My last experience with Red Roof Inn was in New Jersey 40 years ago. It was good. I came to North Houston due to a death in the family. I'm 73 and had to haul my bags up an outside stairwell with no elevator. A packet of Kleenex was the only amenity in the bathroom. The ice machine was outside downstairs - and I arrived after dark. But was the worst, the attendant photocopied my drivers' license. That, along with my credit card, puts me a risk for identity theft. When I asked what they did with the license copies after payments were secured. He just kept saying what if someone else called in and claimed I posed as them. He could SEE I matched my ID. I moved to the Hyatt the next night. Still want the photo copy of my ID destroyed.

This was my second time staying here. My room was spacious and clean, check-in was easy. The bathtub was great with nice, hot water. The parking lot was really crowded, but I guess that just means they are popular -- and for good reason. My mattress wasn't very comfortable and felt a little cheap, unfortunately, but everything else was good.

the front desk staff was rude and demanding. they called me at 1:15p demanding that i come and check in early so they could charge me (check in isn’t until 3). i arrived at the motel and there was food trash all over the parking lot. the vending and ice machines did not function properly. just felt like a very low class motel.

Been to a lot of red roofs since we have a little dog. This is by far in the top 3. Extremely clean and well maintained. No issues in the room. Clean sheets, good condition bed, no problems with tv, shower, sink, tolit. Updated lights in ceiling. Usb outlets next to bedsides. Not a single light i saw outside was out... Well lit at night and safe parking. Top quality all the way around

This property really is as clean as many reviews stated. The bed is SO comfortable, the room is quiet, and the shower has good water pressure. Overall, I had wonderful nights of sleep here and was able to get my work done. "BYOC" - if you're booking a room with a kitchenette, be sure to bring your own cookware/utensils/dishes. I was disappointed to find that the very spacious kitchenette is only equipped with a fridge, microwave and sink. It's the first time I've booked a room with a kitchenette (in similar price range) that does not come with any cookware. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay. It's one of the few places where your pet family stays for free. And what's even more amazing is that it's cleaner than many places that charge you tons for pet fee. Highly recommended!

Horrible hotel. I have no clue how they have a positive rating. The room was filthy. There was a condom wrapper under the bed. Old food in the fridge and the ac leaked water on the floor. The managers solution was to give us extra towels. Avoid at all costs. Even for a cheap hotel it was a poor experience

You get what you pay for. The check in was a fail due to the manager not being there; I was asked to come back in ‘about 40 minutes’. The room reeked of some sort of cleaner or freshener, so much so that my luggage smelled of it when I left. It’s a non smoking hotel however many ppl were smoking right outside their doors so it smelled of smoke anyway. Never again.

Very clean rooms. I stayed here about 6 nights. Had extended my stay once and then left and came back for a 6th night. Both rooms were very clean. Only complaint was TV didn’t work in the second room when I came back for the night but that was ok.

They canceled my reservation and I still have not been returned the money. The man at the front desk was extremely rude. I wasn’t even allowed to wait to see if they would have a room available. While I was in there another guy was in there saying that they kept changing his rate and charging extra for the extra person in his room.

The front desk person that night was absolutely horrible and extremely disrespectful to me and the rep at hotel.com When I called to confirm the reservation the front desk person whose name is Mike kept picking up the phone and hanging up in my face. When he finally said hello I asked him why he was hanging up and he said because I kept calling bothering him and would not stop calling. Then he told me to stop calling bothering him because he was trying to get his computer back up. He told the Hotel.Com rep the same thing. He ought to be fired and never allow to work at a hotel front desk again. Who does that?

This is a great hotel, especially when traveling with pets! It's very clean, has a nice fridge and microwave, good size rooms and even has soap and shampoo dispensers. I liked it so much I stayed here again on the way back. If you're looking for an inexpensive hotel in a safe neighborhood, I highly recommend it! I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Tomball.
