Excellent stay, wonderful location, amazing breakfast on rooftop right under the Parthenon. Stairs were fine for me but if you are a bit wobbly on steep stairs without handrails, take that into account, for me it was the flavor of Greece, but you would not find this condition in the US.

Excellent location. Room was comfortable with a very good bathroom. Shower was excellent. Roof top patio has a great view of the Acropolis. There is no elevator and the stairs to the rooftop could be difficult if you have mobility issues.

Hotel location is superb. Like many structures in Athens this hotel is older but reasonably updated. As noted in other reviews, the staff is friendly and competent and the breakfast on the rooftop with the Parthenon in background is quaint. Importantly, this property is NOT recommended for anyone with ambulatory issues. There are multiple stairs to rooms and breakfast, including a spiral staircase with narrow steps and low headroom to the breakfast rooftop.

This boutique hotel is located in a prime area, but it is not prepared for winter and guests with mobility issues. I moved in at the end of February for 3 days, when the weather is still cold. They have a rooftop for breakfast but no gas heater. I can have the breakfast in my room but the small table is broken. Additionally, they use a spiral staircase to access the roof. If you have trouble walking, you're in trouble. On the other hand, the staff is good.

It was well situated, very near the Acropolis, but there was no elevator, steps were narrow and old. We arrived with no code to get in and were on the street with our bags asking nearby shopkeepers if they had a phone contact for the owner.It took a while, but we got in. A/C worked well but bed had a well in it (probably ok for one person) and blankets were non existent. They only had a decorative open lace covering on the bed and sheets It which was made for a chilly night. We were out by 6am so we didn't sample breakfast. Located in the midst of things which is great, but its very noisy on the street at night. Apparently they sent a code by email at some point, but we couldn't access the email bc we needed to get into the room to access wifi. Cleaning/serving folks arrived in hall at 5am and were noisy which robbed us of the little sleep we got.

You can't beat the rooftop view and location with this lovely boutique hotel. Eat your breakfast on the rooftop while looking at the Parthenon to start your day. The entry to the Acropolis is about 50 feet away and the A2 stop fir the Hop On Hop Off red bus is 1 block away. We also had supper at the Byron across the street with an Acropolis view to die for. Lots of restos and shops all literally outside the door. Rooms are small and no elevator in the building. Very narrow stairwell especially to the rooftop. Definitely not recommended for anyone with mobility issues.

The staff was so kind and accommodating, and the location was incredible. The rooms were very clean as well. The air conditioning went out a few times which led to some uncomfortable sleeping nights, since only some of the windows would open. The rooftop is very picturesque.

Magda was a wonderful host but unfortunately does not make up for a run down boutique hotel. Our bathroom was covered in mold and the place smelled very musty. The location, however, was spectacular. Breakfast was served up on a scorching hot rooftop with friendly service and poor food. The hard boiled eggs were cold, the vegetables old and soggy.

The acropolis entrance is steps away from the hotel. It is central to many sights which made it convenient to stop back into our room for a break from the heat and to freshen up. Lot’s of restaurant choices and shopping. Room was nice, however there was a strong sewer smell coming from the bathroom when we first arrived. I think it comes from the shower drain. Also, on the last day, the maid gave us wet towels (very damp) which were all folded and placed on the beds. They obviously had not been dried long enough. Not sanitary practice as towels need to be dried on high heat to kill germs/parasites like scabies. I used my beach towel I bought in Italy as it was late at night when we noticed the wet towels. Breakfast is up on the roof, standard fare, coffee was cold every morning.

Veldig sentralt! Hotellet ligger rett ved inngangen til Akropolis og i Pláka, men allikevel ligger det rolig og stille til. Lokasjonen er topp! Men stedet er veldig slitt. Rengjøringen var også under gjennomsnittet.

Steps from the entrance to the Acropolis and its museum. Lots of dining options, shopping. Very clean. No elevator… all rooms up one flight only. Staff very helpful. I thought it might be a bit noisy, but it really wasn’t.

Very cute. Delicious breakfast with a fabulous rooftop view. It is very much in the heart of all the shipping, dining, and tourist attractions. So it is a very busy area. And while it’s loud and you can hear the noise at night. It didn’t destroy our ability to get some sleep. And things seemed to go quiet after 1am.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kyria Boutique House in March. Our apartment was spacious and lovely, and the breakfast on the terrace (with the Acropolis in full view) was terrific. The staff members were friendly and helpful, and check-in was easy. The location cannot be beat. We look forward to returning!

The room is small and crowded and that of a 3 star hotel. The mattress is old and without any spine left. The breakfast is quite awful and the front desk is unresponsive. No one on duty at the front desk on weekends and after 5pm and before 9am on week days. No elevator. The location is spectacular, though, just 150 meters from the Acropolis’s entrance.

Two couples shared the small but very private courtyard accessed through a separate door. Both units had separate good-sized "living rooms" and large king-sized bedrooms with comfortable beds. The upstairs suite was lovely with a huge tub and new fixtures in the bath. The downstairs suite is in need of some work. Both rooms had lovely boutique features such as a drinks cabinet with limoncello and a few lovely old pieces like a dressing table. Breakfast was on the roof and was good. There were some pots of flowers and the same amount of empty planters. A few petunias or geraniums would've turned these spaces into something truly spectacular. However, if it's location that's important, this couldn't be better.

