Moxy Boston Downtown

Very nice and clean. My only complaint would be the parking. It was 2 blocks away and not valet.

Not easy parking options for out of towners, or for a car. Lucky where I went was in walking distance and it was nice to walk but off property parking costed me 79$ for one night. Other than that, their cocktails were great and the room was really clean. The fitness facility was great also and surprised how many people were awake as early as I was.

Fun vibe, great gym, perfect location.

Great Location of Hotel. No parking options for when you stay at the hotel which is super stressful at first. No refrigerator in room which is never mentioned. No Vending Machines. But Hotel is super modern, very clean, and staff was 100% on point! I am definitely going back, because it will be even better with what I know.

They should update website descriptions I reserved a room with a river view and there was no river view also the rooftop bar is not available everyday only for events something they should specify. When I called the front desk to tell them they give you the “well you booked with a third party” hate that other than that modern,clean, and the food was good!

No free parking, so be aware buyers.

This is for folks who just want a place to crash for one night. Rooms are very small, parking is a nightmare, loading and unloading luggage is almost nonexistent.

The Moxy is a really good spot in terms of location in the city. The room is a little small, doesnt come with fridge unless its requested. The mattress was comfortable you kinda sink in a little. The bathroom is nice but on the smaller side. The limited bar is convenient, no beer on tap, bar staff is really nice especially Stephanie. The gym is really basic. The room was good honestly would give it 4.5 for overall rating.

We took Amtrak and could walk to the hotel. A perfect location with lots of great restaurants within walking distance. It was a small room, but folding chairs, a folding tablem and wall pegs made the room comfortable. We watched 4th of July fireworks from the rooftop and had a spectacular view. They charge a "resort fee" which can be used in the restaurant, but the available breakfast was mediocre.

The parking garage on Beach Street that the hotel recommends was not the easiest spot to get into and was very very very full. The hotel itself is nice and close to a lot of things. The bar was not great but the free drink/ food vouchers make it worth it. Overall we had a nice stay and would come back for a show in that area.

Great location and room was super clean. View was wonderful. We would stay here again

Two words: giant roaches

Very nice property in an excellent location. The staff was the best I’ve ever experienced at a hotel including five star resorts. Every need was met with a smile even though we wanted for little since everything was already thoughtfully provided. Hotel was kept neat and tidy at all times. Loved it!!

I enjoyed the hotel but the air conditioner broke during our stay and the temperature rose to 88 in our room. It took over 24 hours to fix.

Great hotel. Small, but very cozy room. Wasn't a fan of the 'hospitality fee' at the start, but with the food/drink voucher, I changed my tune quick. I was on the 12th floor, so nice views. Room was clean, bed was comfy.

Loved our stay at Moxy Downtown Boston. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always patient and helpful even when we were exhausted upon our late arrival. The Boho Chic decor was fun and interesting. We were walking distance to the commons with multiple dining locations in the area including no less than 4 Starbucks. The room wasa very small but, the view and the shower were both incredible. The staff was very accomodating and gave us a room on a higher floor to mitigate outside noise as this is in the middle of the theater district. They provide earplugs in the room but, we didn't use them. There was also a white noise machine in the room. There are no amenities in the room such as coffee or a mini-fridge but there is free coffee available on the main floor. The incidentals costs are offset by food and drink coupons that have to be used in house but, at least that's something. The food was good and the service was great. There is a decent exercise room although I didn't get an opportunity to use it. We got plenty of exercise walking around and I did some running while there as well. The "Freedom Trail" begins in the commons so you are at the beginning in less than 5 minutes. It's also only a few blocks to the finish line for the Marathon. Overall, the Mocxy made our four days in Boston fantastic. I would definitely recommend highly.

Service and cleanliness are good. Location is good except noises from the outside traffic at night, which is not in Moxy’s control

Rooms were very nice and clean

AC was terrible, thermostat indicated room temperature as 66F when it was around 76, the compressor would turn on, terrible first night, called it in, they send a maintenance technician and all of a sudden (after fixing the it was bypassed and tricked) the thermostat when to real temp and compressor started working. Shower door wouldn’t keep closed very inconvenient. They charge for water, not the best, definitely would go to the W at fornt nextbtime

Great location, but extremely loud. I’ve stayed in NYC hotels in the heart of Times Square and didn’t hear any street noise. At this property, you hear everything (cars, ambulances, people coming out of clubs). Very minimal furnishings in the room, no closet. Shower is great. Expensive room, but you pay for convenient location.

Perfect place to stay if you’re not spending much time in the hotel. The rooms are small but clean and the bathrooms are very nice. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Would recommend for couples or single travel.

