Residence Inn by Marriott Fishkill

Excellent hotel, new and very clean. We did not have the opportunity to use the gym or the pool, but the facilities are well maintained. The breakfast has good variety and taste. The staff is very friendly. Due to a change of plans, I had to cancel a day before and they refunded my money.

Check in quick and pleasant, room was nice and comfortable. Great pillows, towels, bedding. I enjoyed the clean and warm pool. Wonderful breakfast.

Just a little one night vacation with my four kids and it was perfect. The room was immaculate, the pool was clean and just the right size. The kids loved the simple breakfast and were super comfortable sleeping there (and I had four in one room!)

We always stay at Residence Inn when we travel through Fishkill. The suite we stayed in was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kids always enjoy the pool and they have the BEST breakfast offering of anywhere we've stayed by far!! Its always a great experience!

The staff in every work area were professional, courteous and helpful in all situations. The gym was clean and good to go. Breakfast was fantastic each morning. The room was wonderful!! An excellent place to stay at!!

Outstanding stay! Stayed with my wife and two young kids when we were in the area to visit family. The hotel Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Indoor pool was well maintained. Free breakfast was great. Kids loved the spacious room. Overall highly recommend!

We came up here for an overnight with our two kids. We stayed in a two queen room. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. A lot of people had the same idea in terms of a quick staycation, so the pool was very crowded and its not particularly big...but that is not the hotels fault of course... i did feel the pool area was a little dirty....like the bottom of the pool needed to be scrubbed a little, but not enough to keep us out of it or anything. toiletries were included, so you can pack lighter! the room comes with a tv that has streaming services, though you do have to login to your own netflix, however it was very easy. The Dutchess Biercafe in town was quite good for take out (looked cute to eat in too!), and Beacon is just 5-10 minutes away with tons to do. I would recommend and think we will be back for another staycation!

The room was run down especially in the bathroom. There was a musty smell. It was doable sleeping for the one night but next time I’m in the area I will find a different place.

The bathroom in the lobby was dirty when we first arrived. The next day using it, there weren’t any hand towels to dry your hands.

Very clean modern hotel. Loved the studio room. It had a good size sofa/trundle bed. Big walk in closet, big and very roomy bathroom as well. Overall I really enjoyed the room and stay.

I've been on the fence whether to rate this property a 3 or 4 and I ultimately had to go with a 3 for us personally. Here's why. The property is well-maintained and clean and the staff was always very accommodating with anything we requested. But we were here for 8 days and the level of discomfort and confusion we experienced made us ultimately cancel a future reservation we had at another Residence Inn on our return trip because we couldn't do this anymore. The beds are very firm to the point that our son decided sleeping on the pullout bed was more comfortable even for his young body. The chairs at the dining table were bar height while the table was standard height, making it impossible to sit with your legs under the table. Tried moving the table to the couch, but the legs were so wobbly we didn't want to break it. We'd brought games to pass the time but that went out the window. And that couch was so low you had to do a squat to get up off of it, so that means there was basically nowhere comfortable to sit. There was only one bedside table for two queen beds so I had to use the ironing board to hold my CPAP. There were exactly zero towel hooks in the bathroom (the only one that should've been there was broken). If there was a method to how often housekeeping would come, we certainly never figured it out. And all of this was for a "mobility accesible room". So it's certainly no roach motel, but maybe not rest for weary travelers either.

Walls are very thin. Could hear everything in the room above and below us and also in the hallway.

Room faced garbage bin, where early every morning, pickup dumpster would wake us up. If going here, ask for a front dorr facing room

Love this hotel I come to the area frequently for work and the service here is always terrific. They greet guests well and I love their thoughtfulness. They have activities for kids and always have little community events posted. You can tell people like working there.

Very friendly and helpful staff!!

We had booked at this hotel for more than 2 months and arrived at the hotel we learned that they no longer had any rooms because they were overbooked (we were 5 people). They transferred us to another hotel (only 1 room for 4 people) and we had to negotiate for 2 hours to get an extra bed... never again this hotel. In addition, we were not able to reach Expedia via a telephone number... we were very disappointed with our stay.

My wife and I arrived at this property to a very uncomfortable room assignment on the first floor near the cleaning staff main operation area. Some 9 large dirty laundry carriages lined up along the hall way. Our request for a different room assignment was met with very condescending and highly disrespectful questioning and treatment from the staff. Even though we were assigned another room, it was still very unacceptable to us. From that point on things deteriorated with the staff in question to the point that we had to talk with the assistant manager, who had not returned numerous phone calls and simply appeared as if from nowhere. In essence, we were simply advised to find another hotel; which we did; of course, not without the waste of waiting time with our travel agency that comes along with canceling a hotel booking.

I was politely told 2 hrs before checking in that they overbooked and they were moving me to a different less appealing small hotel. Disappointed beyond words. That said, Residents looked like ir was a beautiful property and wished we weren’t moved at the last minute. :(

Great property and wonderful staff!

The hotel advised me when I contacted them hours before arrival that they had no water and would need to book me at another hotel. This hotel unfortunately was definitely not the same standards as Residence so it was quite disappointing. I was promised to receive a refund for my first night stay and only be charged for the second night. I have yet to see any refund.

I had no hot water for my shower. Called front desk and she said oh yeah. We are having issues with water on those floors. They acted like it was no big deal.

There’s a lake around but very cold in winter. It’s 10 minutes drive from the Main Street of Beacon by uber.

Property was a newer property behind an office complex so it was fairly quiet and easily navigable on a weekend. Close to the highway so on/off was convenient.

Great staff. Convenient to Hudson Valley attractions. Room suites have all the kitchen amenities you need for an extended stay.

Very nice and clean facility. Good breakfast. We packed six people into a suite for a quick night's stay and it worked well for our needs. Would recommend for the area. It is a little tricky finding the place (in the dark) as it is in the back of a business area behind other hotels and some corporate buildings, but again...really nice.

Convenient location, many dining options around, small pond nearby. Rooms were large, best continental breakfast I have had with many options.

Second time staying here. The area in general isn’t great if you don’t drive but this place is surprisingly walkable. Also nice rooms and friendly staff.

Very nice hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size. We liked the sitting area that had a couch and TV. The hallways needed to be vacuumed, but everything else was very clean. The breakfast was really good too. We loved the location, really close to a Super Walmart and plenty of places to eat. We would definitely stay again at this hotel.
