AWFUL parking. There is literally no where to pull in to valet. Got a ticket waiting 15 minutes for the valet to help us; so far the W is not addressing this. Was overbilled for room bar that was never used. Do not recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. The property is well designed & very well kept. Our room was beautiful with comfy bed, nice shower, & great robes. The pool was also great, however the entire process for getting a lounge chair was a mess. Besides people saving the very limited seats from early in the morning, they essentially give them up to people who look like them and ignore those who don’t, regardless of how long you’ve waiting. The other issue around organization is The Livingroom during the evening. First, the people who monitor the entrance are very rude. We asked about the different lines (one for SRO, one for seated) & then they proceeded to tell us all couches were reserved, despite the place being empty. When we told them we were hotel guests, they asked to see our key, but not name & room #. Finally, after standing in lobby for 10 minutes, they let us in. We then observed for about 2 hours the doormen turning people away (beautiful women & couples) or making those inside move off the sofas to keep seats empty. What could have been a very grown & sexy lounge space was marred by stifling rules & doormen running around harassing people, especially the light skinned one in the tight pants. People were arguing with them and calling managers instead of having a good time. By 1 am, they were letting in ruffians who looked a mess, and were stumbling & breaking glasses. That staff is clueless on how to run a door & messing with profits. Replace asap!

The Hotel Valet crashed my brand new Volvo and are refusing to pay for any repairs. I will never stay at another W and am so furious at the customer service. Also, The rear floor matts had a sticky substance as well as the rear seat.

Hotel and room were beautiful. Service at front desk was inconsistent - depends on the luck of the draw, some nicer/more helpful than others. Pool deck was overcrowded, people were one of top of the other in the pool and it was very noisy. We were unable to get a seat except in the “secret garden” which is shaded. This was a real disappointment as we picked the hotel for the roof deck/pool. Valet at check out was overwhelmed. It took 45 minutes (for some hotel guests in excess of 1 hour!) to get our cars.

My stay was pretty average, the lobby entryway is beautiful lots of space to sit, socialize, there's about 3 bars, & a restaurant which was pretty cool, the room itself, the layout was very nice however cleanliness was not good glass was NOT wiped, spills NOT cleaned, dust all over room, fingerprint all over room as well that was NOT wiped, & the rooms did NOT have robes, customer service was NOT immediate you did have to wait for assistance about 1/2hours, they do not prioritize your needs at all. I believe it was because it was the weekend & it was very busy, valet parking daily is $75 which is insane, & you pay $500/ a night and higher with no complimentary breakfast. The rooftop pool is pretty however should be bigger or they should build another one with the amount of guest the hotel holds. Also we had a huge leak in our room & waited about 45 minutes for an employee to attend to, the manager apologize and upgraded our room to a higher floor however i wasn't impressed at all because again a cleanliness problem. The prices for room service is extremely exaggerated and in case you do open any of thr drinks or snacks in the room the prices are quadruple which is horrible. Overall they can definitely do better. I will NOT return.

The properties location is not ideal, but it’s very nice. And the rooms were decent . Bathroom and sink had hair underneath the sink which I did not appreciate the rooms were not completely cleaned probably for faster turnover, housekeeping needs to do a better job. Front desk was very professional and courteous. The lounge was very nice as well with decent wine and late night snack overall good, I wished we would have cleaner bathrooms

Worst mattresses (and cheapest pillows/linens) I've ever slept on in a purported 4* hotel. No box springs (see photos of beds on those platform beds). Saggy lumpy mattresses. Particularly if you are one of those guests who values a comfortable night's sleep and great linens—or someone who is handicapped, elderly, or has other back problems—DO NOT stay here. The staff was kind enough, however, to send up a cot (for $350 per night!?!?!). The manager on duty that night confided that the mattress quality at the Element next door was MUCH BETTER. Beyond comfort of beds and linens... cleanliness. This is where the Philly fell from a 3.5 star rating to a 2.5 star rating in my view. The carpets in the suite in which I stayed were so STICKY that I had to wear socks all the time. And the couches were so STAINED with the evidence of previous guests that I had to drape everything in extra (scratchy) linens. (These stains varied in type: some looked like spilled coffee or similar dark liquids... others looked like bodily fluids.) In the opinion of this guest: do NOT stay at the W Philly!

We arrived at the W Hotel in Philadelphia with high expectations and paid to upgrade to a larger corner room on a high floor with a view. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The room was poorly maintained—key card barely worked, faucet handles were loose, towels and bathroom rug were worn, and there was visible wear throughout. The worst part: stepping into the shower and nearly getting burned, as only scalding hot water came out regardless of how I turned the handle. No one answered the phone, so I had to get dressed and go down to the front desk. I was eventually given another room—this time without a real bathroom door, just a curtain offering zero privacy. When I expressed my concern, I was met with rude, dismissive service. Thankfully, the manager got involved, apologized, and offered to move us back to our original room and refund the upgrade fee. We accepted. But even that room had long hairs in the shower—clearly not properly cleaned. The next day at 4 PM, the room still hadn’t been cleaned. We asked housekeeping to handle it within an hour and left. Two hours later, it was still untouched. Instead of resting before dinner, we had to sit in the lobby while it was cleaned. This is not what you’d expect from a hotel at this price point. I cannot recommend staying here—there are far better options in Philly for your money.

