Overall this hotel was ok. Pros: Not too far from the train station or trolley, good restaurants around, place seemed clean, and the staff was nice. Cons: The downstairs bathrooms were out of toilet paper when we arrived, the room was very minimal - I mean not even any end tables, bathroom was tiny.

The hotel was 6 minutes from the train station. Old building but modernized inside. Many options for dinner and drinks in all directions. Breakfast included was solid. The room was comfortable and clean. Lots of closet space.

Funky tomato soup colored bathroom fixtures. Eclectic wiring: bathroom switches turned off random sets of lights in the main room and nothing seemed to turn off the mirror or shower lights. Outlets worn such that plugs would fall out unless propped up.

Nothing special. The pictures make the hotel appear much newer and more updated than in person. Our shower didn’t drain properly. We were traveling with friends. The water didn’t work in their shower or bathtub. If you don’t need to bathe, stay here. It’s s great location, close to many nice restaurants and just a short walk to Duomo.

Hotel maravilhoso, no coração de Florença. Pertinho da estação, ao lado do Mercado Central, com todas as facilidades por perto. Funcionários super simpaticos e prestativos. Café da manhã excelente, com tudo bem fresco e muita variedade. Para quem está de carro, o hotel tem uma parceria com uma garagem proxima, que vale muito a pena. Supreendeu positivamente. Com certeza voltaremos.

Hotel and staff were fantastic! If you do not have a vehicle this is an outstanding choice due to its location and proximity to everything you would want to see in this beautiful city. If you have a car, expect to pay a premium for parking, and if you have an early flight out, or enjoy getting an early start with your rental car, know that you will not be able to access the car before 7:00AM.

I had a very good experience during my stay in this hotel. Very clean, staff are very nice and friendly and polite.Rooms are very clean, great showers in the rooms, the breakfast they serve is awesome, they give tiny jam jars to you instead of jam in plastic containers, cut fruits, pancakes, eggs in different varieties, etc. even snacks you can grab to go on your busy walking day ahead! They place a bag of a kind note and tuscany special biscotti at your door on the night before your check out, which was a very nice gesture by them. Air conditioner in the rooms works well. There are enough power outlets and cloth hangers, the bathroom is well facilitated as well. The minibar in the room is very good too.

The room was not very clean. The bathroom door did not work. My son looked in there for 30 minutes or more. They told us not to close the door when we went to the bathroom. Tiny bedroom I was sharing with my son...The air conditioning was not working. The temperature in Florence that day was 42 degrees. The only thing they gave us was a 5 dollar fan that was ridiculous .I spent over $450 for the room.

This hotel is perfectly located to all the attractions. However it was surprisingly quiet being in the middle of the business. Rooms are on the small side but extremely nice. Only complaint I have is the pillows. One thin pillow and one thick and not very comfortable. Breakfast was really good overall and quite a selection. Overall though the service was really great. The front desk attendant named John was exceptional in recommending restaurants and making reservations. He was also great in ordering taxis whenever we needed.

We loved this hotel. We had a deluxe room and it was delicious. We had 2 large beds and each bed was in its own room almost. Each area had its own tv. Beds were comfortable. We loved it. Shower area was very nice except the actual shower was tiny. And I mean small!!! Their water pressure was fantastic. The staff at the hotel are incredible and super helpful. The service is incredible. Whatever we asked for, was literally done right away. And I mean within minutes. Our room came on the main road, initially the first night on a Friday night it was loud until about 2 am. But all other nights it was quiet. Breakfast selection was great and they make the coffee for you. Again at breakfast, service was great. We would stay here again.

Amazing location, superior comfort bedding, staff were great. The only 2 things I wasn’t really impressed are the intermittent temperature of hot water and acoustic (you can hear next door tv and the slamming door is extremely loud). These 2 things are essential for a good night sleep after out and about all day.

