Had a lovely stay in Salisbury, our room at Caboose was very comfortable , excellent location for exploring the City. Caboose is a very quirky place but more a B & B than Hotel as the Bar area wasn't open and the Website led us to believe it was, which was a bit disappointing. Just a suggestion that its should be made clear that this is the case. Would recommend as a base , breakfast was acceptable.

Nice friendly staff. We were able to stow our luggage inside because we arrived too early and after checking out to tour the town. Close to the train station. Rooms were recently remodeled. Breakfast was traditional, very good, home cooked. The only downside is the stairs to the rooms. Very tight, but they will bring the luggage up for you.

It’s in a great position close to the station and City centre. Very close too to public car parking at the station. You have to use a very narrow staircase to get to your room so not good if you have heavy cases. We only met one member of staff there who both greeted us on arrival and served breakfast. She was friendly and helpful. The room was great the bathroom was a good size too.

Great breakfast. Good location for town & cathedral. Nice atmosphere & quaint. Room a bit small. No lift. Near the station for parking but watch out for the fees. A day ends at 3.49am!! quite noisy at night.

I wish I could do ten stars instead of just five! We had a wonderful stay at the Caboose.....the staff (Lauren, James and Valeria) were wonderful and super friendly with good advice about the area. The location was close to the train station, easy walking to the city center, market, parks and cathedral. Rooms were comfortable and clean, shower was excellent. It was surprisingly quiet for being right next to the train tracks although they did supply ear plugs for light sleepers. There was ice water, and coffee/tea supplies in the room. Delicious breakfast cooked to order in the mornings....the fresh croissants were some of the best I've ever had. The only slight minus was the lack of an elevator which might be an issue for those with mobility problems.....not a problem for us, but I mention it so you won't be surprised. The staff offered to carry our luggage up and down the stairs which was so sweet. I would wholeheartedly stay here again! Thank you for a great experience in Salisbury.

Staff was amazing! Had a wonderful time with a clean room and thought it was a really neat place. The staircase could be difficult for some, as it's obviously an old one built when treads weren't as deep. Nicely set up room, though small in size. Would definitely stay there again! The only downside for me was lack of a soft pillow though flatter pillows appear to be more standard in the UK. Since we were early to arrive we were able to store our luggage at the associated bar a couple of doors up the street and James was nice enough to retrieve it and get it to our room while we enjoyed the friendly people and nice atmosphere there with good food and drinks.

Excellent! Friendly staff, great room. Warm, comfortable bed, hot shower, toiletries provided, clean, and breakfast was downstairs in the pub. Very clean, good food, great hosts. Across the road from the railway station, convenient but also very quiet.

Check in easy. Room was fine bed really comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and shower really good. Carpets could have looked better and some paint missing on the walls but other than that all good. Received vouchers for breakfast at hetty bells just down the road. Staff there very good and friendly. Food was fine.

Super location steps from train station. Cozy and nice room. Best air conditioner in England! Superb private bathroom with great shower and lots of hot water. Nuce tea and coffee selection in our room. The staff are super friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was absolutely Amazing! Again the best we have had in England. Will take care of your bags pre check in whilst you go tour the Cathedral. Over all i rate this a perfect choice and would highly recommend. Cheers

The hotel is about two minutes walk from the train station which, due to the nature of my family related stay, really did help. The room was not huge, but just about spacious enough for a short stay. The bed was really comfortable, loved it! The carpet was beautifully soft underfoot. The overall decor was pleasant with some tasteful pictures.There was also nice toiletries included with a Brucie Bonus of complimentary chocolate cookies. The rainfall hose of the shower didn't have great pressure or heat. However, there was a separate hose a bit lower down on the riser rail, so I was able use this hose for showering and that was fine. The TV worked well and no signal issues to contend with, thankfully. There was no view at all from the window due to the adjacent buildings, but obviously this can't be helped. The man who greeted me when I arrived was prefectly friendly as was the lady who assisted me for breakfast. The breakfast was tasty although not the biggest selection of food and I would've preferred my scramled eggs already on toast rather than having to cook the toast separately. The room where the breakfast was served was classy and elegant. It was a shame this room was not open for drinks in the evening (there is a bar there). Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommended it. The one caveat is that due to the narrow stairs and absence of lift (no way could one be installed), the property would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

The property itself was fantastic. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good decor with wonderful en-suite. Unfortunately we had a bedroom at the front of the property so we’re on the busy road and right by the side of the railway station so very noisy. Breakfast voucher for hetty belles was brilliant lots on offer.

Very clean hotel. It has air conditioning and heat. Breakfast was excellent ! The only things I didn’t like are No lift to move luggage upstairs Not 24 hours check in. If you can’t check in their available hours in the morning , you have to wait till the reception reopen at 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon.

Loved staying here. Fantastic from the start. On check in we were given a warm greeting at Hettie Bells, where you check-in, (they kindly allow free bag storage before the afternoon check in) and the complimentary homemade cookies were a lovely surprise and greatly appreciated on the cold November day. Room lovely decorated, fresh feeling and nice ensuite bathroom. Room not spacious but a big double bed, tv, chair and hangers for clothes, what more do you need. We slept well, nice and quiet. Breakfast was a buffet at Hettie Bells a minute up the road. Hettie Bells is the railway cafe so would advice its not that warm in there in winter so wear a coat but that didn't take away from how much we enjoyed our breakfast there. Big yummy bacon butties, and the yogurt museli was really very good. The lady 'Red' who served us was so welcoming and friendly. It was easy to walk to all the places we wanted to see in Salisbury and perfect for catching the Stonehenge bus, just a couple of minutes away from Caboose. We would definitely return to this lovely hotel.

