The condominium rooms are very nice. The personal hot spring tub in the room was great. The room was quite large by Japan standards. The overall condition of the property was excellent, with lots of fun communal spaces like public and private onsens, a library, and a kids area. The free beer and sodas at various times of the day were a nice touch. The dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent. It is a few minute walk from 2 train stations and the open air museum. Highly recommended.

I loved this hotel, wish I could stay longer. Lovely common areas to relax both indoors and outdoors, free drinks and snacks, alcoholic at night, as well as a lovely array of desserts in the evening. Everyone walking around in their yukatas provided by the hotel gives a very relaxing vibe. I enjoyed both the communal (had it to myself) and private onsens. It was nice that the private pnsen had a window to see nature outside. The outdoor terrace with footbath was also lovely, with comfortable seating. My room was simple, quiet, and clean (futons) in West building. Great location 5 minutes walk from Gora station.

Great 1 night stay. Perfect location only a 5min walk from Gora station where you get both the train down to Odawara and the cable car for the start of the circular trip around Hakone. Really quiet and plenty of free drinks and snacks from 3pm onwards then free alcohol from 1900 which was a nice touch. Also has private and public Onsens you can use.

The room looked very different from the photos, which were clearly taken several years ago. The tatami flooring was covered in questionable stains. The small non-tatami area (meant for removing shoes and storing luggage) was literally tiny, which probably explains why the tatami is so dirty—guests most likely end up stepping on it with their shoes and rolling their suitcases on it. The in-room amenities felt more in line with a one- or two-star hotel: very basic furniture, a bean-filled pillow, an extremely simple and tiny bathroom, a door that opens the wrong way, and an overall unpleasant smell. On top of that, we found a hair on the bed. The common areas were completely unmaintained. The carpets were very, very stained, and the place was very dusty—in short, the hotel was dirty. The only saving grace was the staff, who were warm and welcoming. The breakfast was also very varied, with options for all tastes, which was a definite plus.

コンドミニアムに泊まる。 ゴキブリが出る。 撃退後スタッフに報告。 ありがとう、と感謝される（笑） スタッフの対応として、ゴキブリが出るのは ごく当たり前のような感じ。 支配人ような人からは丁寧な謝罪はあった。 部屋を変更を申し出なければ何も対応してくれなそうだったので、渋々申告。 かなりいい部屋にアップグレードされた感じ。 あと、追加注文した料理もサービスとなった。 共有スペースはリノベされた感じで、 悪くはないが、所々汚い。 料理に関しては、アルコール飲み放題なので、 お酒好きにはいいと思う。 ビュッフェ式の食べ放題は、ほとんどスーパーの惣菜クラスのクオリティ。 また、別料金の追加ステーキは冷たくて最悪だった。 一人約2.5万ぐらいだったが、 今まで体験した中で、1番コスパが悪く感じた。

We had a lot of expectations from this hotel, and really wanted to like it as it was one of the more ‘luxury” hotels we splashed out on for our honeymoon. Whilst it was still a lovely stay, I don’t think it quite lived up to our expectations (but maybe they were too high!) We had a room with a private onsen, but the bathroom and room in general didn’t feel as clean as anywhere else we had stayed in Japan. The overall hotel did have a lot of facilities on offer, and I think would have been good with children, but to us it felt a little more like a European all inclusive a little past its heyday, and was too large to give the feeling of luxury. The onsens were some of the least inspiring looking that we had stayed at, and the breakfast / dinner options were good, but good for mass catering rather than standalone good meals. We did enjoy being able to wear the robes around the resort though, which was relaxing and quite a fun experience. This wouldn’t have swayed our opinion of the hotel, but we had let all the places we stayed know it was our honeymoon in advance of our trip, and most had left a small token in our rooms (nothing big - just a cute message with a folded towel animal, or a congratulations at reception, etc). This was the only hotel we stayed at which didn’t mention it at all which contributed to the feeling of the impersonal resort-esk vibe.

Overall it was a great stay. The property was close to transport and sightseeing options. My daughter liked the drink buffet and the Ibsen experience. The breakfast was lacking for a non Japanese customer. The outside appeared a bit run down. There was no cold water in the shower so we had to use the private onsen down the hallway. Staff said they would look into it however the issue was not fixed.