Location was perfect. Size was a bit small but again I am an American. Had a cool rooftop patio. 1 minute walk to acropolis ticket gate, 3 minute walk to Acropolis museum. In the heart of Plaka neighborhood and 15 minute walk to Monastiraki neighborhood. Only con is a lot of steep stairs.

First, this property is right in the heart of Plaka and right outside the Acropolis. The location is great but the street noise can be loud. Let's be very clear, though: this is a 2-3 star property at best. We were only in Athens for two nights, so we made it work, but it's a very old and run-down property. The breakfast was lackluster, so we skipped it. The staff was lovely and kind, which was the property's best part. I'm not writing a beware review, but I am saying this is a 2-3 star property, so know what you are walking into in advance.

The staff were absolutely lovely I got an early check in everything was perfect. Magda was very helpful and the chef was gorgeous, made delicious food and the cleaner always made sure the room was stocked with towels. The location is perfect I would stay here again I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again to the team❤️.

The stay was good until at the very end the front desk lady offered to book a taxi for me and said it will be $45 euros and when I got to my destination (Rafina port) the taxi said that the lady told him to change me $60 euros which is why I have low score for this hotel. I don’t like dishonest service.

The location is outstanding! The hotel is within walking distance of the Acropolis and it’s museum as well as other archeological sites. It is located on the edge of the very charming old district known as the Plaka. Numerous excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance. It is fun to walk around and explore the lively narrow streets. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful for whatever we needed. The room was modest but clean and offered all the amenities we needed.

It was well situated, very near the Acropolis, but there was no elevator, steps were narrow and old. We arrived with no code to get in and were on the street with our bags asking nearby shopkeepers if they had a phone contact for the owner.It took a while, but we got in. A/C worked well but bed had a well in it (probably ok for one person) and blankets were non existent. They only had a decorative open lace covering on the bed and sheets It which was made for a chilly night. We were out by 6am so we didn't sample breakfast. Located in the midst of things which is great, but its very noisy on the street at night. Apparently they sent a code by email at some point, but we couldn't access the email bc we needed to get into the room to access wifi. Cleaning/serving folks arrived in hall at 5am and were noisy which robbed us of the little sleep we got.

This hotel is literally located in the best spot. You can’t get a better location than this. The views from this hotel are also incredible (check for yourself below). As for the room and staff, rooms are very clean and modern and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommended!

We had the absolute best time. The location could not have been better. Check in was easy. The most special part was Angela. She greeted us every morning for breakfast on the rooftop with a smile and delicious food. She is a special edition to a fantastic boutique house. Thanks for a great experience!

First, this property is right in the heart of Plaka and right outside the Acropolis. The location is great but the street noise can be loud. Let's be very clear, though: this is a 2-3 star property at best. We were only in Athens for two nights, so we made it work, but it's a very old and run-down property. The breakfast was lackluster, so we skipped it. The staff was lovely and kind, which was the property's best part. The staff were lovely, but the hotel was filthy- not what I would expect from a 5 star. I actually don’t believe this is a 5 star hotel. Although the staff were lovely, the breakfast was substandard. One day there was even mould on the yoghurt being served. Also, the bread was left out for hours and so it was always stale

Great view from rooftop. Great location in the heart of the action. Totally modern bathroom and excellent AC/heat. Great variety for breakfast, but seemed reheated/reused from previous day. Room windows in need of serious repair. Stairs to rooftop are semi-dangerous.

Everything about our stay was perfect. For visiting the acropolis etc, this was the perfect location - less than 5 min walk. The breakfast was amazing, local foods, served over a long time slot (7 -10) and views of the acropolis. Room was cleaned and fresh towels provided everyday. There was also a free safe in our room. Bed was very comfortable. Welcome drink and sweets were enjoyed. Balcony was small, but nice to sit and people watch. I think there were only 5 rooms, so it was all very friendly. Checkin easy is you follow the information that was given well in advance. Communication was good. Room and hotel accessed via a code. We could leave our luggage after our checkout which was very useful. Thank-you to the lovely ladies that owned/looked after this hotel.

This boutique hotel is located in a prime area, but it is not prepared for winter and guests with mobility issues. I moved in at the end of February for 3 days, when the weather is still cold. They have a rooftop for breakfast but no gas heater. I can have the breakfast in my room but the small table is broken. Additionally, they use a spiral staircase to access the roof. If you have trouble walking, you're in trouble. On the other hand, the staff is good.

Seriously could not ask for more. Comfortable room, great shower. The views of the Acropolis from the roof were incredible. Angela’s breakfast was amazing too - so much food and she made everything herself. Highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are always clean and beautiful. All of them are different. The only thing is if you cannot do stairs, you need to request the only room they have on first floor enough time ahead. They stuff is really good at answering your questions. All things are done online. Breakfast is wonderful done by this beautiful lady whose name is Angela, she is in the roof where they have a beautiful patio bistro where you have your breakfast and you can enjoy the view of all the park
