AC Hotel Houston Downtown

Everything was great except the valet said they were available 24/7 .. we left got awhile came back and the valet was gone and the only thing the security guard could say was well don’t park anywhere you’ll be towed and just walked off. We weren’t from there had no idea where to go snd it was 2:30 in the morning

Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel clean. Just a bummer no clock or microwave in room and no pool.

Super friendly staff, awesome location, walking distance to restaurants and bars. Onsite restaurant/bar is a huge plus. No attached parking but there are lots close by.

Property advertised that they have parking on site that was limited and they had a pool in the Jacuzzi. That was not true. It was very disappointing to find out these things. Also, the front desk clerk didn't inform us that I key cards was shut down before 11 o'clock and lock us out our room. The overall experience was OK, but it could've been better.

Valet service needs work on

Solid choice when traveling for business. Clean and reliable. Starbucks in the hotel. Close to business venues.

The location and amenities in the hotel were great. Parking was not easy, and valet was expensive.

Gym facilities could be upgraded

The hotel was fine and location was great but whoever handles the valet parking was terrible. They make you download an app and then sent messages saying our parking was expired. Then, they charged us morenthan what the hotel advertised as the parking fee. The hotel took no responsibility for the parking and did not help with issues.

We came for a couple of days of work and booked AC as it is our go to hotel. This property has much smaller rooms than other locations which is not so bad but the room was not properly cleaned. A curtain was hangin tore from a corner, there was hair and dust on the bed, and the sheets are paper thin and old. Front desk responded promptly and brought us clean bedding. Assistant manager personally apologized and they brought us an amenity package with snacks to the room. We appreciate the response to the issue. Breakfast runs until 11 and consists of fruit, cheese, cold cuts as well as several a la carte items. The also have several coffee offerings during breakfast. Another thing to keep in mind is the noise level day AND night. We were on a high floor and were constantly awaken by sirens, horn honking and noise from the street at random times in the middle of the night. They could use some noise canceling curtains. They have a noise machine as well as ear plugs on the room so you know it’s noisy. There’s a good hall across the street and several dining options around. Parking is an issue in general but the hotel offers valet parking for $50 a night which seems a bit high but it’s the going rate around the area. it has a small exercise room, free to use laundry room consisting of a washer and dryer, and a roomy lobby. I wish the room had been ready and clean upon arrival. Overall a 6/10.

I would not recommend this hotel and will endeavor to stay elsewhere when I next visit Houston for business. The location is convenient but across from the train with lots of activity happening outside at night. Its not very quiet. The walls are thin, you can hear conversations in the hall well and doors slamming. There is no natural light (at least in my room). The floors weren't vacuumed. There was no place to put my suitcase, so I put in on the table and then had no place to work. The staff was friendly but unhelpful. Many things were fine, I could live with them but nothing was great or particularly good for a business trip.

The hotel is beautiful, a few things housekeeping missed like mopping the room floor, there was something on the table near the window and the chilled cups had a hair inside the glass. Looks like it was wiped with a cloth and not cleaned. I always bring my own cleaning supplies so I just took care of the minor things myself. Few homeless people lying in corners along the hotels outside. The staff was super nice at the desk over would stay again.

I usually never write reviews for hotels, but this specific hotel was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the fact that the only way you could access a floor was if your room was on that floor, which is very safe. The room was exceptionally clean and beautiful. The breakfast was delicious; I just wished they had more hot options. This was one of my best hotel experiences, and you can tell the hotel is well-kept and well-maintained.

my stay at the AC was great! room was very very veryyy clean. you can opt for daily housekeeping at no extra charge which is a plus. all staff members that i interacted with were nice. i have nothing bad to say about my stay.

The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is very secure as well.

The room was nicely designed and clean, but the mattress was saggy and there was so much city noise and such a lack of insulation that they provide a sound machine and earplugs.

Stayed in a room next to a train station. Train horns were constantly making noise every 10 minutes 24/7

We checked in early and front desk said there was a room available but only on 2nd floor. She asked if that was okay, we aren't picky people. However my husband did say "is it louder?" She said it's right above us on this counter but no. Room was perfect, comfy bed, nice ammentiest, etc. LOUD is an understatment, the Metro train was right outside our window and runs continously. I wish she'd been more honest on the noise issue. Will make sure I tell my travel cleints this when visiting or pick a different room. Kind of frustrating since i'm a valued Marriott rewards memeber. I was worried about the noise level after reading the reviews but we had no problems! We were on the top floor, we had a great view. The room was clean and comfy. I brought a sound machine just in case, but we didn’t hear any street noise. Check in was quick and easy and the valet guys were super nice and professional. It took less than 10 minutes to get our car. I think the best part about the hotel is the location. There were lots of bar and restaurants within walking distance. We came for an Astros game and we were close enough to walk to the stadium. It was all around just what we were looking for. There of course were homeless people on the streets, but honestly we are used to it where we live. I think you can expect that in most cities, especially if you choose a hotel right downtown. Not complaints on the property. We would definitely stay here again!

