Excellent service at the hotel bar

They only have valet parking, which is $69 per day (with in/out capabilities). Regardless, I loved my stay and have no other negatives!

The hotel was very nice. The room we stayed in was pretty small for a king size, but it worked. The valet took 40min to bring our car which was headache.

Stayed several nights there while my wife was hospitalized post-surgery at Jefferson University Hospital (2 blocks away), then 2 more nights with my wife after she was released. Very comfortable room, friendly staff, great food in the restaurant, well-equipped fitness center—highly recommend the Canopy by Hilton!

Canopy is centrally located to everything you want to see in Philly. Staff is friendly and hotel bar and food is fantastic, you won't want to leave. We celebrated Juneteenth and Pride week with events at the Wayward that we weren't even intending to participate in. Just so much fun. Rooms and beds are very comfortable and even though the hotel is in the heart of the city it was very quiet at night. I won't stay anywhere else when I travel now!

Had a nice stay. Comfortable, well appointed room. Close to so many great food options. My only complaint is super hefty valet parking fee.

This hotel was modern and stylish with a location right in downtown Philadelphia. It is a short 3-block walk to Reading Terminal market and a 6-block walk to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. The hotel had interesting artwork throughout and was modern. The rooms are decently sized with Nespresso coffee makers in each and our room had a large bathroom and walk-in shower. The gym was modest but clean. There is a nice bar and restaurant on the first floor.

Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, central location, great beds (such comfy pillows!), really good little gym, complimentary bicycle hire, tasty restaurant... Will definitely stay here again any time I am in Philadelphia!

Appalling Stay at Hilton Canopy Downtown Philadelphia My recent stay at the Hilton Canopy Downtown Philadelphia from December 27th to 31st was an utterly appalling experience. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was inexcusable. Our initial room was filthy, with visible stains on the couch and a malfunctioning AC unit. After being forced to change rooms, we encountered roaches on two separate occasions. To add insult to injury, on our final night, the room was not cleaned at all. The gym was equally unsanitary. It lacked basic amenities like sanitary wipes, and the floor was constantly littered with trash and dirty towels. This, along with the roach sightings, raised serious concerns about the overall hygiene and maintenance of the hotel. To add insult to injury, after we reported the issues with our initial room, the hotel proceeded to place our family members in that same room without addressing the significant cleanliness concerns. This demonstrates a complete disregard for guest comfort and safety. The customer service we encountered was also unacceptable. When we politely requested two extra small towels, we were met with a dismissive and unhelpful response: "If you don't have the extra towels then we couldn't accommodate your request." The only positive aspect of our stay was the friendly and attentive service provided by the staff at the hotel bar and restaurant. I will not be staying at this hotel again and would strongly advise others to consider alternatives.

Hotel condition was very modern, clean and well maintained. The front desk staff were friendly, professional and always welcoming! We communicated a very minor repair just for awareness, and while we were out enjoying the city it was repaired… on a Sunday! Oh almost forgot a very important point, location, location, location everything is within a 20-30 minute walk. Great restaurants, historical sites and safe neighborhoods. When we return to Philly we will definitely stay at Canopy again!

Beautiful Hotel!!!!! Loved the Reading Terminal Market experience, the African American Museum, the energy, the prompt & caring staff. My experience was 100%….HOWEVER….when I pulled the comforter back my bedding had a weird gross damp stain :( had to change the sheets ourselves at 11pm.

Our stay was good but We found a pair of underwear in our room from a previous guest. Yuck!

This trip we stayed in 250$ a night locations and in 100$ a.n. locations, the most expensive one disappointed us the most. Canopy by Hilton. PHI. The fridge still had stuff and food (A SMELLY CHEESEPLATTER AND DRINKS) and the shower had hairs. Black ones (i'm a red head, partner is bold ) Would have expected this in a lower rated hotel, just not at the Hilton.

Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia Center City is aesthetically beautiful, with a modern and thoughtfully designed atmosphere. The location is excellent for what we needed to do. I appreciated being within walking distance of Reading Terminal Market, which made exploring the area convenient. Valet service was smooth and quicker than expected. Although I was told it could take up to 30 minutes, my car was brought around in under 10, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience fell short, especially for the price. At nearly $900 for a two-night stay, I expected more in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The room, while stylish, felt small and wasn’t as clean as it should have been. There was visible hair in the shower and on the soap bottles, which was disappointing. The design, though clearly intentional, just didn’t resonate with me in terms of comfort or functionality. The hotel also felt overly crowded during my stay, which made the common areas feel less relaxing. For the cost, I was hoping for a more elevated experience overall. In the end, while there were positives, like the location and valet service, the value just wasn’t there for me. I don’t believe the experience matched the price point, and I likely wouldn’t return at that rate.

House keeping is atrocious. We left the room around 9:00 AM and came back around 2:00 PM. Room was not cleaned. Called and someone came up later and handed us new towels. The next day, again, we came back @ around 2:00 PM - room not cleaned again... Weird thing is that someone came in the room and left 2 towels but again, did not pick up the old towels nor trash.

The property location was excellent. Friendly staff and cleanliness of the hotel was awesome. I would definitely book again.

The room size was good, comfortable king size bed and a great stand up shower.