Cool corner room was really shabby. Fridge was medium temp, cracks in sink, light switches had never been cleaned, blood on the side table. Good thing I had clorox wipes. Door to room opens into bathroom, so bellhop literally standing in your bathroom to drop bags. Can’t use bathroom discreetly in morning bc lights turn whole room on. My husband and I are in our 40s and used to open concepts but this was a stretch too far. Lobby packed at night bc of nigh club. You are never getting through to the front desk. Only staying here bc of Philly Film Fest across the street.

Why my teenagers loved it, the nightclub atmosphere was not appealing. The entire property, including the bedroom, was quite dark. It was not worth the money considering when I could've stayed at the Ritz Carlton for a similar price.

This is a very small complaint but when we checked in there was only one person doing check in. Had to wait. The main reason we were dissatisfied with the room was the lack of sufficient room lighting and some outlets were not operational. Another issue was the room setup. You walk in and the bathroom vanity was directly on the left as you enter. I’m ok with that for small rooms in NYC, but did not expect that in a “W” Hotel. Finally, the entrance to the elevator lobby and the elevators were too dark

The property is in a great location. The rooms are designed poorly, placing fashion over function: 1) The walls of the room are painted a dark color adding shadows instead of light. 2) The lamp lighting is insufficient, with the focus being creating a mood rather than enabling clarity of vision. 3) The bathroom sink is shallow and positioned sideways on the countertop, and this poor design results in water splashing on anyone trying to use it. 4) There was no comfortable seating in the room, the "couch" was awkwardly close to the floor and had a hard cushion....because once again the concern was fashion over function. I had a premiumn room on a high floor with floor to ceiling windows with a corner view with a nice perspective of the city landscape.

Booked and charged for a king but given queen size bed. Charged erroneously for internet. Valet parking ridiculously expensive. Lights in bedroom and bathroom on same switch, so when spouse used bathroom during night all the bedroom lights go on when he turns on Bathroom light.

We we travelled with our daughter and had two rooms at the W in Philadelphia. They were not connecting rooms. The first day there we were waiting for our daughter to come meet us at our room across the hall. We got a frantic text from her because she was locked in her hotel room and could not get out. I went to call the front desk from our room telephone and it was not all connected. I called from my cell phone and the call was disconnected instead of being transferred over. I had to take the elevator down to the front desk to get help. Luckily the staff was good to work with and got her out. But they did mention that this had happened with this room before! In a fire or any kind of emergency in the hotel my daughter would have died. Absolutely unacceptable! As for the hotel, the bar was extremely loud at night, and set up for both people staying in the hotel and people coming in from outside. The rooms look wonderful, but were very dark even with all the lights turned on. The bad was low and soft. There didn’t seem to be a way to turn the lights on in the bathroom without turning them on in the main room, so it was pretty impossible for one person to sleep in while the other showed. Also, the shower did not have a door, which I don’t mind as long as the water stays in the shower area. But water splashed out onto the bathroom floor with each shower.

Everyone working the front desk should be reviewed for integrity. They gave a strange man a key to my room who entered at 2:30am. When I called downstairs to ask what happened the young lady fought with me until she hang up saying that he was authorized to be in my room, when in fact I had given no authorization to this man nor did I know him. She then lied to management about the details of our call and about what she had done. Obviously this was an unsafe situation and not something that should’ve been taken lightly. Management has yet to contact me regarding the issue.

Definitely do not recommend. They canceled my reservation even though I checked in with Expedia. Arrived and they said I needed to check in with Marriott and it was sold out. My entire team was there and the front desk was unempathetic. I had to stay with an employee. Otherwise, service was slow and failed to bring our extra pillows and blankets, lobby was unimpressive, and neighborhood felt unsafe. I am so disappointed.

When checking in the experience was not good! The attendant found it more important to stop and give guest checking in with someone else drinks and have a conversation while I waited. Additionally my parking was suppose to be included in my package and it is now on my credit card. The site says $60 but charged $75

We stayed here for one night after an Eagles game. It was close enough to not drive far. You’ll need to valet for parking unless you want to hunt for a spot. Since we were only there one night, we didn’t check out everything the hotel had to offer. Definitely next time! The hotel was very nice when we walked in. Check in was easy and the gentleman that helped us was super friendly. We put our bags in the room and headed to the bar for a couple drinks and some apps. The bar tender was friendly. The drinks and food were really good. The rooms are really modern and well decorated. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again if we’re in the area!! 10 out of 10!

A the Hotel stinks really bad. The workers pretend they dont smell it but all the guest say it smells like poop immediately in the whole lobby including the bar. I attempted to order room service my burger came with hair on it. The advertisement says indoor pool nope outside. everything was horrible. then no breakfast on mondays and the restaurant that is advertised was closed. Worst stay i ever had

I loved everything about the W. The room was super sleek and modern. The heated pool was amazing. Upon checking in, the receptionist offered us a free cocktail and was very friendly. The convenience to all the bars and restaurants was also very nice. My husband and I dined at Del Friscos and partied at Rec and Royal. There's also a DJ in the hotel lounge during the weekends. There's also a nice Italian restaurant in the hotel across from the lounge. Overall, I was super pleased with my stay. 5 stars!

Pool service was 10/10. Dolce was 10/10. Room was 10/10. Valet was 10/10. The staff was so helpful at all times. There are some cute spots to escape to around the property. The lobby is super super cool. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommend. Great location too.
