12 Keys Athens Apartments

We very much enjoyed our three night stay at 12 Keys… Giannis was a warm and helpful manager that gave recommendations and helped make us feel very much at home. We rented a superior unit which had good cooking facilities, plenty of hot water, a clothes washing machine, and good Wi-Fi. Location is a short walk to the acropolis. The area felt very safe.

The property was centrally located with access to restaurants and metro line. The property manager was very accommodating with our questions and providing directions. The only negative feedback is that we were not allowed rooftop access, which is pictured in the property description. That apt was rented out long term

The apt had a washing machine/dryer with soap provided.

Good stay. Manager very helpful. Washer and dryer. Although eu dryers arent up to usa standards. Bed is firm.

Lovely apartment. We stayed in the grand apartment (d12). Loads of space, modern and had everything we needed. Outdoor space is amazing with rooftop view of the Acropolis and 3 other areas leading from different areas of apartment. Location within a few minutes walk of lots of bars and Hadrians arch. Reception very helpful and Giannis provided lots of info and places to eat, drink etc.

Excellent location, close to most of the attractions in Athens. Very clean building and a beautiful view of Acropolis from the top terrace. Not the same good things to be said about Expedia which let us down and almost stranded without housing after arriving to Athens. The worst possible customer service experience and support on Expedia’s side. We realize they care only of their profit and let us down in relation to getting in touch with the property and confirming our stay. At one point we thought that we will need to find a different place to stay after arriving to Athens. The 12 Key property in Athens management did what Expedia didn’t, contacted us and made sure that everything will be as expected. I would advise anyone who is planning to use Expedia, to think twice before booking with them. Personally I will avoid using Expedia’s services in the future.

Apartment was perfect great location, Giannas was very helpful with tips on local bars, restaurants and transport. Good aircon for bedroom and lounge area. Liked no keys all access on codes

Communication with Giannis for late check-in was very clear, with even a short video of how to use the key code and info about a 24-hr market nearby. Anastasia went above and beyond to find us a taxi to the port on Election Day, which was impossible using a rider share app that day. We made use of the kitchen (panini press & electric kettle), provided plates/cups, and washing machine. Location was great, about a 15-minute walk or 5-min taxi to the Acropolis and several restaurants nearby.

This place was great… it was our first time in Greece and loved how close we were to the markets, restaurants etc… the property was modern and very clean.. I’m not sure how safe the neighborhood was cause it seemed very sketch but we felt safe inside the apartment.. the elevator was like a closet with a swinging door, I took the stairs as my claustrophobia would have sent my into an instant panic attack.. yannis was really awesome and we chatted with him quite a bit, even about his awesome musical tastes.. I definitely recommend staying here

Both were outstanding — spotless/clean, air conditioning worked perfectly, plenty of space for all things, refrigerators were spotless, electric stove was in excellent working condition (making cooking breakfast “at home” very convenient), and the in-suite washing machine was a bonus (super helpful so we didn’t have to find a laundry service). ————— SERVICE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Giannis and Anastasia were incredibly helpful before and during our trip. We arrived after hours due to extreme flight delays; arriving after midnight. We struggled with some functionality of the apartment door entry (user error, not theirs), but they responded immediately to our calls in a very pleasant and helpful manner - even in the middle of night. During the day, there’s onsite staff. ————— LOCATION ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 12 Keys is within 10 to 15 minutes of many sites and safe to walk. Huge plus to save on € taxis. Side note - being a congested city, taxi rides may take just as long. It’s close to a 24-hour market. There’s so many benefits of this location. ————— NOISE ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The city can be loud. As a very little sleeper, I travel with earplugs. With windows closed and earplugs, I had no issues. ————— EXTERIOR ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Independent apartment’s aren’t likely to have traditional hotel-like exteriors/entries. 12 Keys exterior is not impressive. It’s just the way it is. The interior, service, and location are what’s important. ————— OVERALL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hosts are very communicative about check-in time for late arrivals. The building was remodeled and very nice and clean. Our room was first floor near reception so it was a little noisy in the mornings but it had an archaeological site on display through the floor! Very unique indeed. Room was perfect— clean, good kitchen and space to put travel items away. Highly recommend!

This place is few blocks away from Acropolis and at a reasonable price. The apartment was very clean. We had a customer service request in the middle of the night. When we sent a WhatsApp message at that hour, they responded immediately addressing our need. They sent us the details about the nearby restaurants and supermarkets.

Property is well maintained and clean. The host is always available, pleasant and easy to communicate with, and helpful. The area is quiet. The location is convenient with a short 10 min walk to Acropolis itself, the associated metro station, and the areas where a lot of different tours originate. In case walking is unpleasant (due to 95 degrees F for example during our trip), air conditioned tram will take you to Syntagma square in 2 stops. The tram stop is just around the corner. A closest supermarket is 7 min away, walking. Keep in mind, most of the stores are closed Sundays.

The hosts were very friendly and nice. We were greeted and felt very welcomed. The housekeeper was also very kind. The apartment was cleaned spotless, and everything we needed was provided. The apartment itself was just lovely. Had everything we needed, and exceeded our expectations. If we ever came to Athens again, I would come here.