My wife and I enjoyed a few days in Firenze during our honeymoon and had the pleasure of staying at The Market Urban Hotel. We arrived a few hours before check in and the staff was incredibly accommodating in getting our room prepared so that we would be able to check in and drop off our luggage/ wash up before heading out to explore the city. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in providing us with directions, recommendations on where to eat, etc. The hotel itself was very clean and we did enjoy the blend of modern motif with old charm. The location of the hotel was close enough to the train station (7 minute walk) while being far enough to avoid all of the traffic and people that you would normally find around a station. The hotel itself was also centrally located to many of the major attractions and shopping areas which made it easy to head out for a few hours and then return for a quick rest or some reprieve from the heat! In the evenings we enjoyed the fact that there was a gelateria within steps of the hotel as well as a great restaurant next door which had delicious home made pasta! We would definitely stay at The Market Urban Hotel the next time we visit Firenze. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience! Grazie Millie, Nicole & Oreste

I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel in Florence. The location couldn’t be better right in the heart of the city, making it easy to walk to all the major sights, shops, and restaurants. Overall good experience, nice staff. Except for the false alarm at 4am in the morning, and I called the reception at least 4 times during different times, no one picked up the phone. It is not for emergency issues, but still…. Besides this, the stay was enjoyable, the false alarm and calls might be a random incident…..

A Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Staff Our experience at this place was truly excellent, made even more memorable by the incredible team. David at the front desk was outstanding—knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help. He gave us great recommendations for local attractions and fantastic food spots, and even helped us with reservations, making our visit so much smoother. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Leiann in the kitchen. She greeted us every morning with the warmest smile and the kindest heart. Her coffee and hot chocolate were the perfect start to our days, and her genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. A Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Staff Our experience at this place was truly excellent, made even more memorable by the incredible team. David at the front desk was outstanding—knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help. He gave us great recommendations for local attractions and fantastic food spots, and even helped us with reservations, making our visit so much smoother. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Leiann in the kitchen. She greeted us every morning with the warmest smile and the kindest heart. Her coffee and hot chocolate were the perfect start to our days, and her genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place for both the comfort and the amazing people who make it so special!

Our stay in the Market Urban Hotel was absolutely amazing. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and is a perfect starting point for going around the city. The surrounds get quite busy though so be prepared to dodge your way through the foot traffic. It's a small hotel so we were quite surprised by the good size of our room. The breakfast spread was adequate but what it lacked in choices was made up for by the amazing service! Special mention to the kitchen and dining staff: Jessica, Nika, Jem and Carla...there were no pan-de-sals but they made us feel at home!

I traveled to Florence on a solo trip and this hotel was a great place to stay! The location was fantastic; very close to the Santa Maria Novella train station, the Uffizi, Academia Galleria, Duomo, etc! The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. Best of all, the front desk staff, Nicola and Giovanni, were very kind, friendly, and helpful with recommendations/any questions I had. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Florence! Highly recommend!

The location is great for the train station. The rooms are nicely decorated. I found the neighbourhood felt a little unsafe at night. I had noisy neighbours in the next room so I moved rooms my second night. The staff were very helpful

This was our first trip to Florence. We did a lot of research but even with that you’re never really sure you found the right place. We chose Market Urban based on the reviews. This hotel is not in the center of everything but really close and we think that was a benefit. It is a short seven minute walk from the train station, 10 minutes to the Duomo, 15 minutes to Academia and 20 minutes to Ufuzi Lots of restaurants nearby. By USA standards the rooms are a bit small BUT we had a comfortable king bed and a modern bathroom. Most importantly the people who work there are super friendly and helpful with things like recommendations for restaurants directions tours etc. I want to specifically thank David, Nick, Roberto and Giovani. If you are from the USA you will appreciate the breakfast . Scrambled Eggs, bacon, pancakes, croissants, fruit and yes real American coffee

The location was fantastic. I could rest in the middle of the day AND visit all the sights. It’s near the train station and lots of restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly. As a solo traveler I felt safe. The room, though small was well designed, clean and a great bed. The best surprise was an excellent breakfast, of scrambled eggs, Italian pastries, fresh coffee and juices. The breakfast area was very nice to sit and enjoy.

We stayed at the Market Urban on our first few nights in Italy - it is walkable from the train station which was super helpful! The front desk clerk is amazing - wish I could remember his name. He helped us with restaurant choices and reservations as well as travel arranagments to our next destination. The breakfast provided is amazing - so many choices and makes the start of your day so easy!

Staff was great! Room was nice and spacious and hotel close to the markets and restaurants !! Elevator was very small especially if you have a wheelchair which we had and barely fit! Would recommend!