サイトのお写真が綺麗だったり、SNSでの投稿が素敵だったので期待しすぎたのかもしれませんが、お部屋がカビ臭かったり、お風呂場にゴキブリがいたりと残念でした。 ホテルの方々はとてもサービスがよくて、接客面では満点です。 繁忙期ということなのか、金額が一泊食事なしで6万以上となると総合的には満足いかないホテルといった感じでした。

とても快適に過ごせました。 気になる点としては、浴室の黒カビが目立っていて不快でした。特に蛇口の黒カビと浴槽周りの赤カビです。壁のタイルも黒カビがあり、窓が開かないので仕方ないのかもしれませんが、もう少し掃除をお願いしたいです。 他にもベッド上や照明器具の埃、ドライヤー内の埃、テーブルにセロテープがくっついたままなど目立ちました。 また宿泊をしたいのでその辺が改善されたら嬉しいです。 お食事はとても美味しく、大変満足です。 スタッフの方々もとても親切でした。 館内に寛げるスペースも沢山あって良かったです。 ありがとうございました。

We asked for an upper floor quiet room. Our room was in the corner overlooking the footbath and it was silent and very large. The library with snacks and all you could drink area was wonderful. Breakfast buffet was varied and the food was plentiful and delicious. The location cant be beat either. It is located in between Gora station and open air museum. Both within walking distance.

No concerns about cleanliness etc. very nice staff but could use mor help at reception desk. Very nice breakfast. Room was large but no luggage rack or place to open luggage except hooks at entry. Also I am not a fan of only overhead lighting. You either had all the lights on in the room or a local light by the doorway, no soft lighting and certainly no lights by the bed to perhaps read without using a device.

コンドミニアムに宿泊。 部屋が広く4人家族でも全員で足が伸ばせる程の大きなソファもあり、快適に過ごせました。 部屋のお風呂も源泉掛け流しなので、いつでも好きな時に温泉に入れるので子供が居ても安心でした。 女性用のクレンジングオイル、化粧水なども部屋に完備してあり助かりました。 また子供の落下防止のため事前にベッドをくっつけるお願いした際、快諾いただき助かりました。 飲み物、アイス、お菓子と食べ放題三昧だったので子供達は大喜びでした。

We had the condo room and needed to walk outside to the main building. It was raining the day we checked in. We didn’t enjoy the free drink at night as we didn’t want to go back to the main building as raining badly. Room size is good. The dinner and breakfast are super disappointed. Buffet is not much choices and main course is not fresh.

The room was spacious (family of 4 with 2 teenagers) and clean. The beds were big but a tiny bit hard. The breakfast buffet was excellent with extensive choices both Japanese and enough western food options for our picky family :). I enjoyed the Onsen a few times and the location was perfect, just a 3 minute walk from Gora Station with direct access to the Hokane-Tozan railway and Cable Car (to ropeway). I would recommend this to all my friends visiting this area in the future.

I loved my stay at Hakone Yutowa and would like to visit again sometime. The library and the outdoor foot onsen were two of my favourite spots. Huge room which was a welcome change compared to other cities. Walkable to Gora station.

Nice big room and bath water prepared for our stay. Hotel was nice. With lots of snacks, drinks, ice cream and unlimited drinks at certain time. However, AC was too warm for the August summer heat and cannot be adjusted. Only 1 key was provided for a family of four and the condominium required the key to enter the building, resulting in having to move as 1 team instead of splitting up to explore the hotel. It’s a long walk to get to the main building for the library and dinning room. There was a wide selection of manga tha my kids enjoyed.

スタッフさんは大変親切です。交通機関の遅れでチェックインが遅くなりましたが、オペレーションを組み替えて対応してくださいました。 フリードリンクのラウンジがあるのでコーヒー等に困ることはありませんでしたが、部屋にペットボトルの水を置いてくれればさらに良いかと思いました。

I cannot recommend this hotel, despite its wonderful and convenient location and the free drinks and snacks offered in the evening. It has too many deficits, although some could be easily remedied. Inexplicably the hotel was constructed without elevator access to the rooms in the west wing, and the staff does not offer to help with bags, even for guests such as us, in our 70s and 80s. The stairs are not inconsiderable. The bathroom was tiny. There was no chair or stool in our room, despite ample space in the entryway, making it difficult to change from slippers to shoes, again especially so for the elderly. The mattress and pillow were hard, with the former placed essentially on the floor. The breakfast was unexceptional, with poor baked goods. Finally, checkout time is 10AM, earlier than the typical 11AM for Japan.

