Excellent hotel near Acropolis. Room was comfortable with an excellent mattress. Hard wood floors everywhere were a nice touch. Breakfast buffet was light years above anything in the US. The restaurant had much more limited menu for lunch or dinner but there are literally hundreds of restaurants within w walking distance. The room had a view of the Acropolis from the balcony but the street below was pretty loud during the day. The gym in the hotel is rather limited.

L’esprit Coco-Mat instigué par Paul Efmorfidis a complètement disparu, cet endroit était vraiment différent des autres hôtels de Athènes, il est hélas maintenant quelconque et surtout pour le prix excessif d’une nuitée, vous pouvez trouver maintenant beaucoup mieux ailleurs. Un grand bravo au personnel qui essaie de palier à cette lente agonie hôtelière en instiguant sa bonne humeur et son professionnalisme.

Good clean hotel, well located and new. Staff are great. The rooms are a little small and the bathroom layout is a bit strange. The gym is very limited, they have space for more equipment but aren’t using it effectively. Feels disingenuous that the rooftop has been closed for over a year but they are using these images in their marketing and all over their website. They then send you a message after you have booked that it is closed. This should be removed as it’s not included in the hotel and so is really false advertising . The weird efforts to sell you the bed/mattress are very off-putting. This includes a notice in your room, a branded pillow on the bed, notes on your key card and a full size bed in the gym area (yes, really). It really downgrades the atmosphere and makes the hotel feel a bit cheap.

The staff were incredibly helpful. NOTE there is no rooftop pool or restaurant. I booked this hotel based on pictures only to find out that it was indefinitely closed in March 2024. However they recommended we go to the indoor pool at their sister hotel less than a 10min car ride away. The staff also provided us with breakfast to go since our flight left before the breakfast station opened.

I had a fantastic stay at Coco-Mat Athens BC Hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the city. Aynı kategoriden rezervasyon yapmama rağmen oda daha sıkışık hissettiriyordu. Buzdolabı içi kokuyordu çünkü çalışmıyordu. Kahve fincanları tozluydu (belli ki hiç temizlenmemiş tezgahın oralar. Üstelik gece yarısı vardığım için yorgunluktan uğraşmak istemedim. Ertesi sabah resepsiyona şikayetlerimi ilettim ama ful dolu olduğunu söylediler ve müsait başka oda yoktu. Bir dah gitmek istersem muhtemelen yine tercih ederim ama üst kat isterim. Bir de girişte hediye su, soda, kola, meyve suyu ve terlik hediye ediyorlar ama bence sağlık ve çevre dostu yaklaşımlarına aykırı bir davranış. Kahvaltısı güzeldi.

The reception and service from the Coco-Mat staff was wonderful, and staff was kind and helpful throughout our stay. The included breakfast was terrific. But our room was not the best. It was very small, not unusual for a hotel in Athens. But there was no closet, no drawers, no space for an open suitcase. A wheeled coat rack was left in the room for hanging space. Our third floor balcony faced west onto a busy street. There was only one curtain for the balcony slider, and it had to be kept closed to keep the room cool from the sun - so the room was very dark. In mornings, there was no sheer curtain, so the dark curtain needed to be kept closed as those on surrounding balconies could see into the room with the curtain open. So the small room was very dark at all times. The shower door didn't close tightly, so water tended to leak out. There was a large dark stain at the entrance to the bathroom, which appeared to be water damage. There are nicer hotels in Athens for the price, and we will not choose a Coco-Mat hotel again!

I discovered that bathing products didn't be renewed, one-third of conditioner is being used and left with some white dried conditioner. Disgusting dirt was unclened around the garbage bin in washroom. Floor near bathroom got moudly. I couldn't expect these happened in a 5 star hotel. Hotel do need to be reconditioned, obsolete impression. Other than that, view of acropolis was great, staff were nice, breakfast buffet tasted average

We received the room on the first floor. The window facing the main busy street made it possible to hear everything happening outside from midnight to 6AM. Furthermore, we could hear the other guests who were drinking in the lobby until like 12:45AM. I was also slightly disappointed with the size of the room. However, the room was modern, the staff was kind and the breakfast was good. Maybe we simply got unlucky with the assigned room.

Location couldn’t be better. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is tasteful and offers big variety of options. Filtered water is available 24x7. It could be perfect, if the room and the bedroom wouldn’t have some room for improvement. The room lacks blackout curtains, which is a big issue for me. It also should have a baggage holder. And the bathroom only has a single hanger for the four towels, which is a headache every day. In summary, a very good option for whom is visiting Athens.

