Our experience with Ergon was great! The breakfast was delicious with a lot of different options. My four year old even found things she was happy with. It was a bummer that the rooftop bar was closed, but the staff directed us to another one a couple blocks away. I was surprised how quiet the rooms were given that the market is often bustling with people.

Very nice hotel. Has a roof top deck where we had a cocktail with a view of the Parthenon lit up at night. Beautiful. Included breakfast is amazing. They just say have anything on the menu you want and as much as you want. The restaurant/cafe is very good and seems to be busy at night with locals as well as tourists. Had a nice late dinner here.

Great location. Loved the concept with the hotel over the food market. Breakfasts and food all excellent. Very disappointed that the rooftop was closed this should have been on the web site. The hotel has good facilities but quality info from the staff or written information was not that helpful. There was a nice booklet in the room but as a guest it told me little about any common areas etc.

We had a great stay. It’s a very unique property. You essentially walk through a market/restaurant to get to the elevators to the lobby. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooftop bar has awesome views of the Acropolis. Lots of activity and shopping within a short walk.

Great experience. Loved the rooftop bar and views of the acropolis at sunset. Breakfast was delicious - a little slow so needed to allow time, but presentation and taste was worth it. Also convenient location in the heart of Athens and close to many restaurants and shopping. Would stay again.

A beautiful boutique hotel located close to the major attractions. Ergon house is known for its bakery and restaurant. The hotel is incorporated above the restaurant and food market. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The reception staff were outstanding. Our room was spacious with a view of the acropolis and had all the amenities one could want including bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was included in the downstair restaurant and we could order off the a la carte menu. We also dined at the restaurant one evening.

The Ergon House was conveniently located in Athens, close to many attractions and shopping. We walked everywhere. The room was clean and large. Our family of 4 fit quite comfortably with an extra bed for a 5th if needed. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious as well.

Our stay at the Ergon House was excellent. The room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. The bed was also very comfortable. We told the desk receptionists that we were going to the Meteora Monasteries so they checked to make sure the roads were no longer closed due to flooding. One receptionist actually called our next hotel in Kalabaka and the local police in that area to make sure it was safe to drive there. We really appreciated that extra attention and care. We also loved how they fitted us in for a dinner reservation upon arrival. Both dinner and next morning breakfast were fantastic! I will definitely stay again! Natalie

Great location, clean room, great staff in the hotel. The breakfast team where very, very, very slow and not worth the wait. My room was by a main floor entrance and was very noisy in the morning. Doors banging and people talking.

Fantastic location. close to everything and in a safe neighborhood. The staff was very nice and helpful. Great breakfast. Fun Rooftop bar. My complaints are with the room itself. Maybe I'm too old for this type of place, because it lacks "comforts". Our room was "Large" w/ 2 beds, 1 King, 1 twin, but they were on an elevated level, just big enough for the beds, kind of an unnecessary platform and a tripping hazard if you get up at night. The sink was open to the room with a door on either side for the shower and toilet. The sink looked nice- very urban modern, but very impractical. It was really shallow and water got all over the floor. There was no space on sink or nearby for toiletries. The room had no storage space or place to put clothing, no drawers or closet. We had dinner in the restaurant one night, but wouldn't recommend for dinner. Nice for lunch or breakfast

This was our second time at the Ergon house. We loved it the first time 3 yrs ago and enjoyed it again this year. I will say, the "large" room was a bit small for 2 adults and a child along with luggage. Really no room to unpack with no shelves or drawers for storage. We loved the restaurant's breakfast that was included in the rate as well as the Retire bar on the roof that has a very of the Parthenon! If we came back, we'd book the XL room for 3 people (like we did the first time).

The staff is super welcoming and very helpful. The room was fine in all respects except that it is hard for a person on one side of the King bed to walk around the bed. He/she has to slide over to the other side to get off the bed. This is because of the tight space at one end and on the shorter side. Also there were no cupboards. The water pressure was great in the bathroom. The breakfast was super good. The location is excellent.

So, the breakfast and location is amazing. But the rooms are small. If you are coming as a single or with a day pack, you won’t find it an issue, but if your a couple just flying in with large suitcases get the largest room there. Our medium was too small for us, but I’m sure would have been perfect for a single traveller or a couple with light luggage or backpacks.

Shower in the room is great, however we got the 4th floor and the roof top is on the 5th, it was too noisy and loud. The A/C ducts seem to be shared as I could hear the conversation from the room next door. We had a complicated checkin but the staff at checkout made up for the poor checkin. Location is perfect, just be aware parking is close to the hotel but at an extra cost.

My husband and I stayed in a Small room at Ergon House for 4 nights. What's important for us when traveling is comfortable beds, the ability to keep the room dark, cool (when it's hot out), and quiet for a peaceful sleep, and a helpful staff. This hotel and room checked all the boxes. Plus the included a la carte breakfast from the reataurant downstairs was FANTASTIC! The view from our room window overlooked the patio eatery downstairs (which was lovely) and I was worried it may be loud at night but the glass really did a great job of keeping out sound! I would definitely stay again.

