Too far from where our room is. Above casino. Restaurants were closed. Cantina bar and food closed early at 11? For a resort in high season should be open and better food options.

I had a great time celebrating New Year's, but there was an unfortunate incident with the elevator. We got stuck inside, and the alarm didn’t work. With the DJ blasting music in the lobby, no one could hear us. We had to pry open the doors ourselves to get out, which was definitely stressful. Despite that, the rest of the event was fun and memorable.

The stafaaf wer e quite rude and seemed bothered to have to wait on people. Check in staff person was unwelcoming. Only bar open after 10pm is the main bar in casino so its mobbed and hard to get drinks. Top golf suite is well worn and not maintained as it should be. Juat diaappointed, not at all what I expected foe the noney.

It was raining and there wasn't any shelter area from the Alder to the casino floor, after leaving pool area I had to get back out in the cold to head back to the Alder(needs to join the building at leàst a covering to get from one side to the next).

I’m writing to express my deep disappointment with the experience my family and I recently had during our stay at your hotel. What was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable visit turned into a series of unacceptable inconveniences that I feel compelled to bring to your attention. To begin with, the first room we were assigned had a powerful and unpleasant stench coming from the air conditioning unit, making it impossible to stay in. Additionally, we had booked a room with a king bed and a pull-out couch to accommodate our son, but instead were given a room with two queen beds—an arrangement that did not meet our needs or match our reservation. After we raised these issues with the front desk, we were moved to a different room. While we appreciated the effort to accommodate us, the new room had its own serious issues. The pull-out couch, which our son was expected to sleep on, had visible dust and, shockingly, what appeared to be dried feces on the mattress—without even a sheet provided. This was not only unacceptable but completely unsanitary and distressing for any guest to encounter, let alone for a child. Room sink had toothpaste cap in the drain. The lotion had been used by a previous guest. Room smelled musty. Bed was comfortable. Dining was expensive for quality of food. There is not much to do: gamble, eat, golf. The pools were nice. The spa was too pricey to invest.

Room was great except for the very noisy heating/AC unit. The parking lot was not well plowed with ice patches in lots of spots. The walkways were a bit messy also. But overall, a great and fun place to stay. The restaurants at the main building are great.

My room was quiet and had a good night's sleep, however their towels stink from some chemical they use for washing them, which was somewhat strong smell. Also, I didn't want housekeeping service so I put 'do not disturb' on doorknob but they went in anyways and moved all my stuff around and gave me more smelly towels. Also, why cant there be a covered walkway from hotel to casino? Was 3 degrees and a snowstorm when I stayed there.

From check in to check out, all hotel staff seemed uninterested in speaking to any guests. I walked up and said hi! We are here to check in, the response i received was "photo id and credit card". I handed both items and to which the employee responded "stairs or elevator". Having never stayed there i had no idea what he was talking about. When i asked what he said "do you want stairs or elevator" so i just answered elevator. He never explained anything about the property, never told us where the pool or other accommodations were. He ended our conversation by saying "you smoke in our room we will charge you alot". Then we got to the room, there was a hole in the wall, scuff marks all over the wall, a mysterious white stain on the chair. The toilet seat was nearly falling off of the toilet, i fixed it myself so we didnt have to deal with the lobby staff again. There was also a surprise $200 hold on my card bringing the room to $930 for 2 nights. It still has not been refunded to me.

On check in to my room, noticed 2 dead bed bugs on pillow. Staff was responsive to my request for a change of room. No additional cleanliness problems noted during stay. I would recommend The Alder for a stay.

Overall room appearance at first was great. But small details were overlooked. Wastebaskets in room/ bathroom were filthy. The bottom wall in bathroom by door was dirty. There wasn’t a hairdryer in the room. The bedframe for one of the beds was broken. This would’ve been discovered when housekeeping prepared the beds prior to our arrival.

The .ain grievance i had with the Adler was i booked a king room on July 10th for August 30th checkin and upon arrival was told that there we no king rooms available. I was also told by the concierge that rooms are not guaranteed and had i reserved via the hotel website wouldve seen the disclaimer. However I booked via hotels.com therefor no such disclaimer was present. I found this to be an admission of fraudulent practice. How can you advertise offerrings have them booked but then say nope we didn't have that. This is poor business practice.

