highlands tour and were so pleasantly surprised! This 5-star hotel exceeded our expectations from the moment we walked in after a long day. From our greeting to the welcome glass of champagne to the Head Concierge, Steve Hales, walking us through the features of our room, we felt like we were the only guests in the hotel. The breakfast is outstanding! And, when we requested a taxi, Mr. Hales took us in the hotel car to meet our tour. I cannot wait to return in May!

We had a room right next to the reception desk. It was awful. Very noisy. Every time someone went out to smoke or whatever you could hear every conversation. Also the car parking was in front of our window which is gravel so you could hear it every time someone left. I will say the bathrooms and the bar is very nice.

Loved our stay!!! We had such an amazing stay. Room facing the gardens was perfect and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Service was outstanding!!! The location was perfect, close to everything, specially having the River Ness for a morning jog.

The staff were all amazing. The only thing I'd say negatively is that the hotel is listed as a 5 star, and while the staff, restaurant and common area felt 5 star, our room did not. There wasn't anything actually wrong with the room, it just didn't feel very high end.

The warm welcome we received was exemplary. Grace, Steve and the sweet little local cat (I forget her name!) in particular ensured our (short) stay got off to the perfect start and the service remained exceptional throughout. The accommodation itself was immaculate and the breakfast was fantastic. Could not have wished for a better place to stay.

Hands down one of the best service experiences I’ve ever had. Both my wife and I commented separately about this as literally every staff member was extremely welcoming. Started with the welcome drinks in the lounge as they checked us in, the housekeeping staff and everyone in between. We didn’t pass a single staff member without getting a smile, them wishing us a good day and asking if we needed anything. I’ve traveled to 60+ countries, I live in Dubai where we have some of the best service in the world and Ness Walk stood out as one of the best experiences we’ve had. The location of the hotel is perfect, the room was comfortable and breakfast was great. We’re coming back!

This place is absolutely beautiful and quiet. The staff is above and beyond anything we have experienced. Mark the concierge was amazing with helping us make accommodations and Chris in the dining area was so outgoing and welcoming. We loved it so much we booked 3 more nights and decided to stay in the area. The whole staff made us feel at home

Fantastic hotel!! Beautiful and stylish but cosy and welcoming - sitting right on the River Ness it is a lovely short walk away from Inverness centre. The staff are very helpful, the food delicious and the ambience peaceful but with a certain buzz as it is justifiably popular

Nice hotel in a good location with lovely staff who are always available to help. Unfortunately the breakfast was disappointing for my wife. She asked for the porridge but with water instead of milk as she is lactose intolerant and we were told it was pre prepared and that it couldn’t be cooked with water (this isn’t a 5 star service.) Separately, today at breakfast they ran out of yoghurt and no alternative was offered. Again, I would not have expected this of a 5 star hotel as there was still over an hour left of breakfast service. Rooms are pleasant and the hotel overall is nice but compared to other 5 star hotels we have stayed in it is quite far off. There are better value hotels in Inverness along the river.

From the minute we arrived, we were treated with exceptional service. Welcome glass of champagne, checked our bags which were brought to our room when ready and friendly staff the entire 3 night stay. The location is perfect for walking Ness Walk - a bit longer to town but we didn't mind as hotel is just beautiful. They had the best breakfast offerings of any place we've been - especially the fresh fruit. The restaurant did not disappoint either. Worth every penny spent!

Spectacularly located along River Ness, superbly trained, attentive staff and luxurious accommodations deserve only high fives! Subtraction in our view for lack of a harmonious interior decorative design and tired dinner recipes lacking spirit, though all superbly prepared. We felt pampered though not emotionally challenged.