VERRRRRRY Noisy... be warned, because you are in the theatre district with clubs all around and tons of nightlife, you will hear noise until 1 am without a doubt, especially if you are staying on a weekend. Nice hotel, cool vibe, VERY small rooms with limited amenities but honestly the fact that we had to wear earplugs (which were provided by the hotel!!!) to bed, was a turn off.

Stayed in a single King room, on the theatre side. Room size was small, but doable for 1 person. It would be a squeeze if you’re traveling with 2. No dresser, bureau, OR closet - that’s why multiple people would be a squeeze. You’re left with living out of your suitcase. If you have hang-able clothes, there are pegs along the wall (they do provide some hangers). Also no room fridge. Noise from the street is noticeable, but you get used it. Hotel is right next to Tufts hospital, so sirens are very normal. You can request a quieter room along the river if you prefer that.

Rooms look better on pictures. No safe to put in your valuables. No password protected wifi (even the conference one) and no area where you can hold the meeting without noise.

Small, poorly appointed rooms. Advertised as queen bed - was really a double size bed. No wardrobe in such a small room is a major downside

Room was small, the city view wasn’t that great. No fridge or ice access available to guests. No access to the Rooftop. Comps and credits were cool, food was ok. Close to some restaurants and bars which was also cool & near the Boston common.

The customer service at Moxy Boston could be some of the worst I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. If you don’t like people, you probably shouldn’t work as a bartender or in guest services at a hotel. With so many other hotel options in the theater district, do yourself a favor and skip this wormhole.

I was treated horribly by the desk manager for two days. She embarrassed me in front of guests. I cannot believe she is allowed to act like that on the job.I paid extra for a nice room that she refused to offer me. Another manager had to step in to assist me with check in. She kept arguing and disrespect me. This is horrible.

This was hands down my favorite hotel that i have stayed in. The hotel was clean. Staff were super friendly. I loved all the artwork. Rooms were small but had everything you needed. The front desk staff were so helpful and so were the guys at the bar restaurant. Really really nice people. I hope to be back

Close to several metro stations, Boston Commons, China Town and the theater district. Staff were very nice and efficient. Would stay again without question. Looking forward to checking out other Moxy locations.

The staff is excellent! Great location, fun and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are a bit small, but nice views, clean and comfortable. The bar/lounge area also great. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

Staff was friendly and helpful. At check-in we received 2 coupons for welcome drinks and $35 daily voucher we could use at the Bar Moxy for food and/or drinks. The location is amazing, it is in the theater district and close to Boston Common and Chinatown. We walked everywhere and got to hit a lot of the Boston highlights. Perfect for a first time visit to Boston.

The Moxy is in the heart of theater district my husband & I had a blast but you really need to enjoy city life rooms are very small & a bit loud but also in walking distance to sooo many attractions . I would give the hotel moxy a 8 1/2 stars 🌟😊

Hotel design is industrial and yet has a cozy feel. The staff is friendly, felt like friends. Geat breakfast, fresh, healthy and tasty

Hotel was perfect for what we needed. The area is very busy and loud on weekends but they give you earplugs and have a white noise machine to help. We slept perfectly fine. While the area is a little touristy/sketchy, you're 2 blocks from some of the nicest parts of the city. We really appreciated the daily $35 coupon to the cafe. Wish we knew sooner you can use it on all snacks/drinks from the fridge. You don't need to dine there to use them. Would stay again.

I don’t know what it was, but they used super thin crust and put toppings on it to approximate a pizza…but that wasn’t it - all burnt. If you need a slice, I suggest New York Style Pizza less than a block away heading up to the Common.

The room wasn’t what we asked for or expecting, when we asked if we could change rooms (they had plenty of rooms available) it would be an additional $150. The room was tiny with barely any room to move, the only place to sit was a folding chair that was very low to the ground, the bed was also very low to the ground, no table except a small collapsible table that didn’t open, overall very industrial and cold, and we couldn’t sleep from the noise. The “restaurant” in the hotel is hardly a restaurant, it’s a bar with only bar food. We had the burgers (it was either that, pizza or pretzel bites), which were not fresh & severely over cooked. We both felt sick afterwards. To top off this horrible stay, we were charged an additional $40 “destination fee” whatever that is. If you like to be comfortable and cozy and want a good nights sleep, this is not the place for you.

Moxy is a minimalistic hotel with bare amenities and furnishing. Good location. Good staff and clean. Very loud music in the evenings on their main floor. Not much of a choice for breakfast and dinner, was rather disappointing.

Our 4 night stay was unexpectedly delightful. The Moxy offers a Great location to my surgery conference at Tufts and good walking distance to many theaters and music venues. Food is offered in a non traditional order then pickup system where you can eat a very nicely nicely prepped meal from a cardboard. They are very eco conscious at this property which appeals to us.