Will not be staying here again or recommending to others only because of one person behavior. Pretty nice boutique hotel in interesting part of the city so has a nice vibe and atmosphere. Overall comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful except for the check in lady with red hair. I had my wife and 2 toddlers and her attitude was rigid and helpfulness almost zero. I was eligible for a room upgrade, but was told they are full. Secondly, the next day my flight was at late at night and I asked for some consideration (since i had a small 4 and 2 year old kids with me) to let me check out later then the normal late check out of 1pm, even an hour or 2 later. She proceeded to first tell me again they were fully booked, then said I can pay 300 euros (which was more expensive then what I paid for a full night), and then when said even an hour or 2, she gave another figure lower then 300, but still unreasonably high. The other staff seemed more flexible and understanding (check was a man and woman who were excellent 5/5). The lady in red needs a lesson in hospitality management, otherwise she might be better suited in a factory back office somewhere. Please make necessary changes. Today, even the big corporate hotel chain are more friendly and helpful and understanding, especially to family with little kids. Will not be staying here again or recommending to others only because of how much she put us off.

She proceeded to first tell me again they were fully booked, then said I can pay 300 euros (which was more expensive then what I paid for a full night), and then when said even an hour or 2, she gave another figure lower then 300, but still unreasonably high. The other staff seemed more flexible and understanding (check was a man and woman who were excellent 5/5). The lady in red needs a lesson in hospitality management, otherwise she might be better suited in a factory back office somewhere. Please make necessary changes. Today, even the big corporate hotel chain are more friendly and helpful and understanding, especially to family with little kids. Will not be staying here again or recommending to others only because of how much she put us off.

I am not happy that the staff told me there was going to be a strike and very much implied we would be stuck in Athens but failed to relay to me that just because there is a strike doesn’t mean your flight will be cancelled. As a result I paid for 3 tickets, AGAIN, so that I could ensure our departure and left a day early. I lost out on the money I paid for the extra day booked at this hotel as well as I had to pay extra to stay at a new destination; on top of the extra expense I incurred paying for airfare twice for 3 people.

Our stay at the Ergon House was excellent. The room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. The bed was also very comfortable. We told the desk receptionists that we were going to the Meteora Monasteries so they checked to make sure the roads were no longer closed due to flooding. One receptionist actually called our next hotel in Kalabaka and the local police in that area to make sure it was safe to drive there. We really appreciated that extra attention and care. We also loved how they fitted us in for a dinner reservation upon arrival. Both dinner and next morning breakfast were fantastic! I will definitely stay again! Natalie

The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful! We received a bottle of wine during our stay and the breakfast choices were amazing! Breakfast staff could be a little more friendly! Our room was clean and comfortable and the shower head had great pressure and was a perfect temperature! The downstairs restaurant and shop were excellent! We did not rent a car, and all of the historical landmarks were within walking distance.

We had an amazing stay at the Ergon Hotel. It is beautiful and in a great location. The restaurant downstairs is a must-visit. We needed to make some adjustments to our reservation upon arrival and everything was taken care of so efficiently. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Ergon House was conveniently located in Athens, close to many attractions and shopping. We walked everywhere. The room was clean and large. Our family of 4 fit quite comfortably with an extra bed for a 5th if needed. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious as well.

Great experience. Loved the rooftop bar and views of the acropolis at sunset. Breakfast was delicious - a little slow so needed to allow time, but presentation and taste was worth it. Also convenient location in the heart of Athens and close to many restaurants and shopping. Would stay again.

Brilliant location, walking distance to all of the main sites, tons of great restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Fantastic breakfast, you get to choose anything you want from their a la carte menu. Just wished the meal sizes were smaller so I could have tried more dishes. Will just have to visit their London deli to sample the rest of their great menu.

The hotel is right down down Athens! So convenient to walk everywhere. 6 minute walk to the Acropolis and monastiriki square. The food in the hotel restaurant is over the top. We ate there twice in 2 days. The breakfast is complementary and ala carte which was another 10/10 it’s not the typical hotel buffet. Over the top smoked salmon with salad on homemade bread. The bakery they own about 40 meters away has a non stop line that doesn’t end until the evening because of its fantastic baked goods. You won’t be disappointed and I will be back there.

Very nice hotel. Has a roof top deck where we had a cocktail with a view of the Parthenon lit up at night. Beautiful. Included breakfast is amazing. They just say have anything on the menu you want and as much as you want. The restaurant/cafe is very good and seems to be busy at night with locals as well as tourists. Had a nice late dinner here.

A beautiful boutique hotel located close to the major attractions. Ergon house is known for its bakery and restaurant. The hotel is incorporated above the restaurant and food market. Small room with very comfortable bed. Building seemed very old but lighting fixtures and furniture inside the room were new. Location is great and central to everything. Taxis were on strike the day we arrived but wish the hotel had informed us or were helpful when we asked them for help with our arrival. Restaurant had good food (especially the breakfast). Service was incredibly slow.

Beautiful hotel, perfectly situated. Full of character ... genuine Greek character. Our room was just the right size for a two-night stay. With a surprising view of the Acropolis. Pleasant, helpful staff. The bakery across the street is absolutely iconic, and the shop downstairs makes for exceptional souvenir-ing. We knew we would be back in Athens a week later ... staying in a different hotel in a different part of the city ...so we checked out nervously. One suggestion for improvement: the hotel doesn’t offer valet parking, and there was no bellboy available to help with luggage. This made things especially difficult for us as a couple traveling with a child and multiple bags, a porter or luggage assistance service would make a big difference for families in similar situations. Everything else about our stay was excellent.