Arrival was around 5:30pm. The woman at the Front Desk was rude. My reservation was clearly a King bed. We received 2 Double beds. I asked for my reservation to be as booked and was told all Kings were booked. Yeah, one of them was mine! The beds were awful and the A/C was noisy as hell all night. The water pressure was down to a trickle at the vanity sink. I won't be back!

The property was nice. We checked in late and were assigned a room with a single king side bed. I told the clerk that the room I reserved should have had two queen beds. I was told it wasn’t available and they have no control over online reservations. We were two adults and a teenager so one bed would not have worked. We were told they should be pull out sofa. Thankfully there was one in a room but no linens were provided. The sofa mattress was stained as well. We had to wait for close to half hour for the linens to be delivered. All in all it’s a nice property but assignment of the incorrect room was annoying. Not sure if it’s Expedia’s fault or the hotel’s.

We were expecting way better for as expensive as this room was. We booked a king room but wound up with 2 full sizes beds. The chair next to the bed was broken as was the coffee maker. Mini fridge was so full of ice we couldnt use it. Needs to be defrosted and cleaned. Not impressed. Ive had better for much less.

From check in to check out, all hotel staff seemed uninterested in speaking to any guests. I walked up and said hi! We are here to check in, the response i received was "photo id and credit card". I handed both items and to which the employee responded "stairs or elevator". Having never stayed there i had no idea what he was talking about. When i asked what he said "do you want stairs or elevator" so i just answered elevator. He never explained anything about the property, never told us where the pool or other accommodations were. He ended our conversation by saying "you smoke in our room we will charge you alot". The stafaaf wer e quite rude and seemed bothered to have to wait on people. Check in staff person was unwelcoming. Only bar open after 10pm is the main bar in casino so its mobbed and hard to get drinks. Top golf suite is well worn and not maintained as it should be. Juat diaappointed, not at all what I expected foe the noney.

We arrived at 2 pm and were told we could check in early but only for a price, so we waited until we could check in for free like everyone else did resulting in a huge wait and only one person working the desk . We are here on a holiday weekend and a sold out concert in town, it was a little disappointing to waste so much time just waiting to check in

Everything at the property is over priced due to it being part of the casino. Random resort charges on CC statement with zero explanation when questioned. It was raining and there wasn't any shelter area from the Alder to the casino floor, after leaving pool area I had to get back out in the cold to head back to the Alder(needs to join the building at leàst a covering to get from one side to the next).

My room was quiet and had a good night's sleep, however their towels stink from some chemical they use for washing them, which was somewhat strong smell. Also, I didn't want housekeeping service so I put 'do not disturb' on doorknob but they went in anyways and moved all my stuff around and gave me more smelly towels. Also, why cant there be a covered walkway from hotel to casino? Was 3 degrees and a snowstorm when I stayed there.

Rooms at the Adler were nice. The desk service was satisfactory nothing special. Location was convent to Bethel Woods and local hiking. We weren’t there for the Resort so can’t comment on that.

I preferred this hotel to the main hotel because it was more of a boutique hotel but unfortunately they are understaffed. Our friends who are staying here as well never had their room made up. Someone from other hotel had to be called over to help with luggage. And although food was very good and waitstaff was so nice it took a very long time to be served dinner at the steakhouse.

Disappointed lack of food options. Only place open was the cantina. Check in was impersonal. Given no information on locations of on site amenities. Had to ask where the pool and hot tub were. We stopped for the night while traveling through the Catskills. The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds and walk-in showers. The pool is in the main casino - we did not go in but it looked fabulous and we will return when we have more time. We really enjoyed our dinner at Cellaio.

Room sink had toothpaste cap in the drain. The lotion had been used by a previous guest. Room smelled musty. Bed was comfortable. Dining was expensive for quality of food. There is not much to do: gamble, eat, golf. The pools were nice. The spa was too pricey to invest.
