The design of the hotel is beautiful. The receptionists and bartender were all kind. The hotel room itself was beautiful, clean with a wonderful view however, there was a night where we experienced the elevator not working, no one on site and had to force the doors open to be able to enter our rooms. The internet was also not working so we were scared we’d be locked out of our hotel. When we notified the staff the next day they gave us free breakfast for 2 days. Honestly, I would have appreciated that night refunded because I had never experienced something like this with a hotel before and questioned where we’d sleep that night had we not been able to open the door. On our last day, a particular lady working in the buffet was very rude and disrespectful to multiple people including myself. Beautiful place, just had a terrible experience with the elevator and lady at the buffet. Besides that, everything was wonderful.

Preface our review by fact that elevator not working . No chance of repair. Necessitating carrying heavy pieces of luggage up very steep and dangerous stairs. I am 84 and wife 72. We would have cancelled and sought another hotel.had we known. This after tranatlantic air travel and 7 hour time diff. Our first room had termites swarmingthereby needingto change to a higher floor. I can go on and on about air not working, no ability to call desk because staff was helping people with bags. Plugs foruUS folks needed adapter so phones not charged. Location a neighborhood at least with a grocery around corner. Now kudos to valiant staff who were outstanding. Especially the following people: Collins, Vaselika and Sven.

A nice, well styled hotel. With it being a smaller hotel, it has some unique hallway situations, my room was only accessible by stairs, which was fine by me, but other people seem to have issues with that. Maybe ask for a room accessible by elevator if you have very big luggage. In general I was happy, just some small annoyance: my TV remote was missing and somebody’s half eaten room service tray was sitting in the hallway for 24h+ even after housekeeping made up the rooms on that floor.

Quirky property with lovely big room ...but noisy at night. Our stay was slightly by the the fact that the lift was out of order... My travel companion found the 60 steps every time we left or returned to our room, exhausting. Staff were, on the whole, helpful. This hotel is ideally located near to a metro station and within walking distance of key sites (the cube houses and market hall). It was nice to have a coffee machine in the room .. but I was disappointed that decaf was not an option. Breakfast was nice. A limited, but tasty, choice of hot options - the bread selection was lovely. It set us up well for each day.

Staff was super friendly. Room was quite nice. The water closest with the toilet was a touch small. Not a huge concern but it youre over 6 feet tall it might be uncomfortable. This hotel also had the best gym I've seen in any hotel Ive stayed at personally. The location was really good, you can get to most of the best bits of Rotterdam walking from here.

Elevator was broken so they offered free breakfast which I only used 1 of 3 mornings. I was able to work comfortably from the hotel and the gym was decent with free weights.

Dejlig placering med god nattero. Perfekt med en Lidl butik lige under hotellet, hvis det var noget vi manglede. Parkering i kælderen så bilen holder sikkert og nemt. Aircondition på værelset var skønt, samt god daglig rengøring. Helt sikkert et sted jeg vil anbefale

I have never had such a poor experience at a hotel. When we arrived there was some kind of older adult rave happening inside and the entire entrance of the hotel was blocked off. We didn’t believe this was our hotel and spent some time totally confused on the sidewalk until realizing and having to walk through the party with all our luggage and drunk people waving us along. The front desk staff was rude and short and totally unapologetic for the seriously loud noise in the lobby that made it nearly impossible to hear him. When we finally got the keys to our room we were struck by the dirty stained carpet in the hallway and how hot and stuffy the room was. The icing on the cake was that there was no sheets on the bed. This place was unclean and lacked hospitality in every way and was a terrible first impression of Rotterdam. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

Very friendly staff also very precise . Checked the payment status and told us we payed to much money and refunded. The room was lovely, the lobby was great. Everything well kept and looked after. Only downside: the drain in our bathroom smelled pretty bad on our first day (was solved by the bext morning) and the loading dock was directly below our window which woke us quite early both mornings.

Très agréable chambre deluxe avec beaucoup de style avec un frigidaire et une grande table . Grand lit vraiment très confortable . Propreté impeccable. Le petit déjeuner était complet et la salle petit dej coquette . Personnel très professionnel. Notre semaine dans cet hôtel n’a été que bonheur avec un très bon rapport qualité prix .

