Hilton Garden Inn Kalamazoo

We stayed one night. It it was convenient and the pool and gym area were nice.

Newer hotel in the area. I will be back. Problem was that pool was very cold and leanred heayer wasnt working.

The pool was closed, the ice machine did not work, hair in the bath tub.

This hotel is clean and has good amenities. It is secure with key card required for the elevator and street level entrance. It would be a real bonus if parking in the adjacent garage was included/validated by the hotel. It is not.

Awesome hotel! I slept like a baby in my very comfy bed! We enjoyed the hotel restaurant, the food was good, and our server ( Bree) was fantastic!! They had live music in the lobby, which was a super fun surprise! The desk staff, Maddy and Adam, were professional and friendly! Also for breakfast, Monica was attentive and super nice! Fantastic experience!! We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Good breakfast, luxurious sheets and nice mattress. The staff is friendly and the hotel was clean. The pool is a smaller one and they don’t have a hot tub but the outdoor lounge area has a fire pit and furnishings.

Staff was amazing! Overpriced for what you get. Paying for parking was a joke, had trouble getting in and out and the had free parking on the weekend on the street. Pay extra for a breakfast which is comparable most hotels that offer free breakfasts. Pool was very small and shared by 2 hotels.

We didn’t have breakfast but the grille did not have several items available during our stay. The internet was also out so our tv did not work either.

This hotel is very inconvenient to get in and out of. Park across the street, use your keycard to get into the skybridge, walk very far to get to the elevator, use your keycard to use the elevator, use your keycard to get in the room, use your keycard to turn on the lights. Other than those issues, it is a nice hotel. Staff is very friendly, great fitness room, and I like that they have a bar in the lobby.

Hair on the sink behind the faucet. white substance in the bathroom pocket door crevice at waist height. Not told about needing a card to use the entry door, the elevator, the electricity in the room. Wife sat in the dark while I got the bags and parked the car.

The walls in this hotel are paper thin. We were up half the night because we could hear the people in the room next to us talking & laughing. Called the desk multiple times during the night & they said they’d ask them to be quiet, every time I called & said I can still hear them, man at the desk got noticeably more and more annoyed with me. It was so loud that I originally thought it was people hanging out in the hallway but the man at the desk said security went up there & no one was in the hall. I can’t believe I could hear them that loud if they were in their room. They weren’t even like shouting or playing music, just talking loudly & laughing, sounded like they were maybe a little drunk having fun but not insanely rowdy. I just can’t believe how much we could hear them. It was like they were in our bathroom. I eventually gave up & complained at check out the next morning. Woman at the desk said that is a common complaint & there was nothing she could do to reimburse me since I booked through Expedia. I paid for an extra nice hotel for a relaxing evening away from the kids but would have gotten more sleep if I had stayed home. I’ve never been able to hear people in the room next to me like that in a hotel. Otherwise the hotel is really beautiful & comfortable. If we had quiet neighbors my experience would have been excellent, but they need to add more soundproofing.

Room did not have the view as advertised, almost no view at all.. had the delux king room andmit was extra small for thenprice and compared to a same priced room at the Radisson, location is great and.parking is good but their is a fee

Rooms were larger than expected

The hotel itself is great staff was great it was clean but if you get out on the 6th floor you only have two slits for windows I was very unhappy with that I would have loved to be able to look out and see the city! I felt like I was in jail!

Electrical outlets didn’t work. When I called to complain the manager asked me to open the circuit breaker to flip switches on and off. I thought that wasn’t the most professional thing that a hotel manager should ask a guest to do. There was a part of the wall panel that was not properly attached as well. My husband and I was on day 3 of the power outage, so we absolutely needed a few comforts. The fact that the Hilton Garden in Kalamazoo, Michigan was $306 instead of the normal weekend rates during a state of emergency was unethical. I will never stay or recommend this place.

The staff here was very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the AC in my room and they switched me to a functional room. They also handled crowded check-ins efficiently. I spent time in the bar and the staff was great there too. Lobby was a nice place to chill and wait for family members, and the guitars decorating the lobby as well as featured in the artwork in the rooms honors local heritage. Walking distance to many downtown Kalamazoo highlights. Bed was comfortable. Bedding and pillows could be better, but par for the course at this price point. Pool is small.

Enjoyed our stay, location was excellent, room very comfortable. Adam, at the front desk, was very helpful, recommending dining options and even finding an extra blanket for us. He is super friendly too! My husband and I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and should we return to Kalamazoo would consider staying with you again.

Good hotel. Clean, comfortable, easy (but pricy) parking, walking distance to restaurants, bars and a small mall, solid service (bartenders are fantastic). Front desk staff is hit or miss - some were great, a few were unfriendly bordering on surly.

Hotel was great, staff was super nice, area around the hotel seemed pretty run down. In it's defense I didnt have a lot of time to explorer so could have been better than my initial impressions.

Interesting property having been a Masonic Temple. Excellent use of space in room except bathroom too cramped at toilet/door. Ok food, excellent service at bar in lobby. Wine over priced.

Just Fine: A Balanced Stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Kalamazoo Downtown The Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Kalamazoo provided an adequate stay, hitting all the necessary marks without offering much in the way of memorable excitement. The Good: The room itself was generally clean, modern, and the bedding was comfortable—standard Hilton Garden Inn quality. I appreciated having the mini-fridge and microwave, which are always handy. The staff at the 24-hour front desk were always friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out, which certainly helps when you're on a schedule. The Alright: The amenities were fine. I was a bit disappointed that the breakfast was not free. While the food at the on-site Garden Grille was satisfactory. Room for Improvement: A few minor things prevented this from being a great stay. The room I received had double beds when I made reservations for a single King sized bed. The room overlooked the garage making the space feel darker than expected. Additionally, the parking fee of $20.00 dollars per night was a huge inconvenience.

Great hotel in a beautiful, historic building. Very clean. Because we booked through Expedia, we weren't allowed to have the breakfast that was being served. If you're paying to stay at a hotel that serves complimentary breakfast, why should you be excluded simply because you didn't book direct?

We stay here often. Maybe 6 times a year. We love the staff, especially Adam and Callie. The rooms are large and always clean. The restaurant food is delicious and perfect location to visit family and friends in the area and enjoy downtown Kalamazoo!

The room we were in was super large! The beds were great and the service was amazing! The bar was a bit overpriced for being a hotel bar, you do expect to pay more but our drinks were too expensive. $17 for a 16oz Bloody mary with limited toppings. However, it was tasty and the girl that was serving Bree was amazing!