We were given room 802 by a very nice lady when we checked in. The room was perfect it had a great view of the Acropolis. The staff and this hotel deserve 5 stars. It’s in a great location. Every one was very nice and went above and beyond. We checked out of the hotel at 3:00 am to catch our flight. We were given breakfast boxes. I love this hotel and highly recommend it.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. Opening the door for you when entering the hotel, offered to make up “to go breakfast” as we had to catch an early ferry and would miss continental breakfast hours! Would highly recommend!

Every single person especially the front desk is fantastic. Our first trip to Athens was really special and with their suggestions for food and local eateries we got to really enjoy true Athens. The breakfast is such a wide spread with delicious food and many options, their service staff is super accommodating. We loved our stay and had such a wonderful time, oh and everything is super close to main areas and tours. We took a nice stroll at the botanical gardens.

Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und ausgesprochen freundlich. Das Zimmer war angenehm groß; zwar gab es keine richtigen Schränke, jedoch ausreichend Möglichkeiten, Kleidung aufzuhängen. Uns war bereits im Vorfeld bewusst – und das war auf den Fotos auch klar ersichtlich –, dass keine klassischen Schränke oder Ablagemöglichkeiten vorhanden sind. Nach der ersten Reinigung hat das Housekeeping freundlicherweise eine Kofferablage ins Zimmer gestellt, sodass wir unsere Koffer darauf bequem ablegen und besser nutzen konnten. Zu Beginn unseres Aufenthalts haben wir einen Fleck auf dem Bettlaken festgestellt. Wir sind sicher, dass dieser nicht von einer anderen Person stammte, sondern vermutlich durch den Trockner oder die Waschmaschine entstanden ist. Nach unserer Meldung wurde das Bettlaken sofort ausgetauscht, und uns wurde zudem ein äußerst großzügiges Angebot als Entschädigung für die Unannehmlichkeit gemacht. Das Personal ist hervorragend geschult, stets aufmerksam und außergewöhnlich freundlich. Wir haben uns während des gesamten Aufenthalts sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Das Frühstück ist erstklassig, und insgesamt gibt es an diesem Hotel absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder.

We had a short stay at the end of 2 weeks in Greece and Coco-Mat Athens BC was perfect. Wonderful, friendly service at every step — from the person at the door to reception to the people who made and served an outstanding breakfast. They even accommodated a 4 a.m. departure for the airport with a packed breakfast to go. The room was a little on the small side but the space was used efficiently, and we liked the layout that included separate vestibules for the toilet and shower. Also, a great location — close to the Parthenon and the museum, and to dozens of shops, bars and restaurants.

Location was absolutely excellent. I am gluten-free and there are some 100% gluten-free dedicated restaurants within 100 yards of the hotel. Very easy walk to the Acropolis area. All of our tour guides when they picked us up at the hotel said where we were in a great location.

Coco Mat Athens-BC was our first stay upon arriving in Greece. The location is just a short walk to the acropolis and SO much more. Not to mention, the staff members are amazing and go above and beyond to ensure every need is met. We loved our stay and would recommend it be the place to stay while in Athens.

Definitely one of my most favorite breakfast experiences I've had. We loved waking up to some mini pancakes, eggs benedict, and delicious flat white coffee. We also enjoyed the location as we were within a minutes walking distance to a lot of things on our itinerary such as the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum, and Plaka street. We were also only a 20 minute taxi ride to the Piraeus port, which we used to go to easily Ferry to other islands such as Agistri and Aegina. There's also a metro stop near the hotel which should make it easier for you to get around and also get there from the ATH airport. We also loved our room which came with a gift bag and some other goodies! The mattress was comfortable (un-surprising since the company also sells mattresses) and we loved the bathroom. Although we were bummed that the rooftop was no longer accessible, we thoroughly enjoyed our 5-star experience at Coco-mat! We ended up just booking other rooftop experiences at other places so it wasn't a big deal to us.

Stayed here June 2025 for 3 nights. Great location. Nicely appointed and the food at the hotel restaurant for both the breakfast buffet and even dinner were exceptional. 5 minute walk to Acropolis Museum and Acropolis entrance. Highly recommend would absoluely stay there again.

Breakfast selection was awesome as was the staff - very nice and friendly! The room was very nice, like the tea and coffee in the room . Good dining nearby. Easy walk to the Acropolis . Our cab driver told us of a restaurant a block away that had the best gyros and salads reasonably priced.
