Hotel is to capacity. Stated amenities need to be present Pet friendly standard $25 per day for the dog so be aware. Ac worked ok. They have pool table $10hr. No frills Will not stay here again.

Hotel did not have a working dryer. Hotel dryer has been out for six weeks. Hotel elevator has been out for multiple weeks. Breakfast was the same every day. And it was not a good hot breakfast. Manager is not involved in day-to-day operations. There was multiple plumbing issues in the building and a strong smell of human or dog poop, throughout the second floor, near the stairs and the elevator. None of the employees nor the manager would come up to smell the issue. I would avoid this property.

Everything was good except the elevator didn’t work.

Choose this hotel because of indoor pool, wanted to take the kids to have fun swimming after black friday shopping, turns out water was freezing actually colder than outside imposible to get in for any children or adults.

The elevator was finally fixed. But still do not have a business area. Sometimes I need a printer and other hotels have business stations to print a quick document.

Loved it! Great location, breakfast, rooms… I just wish the indoor pool wasn’t freezing. We were excited to swim but couldn’t even get our legs in.

The 2 queen room actually has full beds, not queens. We booked the hotel for the indoor pool, but it is extremely cold. Kids were unable to swim at all. Hotel is nice, pool is freezing.

I liked the breakfast service. I needed to do laundry, but the dryer was out of service. So, I had to travel to an outside laundromat.

Check in was slow because there was only one clerk and the person in front of us had a problem which took a while to solve. One elevator was out of order. Our room was nice, spacious and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is across the street from Katy Mills Mall, so there is lots of shopping within walking distance. There are lots of restaurants close by too. The breakfast buffet had a variety of goods.

Water pressure and volume in the shower was terrible, as well as the temperature of the water (lukewarm). This property would be a good staying place if the water temp and pressure were more friendly to the traveler.

The room smelled like dog urine. I called the front desk 4 times to see about getting another room. However, front desk never answered the phone. Will not stay again!

The staff was very friendly and helpful but the cleanliness of the hotel was horrible. When I checked in my room it had bed bugs and was moved to another that was dirty with a smell.

There were roaches all over the beds. I will never book this hotel ever again!!!they did give me a full refund though and the girl at the desk was very sweet

Terrible water pressure, and the water barely reached above cool water temperature, "luke warm" at best. Room 333. Staff was nice though.

I would not recommend this place to stay. The lobby, hallways and room smelled like cat urine. My room was extremely hot and humid. My blankets were damp and so was the chair on the corner.

We were only there for one night. I will not be staying there again. When you walk into The hotel there is an unclean smell. Thought that was bad enough. As we walked to elevator the floors were sticky and generally dirty. Got to our room and it smelled worse. If I had not prepaid for room we would have left. Instead headed to CVS and picked up Lysol spray to try help with the small and any germs. Room was not that clean and we killed several flies.

The smell of ammonia in the hotel is insane! I get this is a pet friendly facility and that’s great. Hotels that allow pets should have certain floors designated to pets. I left my pets at home and slept in the smell of dog piss all night.

The property was visibly clean however it had a really strong moldy smell. They don't seem to have good ventilation especially in the bathrooms. Apart from this, everything was great. Great customer service, perfect location, and everything looked good. The moldy smell just took away from the experience.

I like that the property was near everything. I didn’t like that the walls were paper thin and you hear everyone in the halls and next rooms. Also the hotel smell very musty the whole time. The lady that check me in was not welcoming all.

The hotel room was decent. The bathroom door would not open completely and would get stuck. Also the pool is indoor but extremely cold. Guests on the floor above and to the side were extremely disrespectful and loud all night. sounded like there was a zoo above us until 2 AM. Did like the convenience of the closeness to the mall and park.

The beds were very comfortable!! I usually have a really hard time sleeping in hotel beds but this one wasn’t hard & I slept great!!

Very clean room and comfy bed. The room had all the amenities I need and they all worked perfectly.

I appreciated the size of the room we were in but I did not like how it felt like a motel. It didn’t have much lighting and there was no carpet.

Generally good though no one was at rhe desk when i arrived. I rang the bell twice, no one showed. I had to knock on the employee only doir before someone came out to help me. Apparently another custimer i overheard had been waiting sometime for help with checkin. The room was comfortable. It was quiet and dark which made it easier to sleep.

Great staff!!

Staff was hard to find. Free breakfast was unimaginative. Rooms were not cleaned all week. There was no ability to opt in or out of cleaning service Beds were fair.

Great location; convenient to shopping and restaurants, etc. The cleaning staff was constantly on the move and working hard. However, the front desk staff was absent most every time we were in the lobby. I knew they were close by because we could hear them talking/laughing in a nearby office. We watched another guest stand there for several minutes waiting to check in before a staff member finally appeared.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Service and Unacceptable Hotel Policies I stayed for a week at La Quinta Inn in Katy, TX, across from Katy Mills Mall, and I was extremely disappointed with the experience. The staff was not very friendly or helpful, and some of the hotel policies were completely unreasonable. To my surprise, housekeeping does not clean rooms daily unless you go to the lobby and specifically request it. They also don’t make the beds, take out the trash, or replace towels unless asked. This is unacceptable for any hotel, especially for guests staying several days. Additionally, the breakfast was exactly the same every single day, with no variety at all. It became boring and unappetizing very quickly. The most frustrating part was having to repeatedly go to the front desk to request basic services that should be standard in any hotel stay. This lack of care for guests' comfort shows poor management and low service standards. I would not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel to others looking for a comfortable or well-managed place to stay.

