Very nice restaurants close!! The riverwalk is nice, saw police on mopeds all the time, that is very reassuring!! The exercise room is nice and clean, temp was almost 80 and humid in there, thermostat was locked!! UGH The people are very nice and helpful!! Breakfast was good, ALWAYS the same thing and there for a week???? Really They ran out of breakfast items fast, need to be on that better??!!

I usually have nothing but nice things to say when I stay at the Hyatt Place, but I was disappointed with the service at this one. I stayed at a different Hyatt Place the previous night, but due to them not having availability for Saturday night, I had to switch hotels. I called this hotel to ask if they would happen to accommodate early check-in. They could not, which of course is within their right. I then asked if my room would be ready by check-in and the person on the phone assured me it would be. I get to the hotel at 4:30 and Rebeckah rudely told me my room was not ready and I needed to wait. She stated they were overbooked and I’m the only one with a queen bed so I will have to wait a bit longer. She was unapologetic and rude and I’ve honestly never been spoken to like that by a Hyatt Place employee especially when check in was at 3 and I arrived 90 mins past check in time to not have a room yet assigned to me. For my inconvenience, I was given a free glass of beer. I also left the hotel and when I came back I heard her complaining to another employee about another guest being upset their room was also not ready. “These people are so entitled,” I overheard her saying. The room was nice enough, but because of the customer service and also there not being a pool, I don’t think I will stay at this particular Hyatt Place again.

Air conditioning ok. Shower water cold, impossible to make it hot unless waiting 45 min. Printer in the business centre was jammed I asked on 3 different occasions to different receptionist to fix it but no one cared to do. Breakfast was very low standard and charged $11. It was not worth it even $5. They charged me for a dinner at the bar for $48 which I never had, I mentioned it to the receptionist and there was nothing she could do, unless a manager was there. The manager, of course, was not there. I am still disputing the $48 as they still haven't reimbursed me

Great location right on the water. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome, as was the spur of the moment bike ride on the riverfront with the complimentary bike from the lobby. The DE Children's Museum was across the parking lot and fantastic! I would definitely stay there again.

Offers a bar and lounge, indoor and outdoor seating, and a business center. Women working front desk were friendly and made an early check-in available without delay. The rooms were cleaned and stocked, thought it was a little odd the room didn’t include a microwave or the fridge didn’t have a freezer section. The free breakfast was good and the selections differ per day which was cool. Plenty of seating in the lobbies and eatery. Bar on site, unexpected bonus. Patio was spacious, better enjoyed in the summer. And the location on the riverfront was spectacular. Would stay here again

Room was clean, staff was outstanding. Helpful, cheerful and professional. Parking was ample, even when the hotel appeared to be crowded. Bar was well stocked and although I didn’t eat there, many people were eating and the aroma was tempting!

There were burns of some sort on the carpet and what appeared to be blood on the carpet and also smeared on the door frame between sitting area and the bathroom. The sound from a/c fan was deafening. I thought a train was headed toward the room .

The price for this hotel is too high for a very average facility. We booked a 2 queen bed room and none were available at check in time. We were given a king with pull out couch. The bed in pull out couch was very uncomfortable even for a child. Bath room door was broken and the air conditioner was very loud. Good food and drink nearby.

We liked the HVAC for the room was easy to use. Choice of window blinds for sleeping. Room furniture was comfortable. Only problem was tv placement, tv should either be in the bedroom or in the living room, the way it is laid out was not comfortable to watch from either location.

We spent one night at the property and were happily surprised at the size and quality of our room. We also enjoyed the ability to walk along the riverfront and the selection of restaurants nearby! We will stay again when we need a room in Wilmington.

I didn’t like the older lady who worked the evening shift. The blonde Caucasian. She was very rude low key racist. Phony very nasty when I asked a question. She needs customer service training. But overall good hotel would stay again.

It was in a great location with the walkable riverfront. There were several restaurants within walking distance. The room was spacious and clean. I gave the staff/service only 3 stars because on Saturday(1st full day there), we asked the housekeeper on the way out the door to refill the soap in the shower and it wasn't done. We also asked the front desk staff to have someone unlock the safe because it wasn't. That evening on the way out to dinner, we asked the front desk again to unlock the safe, refill the soap, the coffee, and that we also found that the phone in the room wasn't working when we tried to call down to them. They apologized, told us we would get free breakfast the next morning. When we got back in to our room that night, nothing was done. We just gave up as we were leaving the next morning. Didn't even stay for the free breakfast.

The Hyatt will be our hotel of choice from now on for visiting family in the Wilmington area. Great service, clean well appointed rooms, and good location. The riverwalk was great even in the winter (Holiday lights the entire walk).

Hotels.com suck. Booked a room through Hotels.com on the morning of 4/2. Reservation was confirmed receipt was sent and reservation # 72062206366969. Got to Hyatt hotel in Wilmington DE around 5 PM and they did. Not have my name in the system. Room was clean, staff was outstanding. Helpful, cheerful and professional. Parking was ample, even when the hotel appeared to be crowded. Bar was well stocked and although I didn’t eat there, many people were eating and the aroma was tempting!

very easy to get to, just off the highway. In a nice area along the river with an adjacent pathway for bike riding or jogging. Also surrounded by restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and clean and we had a nice view of the river. Plenty of free parking in the parking lot. It is adjacent to a seafood restaurant.

The room was really clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The bartender in the lobby bar was super friendly and gave recommendations for the area. The front desk people were OK - some more friendly than others. The breakfast was just OK and not really worth $11 but it was convenient. We had a short but enjoyable stay. Check in was quick and easy and friendly. We made a short walk along the river for dinner and another short walk to the stadium and enjoyed a ballgame. Hotel in a great location and the staff always welcoming. Room was spacious and comfortable. So nice to have a morning walk along river before check out. Breakfast had plenty of options and the area was well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice restaurants close!! The riverwalk is nice, saw police on mopeds all the time, that is very reassuring!! The exercise room is nice and clean, temp was almost 80 and humid in there, thermostat was locked!! UGH The people are very nice and helpful!! Breakfast was good, ALWAYS the same thing and there for a week???? Really They ran out of breakfast items fast, need to be on that better??!!

The front desk service was professional and friendly. The breakfast service was very disappointing. We arrive around 8:20am. Much of the food (fruit, bread, oatmeal, etc)was already gone. Several guest were standing around waiting to see if more food was coming out. The employee was overwhelmed with the guest questions and her responses were short and kurt. We left and went out for breakfast.

The hotel feels new because it is clean, well equipped and seems well cared for. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking, near a cinema and the Chase Center. A few restaurants nearby, but the hotel also has a restaurant. The breakfast is good, better than I've seen for awhile.

The hotel was busy and bustling from a wedding happening that night, but I was still greeted kindly. The room was comfortable and clean. The noise was minimal. The river view was lovely. All in all my only complaint was how few meat/baked goods choices you got for breakfast. It felt like I was paying for the same breakfast that most hotel chains give you for free.

The price is higher than all other hotels around, but, our bathroom commos seat broken on one side, bathroom fan wasn't working, refrigerator was not cooling, they replaced it. The sliding door of bathroom was very hard to lock. Breakfast don't have any meat other than pork products. But breakfast had plenty other choice. Daily cleaning crews didn't show up a couple days, and some days show up when we are still in the room.
