Lovely country pub tastefully decorated with Lotus pictures, the self contain single story rooms are spacious, quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast was great, sadly we didn’t get to sample the evening restaurant food, as I’m sure that would have been great too. At check in we had a friendly welcome from Janet who along with the rest of the staff that we meet were wonderful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again if ever back in this area.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Food was nice. Very large portions. No option for lighter meals. Room was nice and warm, bed was comfortable, my only gripe was the amount of cobwebs on the ceiling, down the sides of furniture and wardrobe. Can’t comment on breakfast because we felt it was a little expensive and choose to eat elsewhere.

I stay at a lot of hotels in the course of my work and although this stay was a personal one, I can say that it was excellent on any measure. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, the room spacious, impecably clean and with all the provisions that you would expect. I would highly recommend this hotel / accommodation, which to put into context is the first time over many years where I have felt it appropriate to do so.

Lovely country pub with accommodation. Room was very comfortable and clean with good quality linen. Dinner was well priced with large servings. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was tasty with good quality ingredients. Only criticism is that there were no breakfast options for children. Perhaps some cereal on offer would go along way for kids or even just a simple boiled egg with soldiers. Thanks for a lovely safe stay!

Unfortunately, there were flies in the Bedroom & Restaurant, and you had to continually battle to keep the flies off the food & drinks. Raised it with a member of staff who said there was nothing they could do, it was just the season. Suggest management need to take the problem seriously, and find the source.

I normally enjoy staying at The Bird In Hand; friendly staff, good food & Oh so clean! - This time however, the bedroom at night was too cold & the thin duvet was of summer weight. there was no blanket in the wardrobe so I spent the night with a sweater over my nightclothes & a coat on top of the duvet & still felt cold. It is winter now & these problems should have been addressed.

I've stayed at 'The Bird's a couple of times when visiting the Lotus factory. The staff are soo friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. This even applies when half the factory decend on the pub, some want feeding and at half term. All this with only a couple of staff (because it should be a quiet Tuesday evening), but despite that still friendly, accommodating and always serving great food. The rooms are very spacious, quiet and comfortable as well.

The room was very clean and spacious. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If we have reason to go to south Norfolk again we will definitely stay at the bird in hand again.

Lovely large room (7), very spacious. Large bathroom, with shower over bath. Tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits provided, as well as 2 cans of fresh water. The food at the pub was absolutely superb and the staff very friendly.

All the staff were amazing attentive friendly and professional. We ate in the bar very nice setting. All our food was very good. We also had breakfast which was delicious and coffee was great. Only downside, bathroom could have been cleaner with a bit more attention to detail.