Great stay, very clean. Breakfast area was clean, fresh food and make your own fresh waffles. Vanessa at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Across the street from the mall and walking distance to eateries.

The girl at check in is very rude not friendly at all!

Everything was great other than our check-in. We were waiting for about 20 min ringing the bell for someone to help us check-in. We had to call the front desk and it was then when someone came out of the break room to help us out.

The smell in the room was musty and almost like if it had a water from the beach smell. Housekeeping was really helpful in trying to fix the smell. However, the smell came back after 30 minutes. I had to go buy odor absorbers from walmart down the road. Also, every time I had to go to the front desk, there was never a person there. Lastly, there was not enough toilet paper in our room. We realized early morning when we were getting ready to check out. We had to use the tissues.

We only stayed one night. We got back to our hotel room after eating dinner and the toilet would not flush. The front desk offered me a plunger because he couldn’t leave the desk or said he would be up to our room when another shift came on at 10pm. The next day we went down to breakfast to take food back to our room but the door would not unlock even with the key. Back downstairs with our food. Keys reprogrammed 2x on two trips up and down the elevator and still could not get in. Front desk brought a device to open the door but that did not work either. We had to wait an additional 45 minutes for housekeeping to come in. Missed our 9am appointment. Housekeeping came in and was immediately able to unlock the door with their keycard. We got dressed and left. In addition one elevators was out of service. Why would the front desk not have access to a housekeeping keycard?? Staff was kind for both incidents but would not stay there again.

Arrived late in the evening for an event. Check in was smooth, only complaint was the $25 daily pet fee was not mentioned upon booking so we had to pay $75 for our 3 night stay. we book a king room and it was plenty of space for my wife and our Corgi. The breakfast was decent. Hotel is located right across from the Katy Mills mall so ample shops.

The hotel is clean. Location cant be beat. Comfy beds. Breakfast exceeded my expectations with an extensive selection (two REAL waffle irons) and clean presentation & countertops. Clean tables in the eating area and different juice options. Best part of the stay! The indoor pool closed at 9pm which was early to me & the water was not heated (very cold). Front desk agents at check-in & check-out were both pleasant & helpful. Only needed a room for one night while I had repairs done to my house. Will definitely stay again if I'm ever in another last minute bind.

The hotel was in an excellent location. Walking distance to the mall and restaurants. The only issue I had with the hotel was that the walls were too thin. You can hear every footstep in the hall and through the walls from the other rooms. The only other thing that was a surprise, is they do not clean the room every day. They clean every several days.

This is our second stay for one week in the last 2 months. Hotel is still under construction so no bar and some amenities on each floor are not there (ice for example). Rooms are comfortable and clean. Location is good (Katy Mills parking lot). Extremely disappointed in breakfast. The stay last month (5 days) EVERY morning was same....eggs, potatoes and sausage. This time (4 days) EVERY breakfast the same....eggs, beans and sausage!! Also no salsa.....only ketchup. Seriously - we are in SOUTH TEXAS!

We had a wonderful five-day stay at this La Quinta. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and the rooms were very clean and well-kept, which made us feel right at home. The pool was also a highlight—while we wish it had been heated, it was still a great spot to relax. The only area that could use improvement was the breakfast. It was fairly limited and during our five-day stay, the menu only changed twice. We’ve stayed at other La Quinta locations where the breakfast offerings rotate daily, so this was a bit of a letdown by comparison. It wasn’t a major issue, but just something to note if you’re planning a longer stay. Overall, we’d definitely stay here again for the cleanliness, service, and overall comfort!

This is our usual stay over when we travel thru Texas to our destination in Mexico. We were known by the staff and they always greeted us warmly. This last trip wasn’t totally as usual. Did not recognize anyone, front desk was friendly enough, but that is where it ended. Condition of hotel appears to be declining. One elevator was out of order, breakfast was disappointing, and water pressure was extremely low. As to the breakfast area, we went down at 7am, breakfast began at 6 and most things were half or completely empty. Bread was limited to few stale looking slices of bread, eggs were soaked in water and rest of food was vastly unappealing. Normally there was an a worker keeping things filled and interacting with the guests, not so today. One of the French toast machines had an OLD piece of toast stuck in it, my wife who loves the French toast, said it had been in the machine awhile. The regular coffee urn was empty and my wife had to get the front desk to find someone to refill which ended up being the outside yard cleanup attendant, which by the way is doing a good job as the outside was immaculate. But a coffeemaker he is not, coffee was full of coffee grounds, not a good taste. I know this is lengthy, I usually just ignore the review or keep it short. But I have seen places that we love to stay decline either because of hotel mgmt cutting corners or hiring the wrong people. I hope I am not forced to change our location, time will tell.
