I stayed in the carriage house, which had everything I needed: a mini fridge, good water pressure, a comfortable bed, and Netflix, and closet space. Outside was a small patio with chairs and a table. JT’s has, for me, a New Orleans vibe, with its brick walkway to the back, light fixtures inside. Only a short walk to Antique Alley, where I spent some time browsing and enjoying a couple of pastry shops. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Great place the owner watch you and shows you how to use everything in your room where everything is it had a refrigerator with soda and ice cold water even had a working ice machine. Our stay at the John Thomas B&B was fantastic. Very quiet and comfortable, and communication with the host was clear and timely. The home and gardens are beautiful, and helped add to our rest and relaxation. I strongly recommend staying at the John Thomas B&B!

We were met by our host who gave us a tour of our room. The space was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable with a plethera amount of resturants nearby. I heard a train in the distance, but my husband and I quickly fell asleep about 9:pm and slept soundly until the next morning. My husband enjoyed a cup of coffee outside in the courtyard watching the sunrise.

This is an extremely nice bed and breakfast, although they do not serve breakfast. Snacks, coffee, tea, cold drinks and water are free of charge. Wi-Fi is also free. The rooms are comfortable, clean and extremely well decorated. Staying here was truly a pleasure.

We were greeted by the host with a warm smile and welcome. This place is really great because of its location and because of it beautiful well maintained property. The host gave us some recommendations for dinner and they were within waliking distance. It was the perfect way to end a day on the road. The space is very well thoughtout and the bed, what a cloud to rest on. The space was exceptionally clean and the ambiance was peerfect. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this property. It was absolutely beautiful, completely comfortable and amazingly curated. I had to come to Louisiana at the last minute to check on my dad in the hospital and this nearby property offered me a place of respite in a very stressful time. I left very quickly from my house, and I didn’t have a toothbrush or deodorant. This place had everything I needed. It even had a refrigerator stocked with drinks, water, and some snacks. Moreover, the room is large and there’s plenty of space for me to do my work and get organized while still trying to see about my father at the hospital. Very grateful for this place and it is excellent. It is reasonably price and it is a value. The staff is amazing and even gave me a ride to the hospital, which almost made me cry.

What a wonderful place to stay in West Monroe, LA! John has created a very charming oasis a short walking distance from the restaurant district of West Monroe. The decor reflects John’s very tasteful approach to interior design and the room includes every amenity imaginable. The place was absolutely breathtaking and his care is seen throughout the property down to the immaculately manicured bushes. He is an amazing host and can give you recommendations on places to go in the area no matter what you are looking for. It’s a 4 minute drive to the historic downtown Monroe, just over the bridge and walking distance to cute shops, bakeries and eateries. The street is peaceful and quiet. It was an ideal stay that exceeded my expectations.

We had an amazing stay!!! Everything was perfect. John was so helpful with anything we needed whether reservations, dinner, local pubs, and his knowledge and history of not only his property but everything around. We would recommend a stay here anytime. We will be back.

Thank you for your recommendations- they were all spot on and gave us an opportunity to have multiple adventures. We had never been to a Celtic festival and it was intriguing. What an amazing group of people that continue celebrating the traditions of the Celtic people. Can’t wait to make Monroe one of our top long weekend adventures. Next time my husband can bring his clubs so I can spend more time in the antique shops- going down memory lane. We’ll be sure to book your carriage house for our stay! John is incredible. His attention to detail and eye for style is unparalleled. The place was absolutely breathtaking and his care is seen throughout the property down to the immaculately manicured bushes. He is an amazing host and can give you recommendations on places to go in the area no matter what you are looking for. It’s a 4 minute drive to the historic downtown Monroe, just over the bridge and walking distance to cute shops, bakeries and eateries. The street is peaceful and quiet. It was an ideal stay that exceeded my expectations.

We stayed at the John Thomas house over Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful inside and out and is very well decorated. It was a block away from town and we were sent to multiple places to try and go eat and shop. We will definitely be staying again.

Great place the owner watch you and shows you how to use everything in your room where everything is it had a refrigerator with soda and ice cold water even had a working ice machine. This is an extremely nice bed and breakfast, although they do not serve breakfast. Snacks, coffee, tea, cold drinks and water are free of charge. Wi-Fi is also free. The rooms are comfortable, clean and extremely well decorated. Staying here was truly a pleasure.

We had an amazing stay!!! Everything was perfect. John was so helpful with anything we needed whether reservations, dinner, local pubs, and his knowledge and history of not only his property but everything around. We would recommend a stay here anytime. We will be back.

John has thought of everything! His property is beautiful, spotless and extremely comfortable. The rooms come with everything you could possibly need or want. We were greeted by the host with a warm smile and welcome. This place is really great because of its location and because of it beautiful well maintained property. The host gave us some recommendations for dinner and they were within waliking distance. It was the perfect way to end a day on the road. The space is very well thoughtout and the bed, what a cloud to rest on. The space was exceptionally clean and the ambiance was peerfect. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area. Highly recommend.