Great hotel. Very clean with hospitable staff. Rooms are sizable. Only problem was the loud air conditioning. When it recalibrates, it’s so loud it’s like an airplane is taking off. Other than that, I wouldn’t mind staying in this hotel again.

Layout of the room was well-thought-out.

The hotel had a unique design and a great location. The walls were thin so we could hear our neighbors, and one of our pillows had a stain on it. Maid service replaced the pillows for us with no further issues. Staff was friendly.

It was in a very convenient location for all of the things we wanted to see. The room was small but comfortable. Just a note that the cooling system was loud if that bothers you. My husband, who needs white noise, thought it eas perfect, though (I always sleep with ear plugs so I was fine, too). Room was very clean. Would happily stay here again!

A very modern hotel beautifully decorated and maintained with quite large rooms for Philadelphia standards . It is close to Van Leeuwen ice cream shop which is a must trip and Chinatown where you can find real Peking Duck. But our room was on second floor and it was impossible to get any sleep due to some thumping music noise that went nonstop all night and could be heard even with ear plugs

It was just a great place. Staff was great. The room was adorable, and exactly like the pictures. Would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at hiltons before, but this wasn’t the best. The safety is good but I feel like where they lacked the most was the service. I only stayed for 2 nights and our toilet did not properly work and our 2nd shower head didn't even work. I waited hours after hours for housekeeping to the point where I said that I just needed towels. After 3-4 calls and hours later I got my towels. So service is poor for sure and just overcrowded in the lobby causing delays.

The staff went the extra mile to be friendly, helpful and welcoming. The front desk, the doorman, the house keeping and especially the bar tenders! Top notch!

Bartender ignored us when we tried to get a drink at a high top table across from the bar. No other waitperson came to us so we had to go up to bar, were ignored then finally got our drinks. Valet and front desk staff very friendly and helpful!

The easiest and smoothest valet and check-in /out experience I've had in while. Hotel was clean and comfortable and our room had a great view! Will definitely stay here again.

The Canopy by Hilton is a beautiful hotel, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, but for me it missed the mark when it came to service and comfort. I had the impression that they didn’t have enough staff at the front desk (it took repeated calls before someone would pick up), our room wasn’t ready when we arrived after check-in time and then a power outage delayed it even further (obviously not their fault). I did, however, sleep better than I’ve slept in weeks. Service at breakfast was excellent.

Sony was so friendly and helpful after American Airlines bumped my family and I from our flight to Milan, stranding us for 24 hours. Felicia was super gracious and empathetic, allowing us to wait in the lobby for three hours before returning to the airport. The bar staff sold us wine even after they closed and gave us free carafes of water for the room after our hellish ordeal. Thanks to everyone and I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!

Very convenient Center City location - about 15 min walk from Independence Hall & historic sites. Many restaurants & shops within 15 min walk. Near train stations, including easy access from Jefferson Station (Airport Train). Near TJ hospital.

This hotel is conveniently located between old city and Broad Street. It’s extremely walkable and easy to get to and from any restaurant or bar in Center City.

Hotel is conveniently located in Center City. It's a couple blocks from city hall, and a couple blocks from Reading Market and the Fashion District. There's a donut shop attached to the lobby, with a bagel place and brewpub across the street. It's about a 15 minute walk to Independence Hall/Liberty Bell, and the Museum of the American Revolution is another couple blocks east. Art Museum and Franklin Institute are walkable, but it's like 30-40 min, so we just drove. The hotel itself is great...very clean with a retro vibe. Not sure when it was built, but if I had to guess it's only a couple years old. All of the public spaces are in great shape. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great spot for a quick stay in Philly, well-designed with decent amenities on site and nice staff. The area isn't the greatest, but the immediate vicinity of the hotel is well kept and clean. Location is central with plenty to do in walking distance.

The hotel has an absolutely fantastic vibe and staff are professional, personable and just great to be around. You will not be disappointed with the hotel and staff. The area around the hotel… particularly the parking decks and cobblestone small streets are dirty, riddled with trash, and not well maintained

excellent hotel with really cool modern design, some Basquiat-inspired. Breakfast deal highly recommended. Although i did arrive before the opening time of 6.30, and was disappointed that the smoked salmon bagel wasn't available, and that someone who came quite some time after me got coffee and food first.

I always stay at this hotel when I am in town. I got married here in 2021 and have been amazed by the level of service here. Everyone is very nice and the Wayward attached to the hotel always has good food.

Negatives: Staff was not overly friendly. Valet/Bellstaff stood around and watched as your struggle with doors and luggage. Sat down to eat a donut at the bar in the morning and drink my coffee and was told I could not do that. I was the only one sitting at the bar of 15 seats at the time. Positives: Location and rooms are nice, breakfast place in hotel was very good.

Amazing hotel! Book it. In the heart of center city. Near all shops and food. You can take a nice walk anywhere. Great Staff! Exceptional customer service ! Hotel is clean and beautiful! Has a nice restaurant and bar. Even serves breakfast and brunch. Rooms are amazingly artistic with a little bit of vintage. Love that! Bed is so comfortable! Perfect for a staycation or solo trip, group trip. You can mingle with people in the lounge and bar!