A few minutes walk from the Gora train station, the hotel has spacious room with big window of Mountain View. The breakfast was fantastic with so many traditional Japanese or Western style choices. We bought the dinner buffet in the hotel, which was excellent in a relaxing environment. The free coffee, snacks in the afternoon and free beer in the evening at the library is a really nice touch. We wanted to run around Lake Ashino so we changed to running cloth, stored our luggages and backpacks, including my friend’s backpack. When we returned to check in, the Indian receptionist keeps on asking about my Japanese friend, even though I ensured her that my friend just needs to pick up her backpack (all our luggages and backpacks were already placed in our room, a nice service) from our room and leave. The Indian receptionist’s attitude is a steep contrast — arrogant, suspicious — from all the other stuff we have encountered in the hotel, who are all welcoming and polite.

The breakfast buffet was excellent with extensive choices both Japanese and enough western food options for our picky family :). I enjoyed the Onsen a few times and the location was perfect, just a 3 minute walk from Gora Station with direct access to the Hokane-Tozan railway and Cable Car (to ropeway). I would recommend this to all my friends visiting this area in the future.

I loved my stay at Hakone Yutowa and would like to visit again sometime. The library and the outdoor foot onsen were two of my favourite spots. Huge room which was a welcome change compared to other cities. Walkable to Gora station.

Great 1 night stay. Perfect location only a 5min walk from Gora station where you get both the train down to Odawara and the cable car for the start of the circular trip around Hakone. Really quiet and plenty of free drinks and snacks from 3pm onwards then free alcohol from 1900 which was a nice touch. Also has private and public Onsens you can use.

Everything is good, food is good and the location is not bad which is closed to the train station and is easy for visitor to go visiting some famous sightseeing point nearby. The parking arrangement is not too good, while the carparking space is 200m away from the hotel.

Great place to stay near Gora station, high in the mountains of Hakone. However It is very inconvenient to have to carry suitcases up and down stairs, because the elevator doesn’t go to each floor. Be aware of this if you are not able-bodied. Travelled should be aware that there is nowhere to eat dinner or breakfast except from in the hotel itself, and it’s quite expensive. Reception staff are wonderful & helpful.

Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Japan. The hotel is a nice mix of traditional and contemporary. Everything was depicted exactly as it was shown in the photos. The onsen wasn't too crowded. The location was perfect. I recommend getting dinner at the hotel it was exceptional. The entire staff was was next level service. I would stay here again if I could.

We had the condo room and needed to walk outside to the main building. It was raining the day we checked in. We didn’t enjoy the free drink at night as we didn’t want to go back to the main building as raining badly. Room size is good. The dinner and breakfast are super disappointed. Wish we had been able to stay more than one night here. It was pouring rain for our whole stay, but this hotel sure helped ease the disappointment of not seeing Mt Fuji during our stay. (We did luck out and see it from the train later in our trip.) The facilities are beautiful, we loved the women’s onsen and the private onsen, and we all enjoyed the onsen bath in our room -particularly my 12 year old daughter who was not willing to go to the other onsens with her mom/parents. Dinner was a little out of our price range, and we couldn’t find many dinner options in the area, but there was a combini within walking distance (also made the 12 year old happy.) Breakfast was delicious with so many options- the hardest thing was choosing which to skip! Definitely a place I’ll dream of until I visit again!

Excellent location!! Super close to Gora station, which is where the Hakone railway ends and The Hakone Loop starts. Multiple bus stops near and food options as well. Property had everything you could want. Public/private onsen, big breakfast buffet selection, and tons of space to hang out and relax. Free snacks and beer every evening as well. Recommend

This is the best hotel I stayed at during my Tokyo-Yokohama-Hakone trip. The largest room, great breakfast buffet, polite staff, great amenities, especially the baths and lounge area. Tucked away from the busy city, much more calm and serene. A very short walk to the train station to get everywhere else. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