Only thing I didn’t like was the bed other than that everything was great

It was so loud ! The train runs late so it kept me up . Also the other guest were loud it sounded like they were in the room .

Our stay was excellent! The beds and shower were awesome - best of any hotel we've seen in years.

Our room was as described. Had everything we needed. Very clean property! Only downfalls were the noise level outside (we were on floor 2 in a corner room and the windows aren’t very soundproof from the tram on two sides for pretty much the entire night. Sounded like bad thunder very often. Ear plugs were provided but not used to sleeping with them) and the $18/person, all you can eat, European style breakfast buffet (they couldn’t keep the food stocked fast enough and they weren’t necessarily packed with people) Would stay again if we could be guaranteed a higher floor.

I have zero complaints! The staff was super welcoming and I loved the complimentary glass of wine! This hotel is super modern and everything I would hope for in a hotel. I will DEFINITELY be back.

The location, staff, and property were all excellent. I was accidentally overcharged for one extra day of valet parking, but that small issue didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed my stay or the wonderful service from the staff.

I had such a great experience during my stay, and I have to give a special shoutout to Tracy at the front desk! She was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and made check-in so smooth and easy. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests—she made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. Her warmth and professionalism didn’t go unnoticed, and I truly hope her team knows how much of a gem she is. Thank you, Tracy! 💖

The staff at the reception was rude either on the phone they was so disrespectful and didn’t hear to my request and hang up on me and in person the receptionist was lazy and not professional we asked her if we paid for breakfast she was too lazy to recheck on our reservation just says no and the next morning when we went to pay for breakfast they told us by another receptionist that we already paid for it. The room was clean tho. But the staff terrible!

Everyone from the front desk to the valet was fantastic!

We arrived right after check in time at 3pm and the front desk staff were dealing with multiple guests that were being high maintenance and it seemed that there was only one person that was trying to manage both situations. We waited in line for 20 minutes without any acknowledgment while a chaotic situation unfolded while guests were piled up waiting to get their turn to be helped. To be fair the gentleman was trying to satisfy both guests that were being difficult and the other staff did not seem to know how to help. What appeared to be a manager I assume came up and still no acknowledgment of the guests she just told the other associate that what to do and bailed without helping resolve anything. I’m a very understanding person especially when it’s clear other guests were being a bit unreasonable I feel for the guy but he should have had support with the situation. Really none of my business. Once the drama cleared it took only minutes to check me in and I can be on my own from here. The hotel condition was satisfactory. Room was small but comfortable w cold a/c. We did not spend much time in the room and the time we did everything was good. The young lady that checked us out in the A.M. was very polite and friendly so that kinda made up for the check in drama. Parking is 50$ tip if your a decent human which is absolutely ridiculous but not much other options at any property downtown that I know of. So paid it and moved on. I’d pick another property next time.

Came for a baseball game. Was walking distance to the stadium. Great location.

We stayed in this hotel to see the Copa Oro final and is located at the heart of downtown with lots of options for dining within walking distance which may our stay fabulous.

Hotel was clean, linens and beds comfortable. Bathroom was impeccable. Room wasn't big, but was sufficient for a Houston day trip thay required a night in town. Did all the dining at the Montrose area, which required a car, valet is at 45/ nt. Tries to walk around area outside but decides against it after walking around the block, lots of homelessness and some require mental help. Starbucks in the building.

Great property if you want to be in walking distance of some of the great pubs and restaurants of downtoen Houston.

The hotel was 8 minutes from the baseball stadium. Also we were able to walk after dinner to have dessert at the markeplatz.

Great location downtown. Easy to get too and has valet parking out front which makes it easy to get bags to hotel. Hotel is on the LRT line. Hotel is modern, friendly staff and would stay here again. Rooms were on the smaller side but still comfortable. Good bars and restaurants near by walking distance to the aquarium and arts district. Area felt safe to walk around. Good price for downtown location and would recommend this hotel. We found valet parking was expensive so used a parking APP to find cheaper parking we found parking fof $14 per night 1 block from hotel. Sport hero is the website to find cheaper downtown parking

I loved this hotel . I’ll only stay here if I’m Downtown Houston at this point. There’s a lot of homeless people everywhere outside though . Preference .

Great location literally steps from the red line train. And very walkable to the Astros ballpark.

This is a great property. It is very convenient to take in an Astros game at Minute Maid Park, and then spend a night bar hopping, or enjoying the downtown restaurants. The facility was very clean, the rooms and beds were extremely comfortable, and we had a great time. I don't recommend the breakfast. It was more like a charcuterie board meal rather than an actual breakfast.

It was a great stay! A bit more noisy than expected but still good. Casey checked us in and provided wonderful service and made some many great suggestions. Bar tender Nico was amazing as well. We will be back! Thanks

It was a great location, really nice staff and affordable for all of the cool amenities — and there’s a Starbucks in the lobby!

Great property. Everything was clean. Service in bar/restaurant wasn’t the best, but it was the man’s first time ever working in the bar and he was alone. The meatballs were still frozen on the inside and they forgot our rice balls. By the time they brought them out, we had to leave to get to our scheduled show. Otherwise, everything went well.