We were a family of three and we stayed at this place for 8 nights. It was a great choice because we could walk to the Acropolis area in less than 10 minutes. There are many good supermarkets and restaurants in the area. Also, the neighbourhood is quiet. The managers of the property contacted before our arrival to give us instructions and once we arrived, they gave us great recommendations about restaurants and bars. The property is modern, clean and the kitchen is well equipped. We were very happy with this place.

The apartment was pretty clean (just a minor suggestion - the grout on the ground & bathroom need some cleaning but the rest of the apt is clean). Staff is very friendly & super helpful! Place is walking distance to acropolis.

The apartment was extremely clean and housekeeping went in daily to freshen up. Giannis was extremely helpful in recommending restaurants, markets, and even booked tours for us. He even went out of his was each to greet and check if we needed anything. Great overall location to all the important sightseeing events

I cannot say enough great things about the 12 Keys. This was my first time in Athens and I was a solo traveler. I did a lot of research before booking, and this place was perfect for my 10 days exploring the city. It's within a 10-minute walk of the Acropolis metro & museum. It's close to a bunch of major historical sites, including the Parthenon, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Roman Agora, the Ancient Athens Agoro, Socrates Prison, the National Garden and more. Its only 15 minute walk to Plaka, a trendy neighbourhood with fabulous shopping and eateries. The 12 Keys itself is a safe, secure building with the best staff ever. Gianos and Anastasia provided great recommendations, were extremely helpful, and always available by WhatsApp. Rooms were cleaned daily and exactly as advertised. I stayed in the senior suite, with a full kitchen, bedroom, and living area. Shower was great. There was a large balcony & A/C, which is essential in this heat! They also provided affordable airport transfers, which was better than the taxis. The driver even picked me up at the airport holding a sign with my name! The amazing staff even printed out a document I needed for work, free of charge. When Netflix wasnt working on my TV, Gianos gave me a bottle of wine. The hospitality is phenomenal. It's also very quiet here, which is nice after a long day exploring the city. 12 Keys is perfect for long term stays,.

Værelse i stueplan, som let fornemmes som et kælderværelse. Ikke det bedste valg, men det eneste ledige. Personalet var meget hjælpsomme og værelset var rent og pænt - og beliggenheden var god.

Apartment is on a busy street which is a surprise as it’s one way and looks like a side street. That made our ground floor apartment less appealing. So we took advantage of the good location otherwise and got out a lot.

Staff was super helpful. We stayed over the weekend in the first floor and disco close by was very noisy until 5 am May bother light sleeper

The apartments are spacious and comfortable, with a sitting room and a kitchen. It’s close to Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis. Transportation to the city is also easy as there is metro station within walking distance. The staff members are helpful, giving us all the help and information we feed. Good value for miner as well.

I wish they had microwave as part of the kitchen.

Spacious and clean room centrally located in Athens. Staff was great and made it easy to communicate with others. Rooms could use a little sound proofing but noise was not an issue for the most part. Highly recommend!

Stay was very comfortable. Gianne was fantastic very helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. Our luggage was lost Gianne helped contact the local company with instructions for delivery. Answered any question we had and was fun to talk to. We would recommend this place and stay there if we return to Athens.

12 Keys Athens Apartments came up as an Expedia recommended place to stay due to all the positive comments and my stay is another positive experience, Their larger apartment was very comfortable for a family of 5 people. Location is less than a 10 minute walk from closest subway station. Area is safe to walk at any time of day and night. Grocery stores and restaurants in walking distance from anywhere between 5 minutes to 20 minutes. Recommend to park your car and walk and/or public transportation. Parking garages near by. The host, Yiannis, was awesome. Yiannis took the time to answer all of our questions. He had recommendations for restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, etc. We had a situation that we needed to speak to Yiannis after reception hours and he answered quickly with the solution. Exceed my expectations! 12Keys is like home away from home. Very Clean! The apartment assistants; Mr Giannis & Ms Anastasia were hospitable, friendly & helpful. Mr Giannis provided much information needed exploring the city of Athens, airport service, etc.. He made our trip pleasantly delightful.

We had an amazing 10 day stay at 12 keys. The location is close, walking distance to the Acropolis, dinning, shopping and any transportation you may need to explore outside of that area. Anastasia and Giannis were extremely helpful with eating suggestions, directions, anything we needed!! Anastasia booked us a day cruise which was the highlight of our trip and arranged us airport transportation for the flight home. Everything was seamless!! Will definitely recommend staying here to all of the people we know who are wanting to travel to this beautiful city!!

Fantastic stay. Perfect apartment for a couple. Very secure building and room. Very clean. Very walkable to main Athens historical sites and restaurants/bars. The communication was very good over WhatsApp and the recommendations provided on Athens were very useful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

The property is new and very comfortable and spacious. It is located near the major attractions and the public transportation. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing negative is the garage in front. It's a little noisy. I would recommend this property to anyone.

The management of 12 keys apartments was helpful and kind. The buildings located on a side street and difficult to find even for a taxi. But once you're there you'll be very happy.

We loved our stay at 12 Keys! The apartment is very close to a tram stop and getting to the airport was very easy. The location is also very easily walkable (1 mile) to the acropolis and restaurants and shopping.