Heel fijne ontvangst en sowieso heel vriendelijke medewerkers. Kamer mooi. Goed verzorgd. Gordijnen zaten vast tegen de wand aan de zijkant, en overlapten elkaar door 2 rails zodat je een mooi donkere kamer had. Vonden wij heel aangenaam. Op zich was de kamer heel schoon. Toch vonden we een reis toilettasje van iemand anders onder ons bed en wat chocoladerozijnen achter t gordijn. Badkamer en toilet heel schoon. De airco deed het niet 2 nachten. Dat was echt niet fijn, er was maar 1 raam wat deels open kon. Doordat de zon op het raam stond overdag en we er met vier sliepen werd het erg benauwd. We werden serieus genomen mbt de klacht. Het kon helaas niet opgelost worden maar er was een nette tegemoetkoming hierin. Ontbijt was uitgebreid. Persoonlijk vinden we het meer bij het hotel passen als er geen koffie uit een automaat te pakken is. Maar goed, zijn kleine details. Ontbijt was divers en voldoende. Sfeer in het hotel vonden we fijn. Open, ruim, licht. Al met al heel fijne dagen!

Short walk to Oostplein tram stop. There is a metro stop nearby too. Room was comfortable, if a little dark, even after getting a lightbulb for light over desk area. Fridge was useful Decent shower Unusual to have separate toilet to shower & sink area. Very tasty hot breakfast

A large room which was stylishly furnished in a retro style! Well equipped with coffee machine and a fridge. Aircon wasn’t particularly effective but the huge windows opened so it wasn’t a major problem. Some minor maintenance is required (eg curtains detached from rail at the edge), but overall a good experience

Great hotel, loved the penthouse with a brilliant view from the balcony. Not as central as some others but tram/metro stop just round the corner so easy to get around.

The hotel room itself was beautiful, clean with a wonderful view however, there was a night where we experienced the elevator not working, no one on site and had to force the doors open to be able to enter our rooms. The internet was also not working so we were scared we’d be locked out of our hotel. When we notified the staff the next day they gave us free breakfast for 2 days. Honestly, I would have appreciated that night refunded because I had never experienced something like this with a hotel before and questioned where we’d sleep that night had we not been able to open the door. On our last day, a particular lady working in the buffet was very rude and disrespectful to multiple people including myself. Beautiful place, just had a terrible experience with the elevator and lady at the buffet. Besides that, everything was wonderful.

Loved this hotel, however I am still waiting to receive my invoice 🙄 Beware, you need to opt out of daily room cleaning…I think it was super expensive, but since they haven’t emailed me my invoice I have not idea. I believe they also double charged me for my bar expenses one night, but once again they wouldn’t give and haven’t emailed my invoice. Everything else was fantastic.

The room was clean and very spacious, the bed was comfy, staff was very helpful and kind, food at the restaurant was good too. It is closed to the tram and metro so that’s a plus too and the area was nice and quiet.

Really enjoyed our stay. Fantastic Location- 5 mins from a tram stop & a tube station and only a 15 min walk to the Markthal (food court) and has a Lidl underneath the hotel. Great bars and restaurants nearby as well. We stayed on the 1st floor - room was spacious with a great balcony and very clean. Breakfast was good value as well. Bar & restaurant looked great but restaurant was fully booked so never got to experience it. Great vibe to the hotel with great decor & will definitely revisit when next in your great city.

I loved the room. It’s was very clean and I am picky. I had room 214. It slept 3 people with a large balcony. We drank at the bar several times and that went perfect. The breakfast buffet is highly recommended. They have everything one could possibly want.

Nice located hotel. Staff were lovely, and communal areas are well decorated and maintained. Room was a little tired, rug was stained. We visited at a very warm time of year so an air conditioning unit had been put in our room but it was extremely noisy and meant sleep was disrupted.

We loved our stay! The hotel was a cute boutique hotel and walking distance from Metro. The room was spacious. The staff was very friendly. Our only comment was the placement of the wall AC unit in our room (an engineering flaw), but they provided a standing fan, so our room stayed cool. We will definitely stay here again!