Quaint place to stay. Owners have done an excellent job restoring the property. Loved the decor. We were sorry that we couldn’t be there for the opening of the bar. Customer service is a high priority and here they’re doing it right!

Friendly welcome and care throughout our stay. Lady with long dark hair absolute credit to your business. She showed genuine care and professionalism. Hand baked cookies given when we checked in. Absolutrey gorgeous room and parlour, a hearty breakfast of choice cooked to order. Only downside was traffic noise but little ear plugs provided and air con so no need to open windows. Good value.

The Caboose now has an arrangement with the Hattie Bells pub a few doors up (or down), for them to host the guest rooms and to provide breakfast. Easy check in and was given complimentary giant cookies and small flask of fresh milk on arrival to the room. Room was large, clean and warm. A £20 breakfast voucher was provided and that was more than enough to cover what I wanted. The one member of staff who I had contact with from check in to check out was friendly and helpful and deserves a salary increase.

Staff was amazing! Had a wonderful time with a clean room and thought it was a really neat place. The staircase could be difficult for some, as it's obviously an old one built when treads weren't as deep. Nicely set up room, though small in size. Would definitely stay there again! The only downside for me was lack of a soft pillow though flatter pillows appear to be more standard in the UK. Since we were early to arrive we were able to store our luggage at the associated bar a couple of doors up the street and James was nice enough to retrieve it and get it to our room while we enjoyed the friendly people and nice atmosphere there with good food and drinks.

Beautiful, elegant treasure right around the corner from the train station and near bus stops. Easy walk to Salisbury Cathedral and Museum. Excellent breakfast! Delicious Nepalese restaurant a few doors to the left. Lovely pub where you can safely leave your luggage and have a beer and eat pub food. Stonehenge a bus ride away!

Nuce tea and coffee selection in our room. The staff are super friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was absolutely Amazing! Again the best we have had in England. Will take care of your bags pre check in whilst you go tour the Cathedral. Over all i rate this a perfect choice and would highly recommend. Cheers

I wish I could do ten stars instead of just five! We had a wonderful stay at the Caboose.....the staff (Lauren, James and Valeria) were wonderful and super friendly with good advice about the area. The location was close to the train station, easy walking to the city center, market, parks and cathedral. Rooms were comfortable and clean, shower was excellent. It was surprisingly quiet for being right next to the train tracks although they did supply ear plugs for light sleepers. There was ice water, and coffee/tea supplies in the room. Delicious breakfast cooked to order in the mornings....the fresh croissants were some of the best I've ever had. The only slight minus was the lack of an elevator which might be an issue for those with mobility problems.....not a problem for us, but I mention it so you won't be surprised. Caboose was a rare find: walking distance to train station (2 minutes), Salisbury Cathedral (approx 10 minutes), and all the shops, restaurants, sights, and pubs in between. It was quite convenient - we were able to leave our bags when we arrived mid- morning, then roll up late afternoon to check in, grab our bags and head to Caboose. Room was small but comfortable - nowhere to unpack, unpacked on the bed both mornings. Staff we met were polite and friendly. Was looking forward to continental breakfast - but was very, very disappointing and definitely not a continental breakfast, some items on a very small menu were not available.

We absolutely adored this place. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful and the lounge is just a treat for your eyes. We arrived in Salisbury before check-in and left after check-out but they happily stored our bags for us. The breakfast was fantastic. My husband had the full English and I had the vegan (vegetarian?--don't remember) full English. Both were really tasty. Especially the mushrooms! The coffee and orange juice were also delicious. All of that was included with our one-night stay. The room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was a decent size--I think the largest bathroom we had during our travels! They had nice products in the bathroom - though bring your conditioner. I don't think they had any if I remember correctly. Super convenient to the train station and about a 10-15 minute walk to the main area with restaurants, shopping, and the cathedral. Just a really lovely stay. Highly recommend.

Did the job, close to train and Stonehenge bus. Walkable to town and the meadows by the Salisbury Cathedral. The pub is a good place for a pint. The breakfast is good for one time, but quickly becomes boring from lack of options, especially healthy or vegetarian fare. We slept well here and the cleaning was great.

We had a wonderful stay at Caboose. The B&B is located 3 minutes from the station, next to restaurants, pubs and just a 10 minute walk into the town. Our room was lovely with a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The breakfast is amazing with a continental selection and a fully cooked to order hot meal menu as well. Highly recommended.

Quirky and appealing boutique hotel near the rail station and a short walk from the centre of Salisbury. The staff are friendly and efficient. We liked the attention to quality- the delicious home made brownies left in your room, upmarket toiletries, and no skimping on tea or coffee provided. The breakfast (included in the rate) was beautifully presented and even the coffee of artisan quality (usually I'm disappointed). Vegans/vegetarians are valued. We also loved the cocktail bar. Whilst rather older than most, we loved the 1920's vibe, the abundance of chandeliers, pictures and even hats and of course the cocktails. Marvellous.

Update to the review that I started when we arrived last night. Bed was comfy once I sorted my pillow out. Shower really nice and has body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Lovely big towels. Breakfast was yum. Full English. Also pastry granola fruit toast etc. all included. Definitely will come again. Thank you 😊
