Amazing hotel on the lagoon. We spent so much time on their pier and in the lagoon using the free canoes and paddle boards with life jackets. We didn't eat here but used the bar. The food did look good though. The room was nice but could do with a curtain around the bathroom area so people can get changed more discreetly. I would highly recommend this hotel.

CHECK IN: We called the hotel a day prior to our arrival and said that we were coming for a brief one night stay and needed to leave early. Requested an early check in. They promised to do their best to accommodate us. Room was not ready until 4:00 PM, an hour AFTER check in time. HOTELS.COM “special goodies” was a blah glass of juice. ROOM: we paid for the most expensive “Lagoon View Suite” only to be housed adjacent to the bar - listening to the bar staff all evening - while having absolutely no view. SERVICE: Staff was friendly but essentially “just doing their job” attitude. HOTEL LOCATION is right adjacent to a noisy beach-club robbing any serenity and romance from the idyllic deck photographs in the promo of the hotel. RATE IS HIGH for what you get.

Great experience, the hotel is right next to the lagoon, they have kayaks and SUPs you can use. The breakfast was good and the pool a good size for kids. The lagoon is warm so we swam there everyday. The room was beautiful with a hammock outside for relaxing. The hotel also has a small bar and the mezcalitas were delicious, i would highly recommend. We traveled with our 3 kids and we all loved our time in Bacalar.
