TownePlace Suites by Marriott Houston Hobby Airport

Pool doesn’t work. Was not communicated at any point in the numerous emails between hotels.com or the actual hotel. Was expensive for no reason. Breakfast was bland. Room was clean, staff nice enough. I booked room here explicitly for the outdoor pool. To not have it was stupid.

Great for 1 night stay before cruise

We normally stay at TownePlace Suites by Marriott everywhere we travel. We are always pleased with it, except for this time. The hotel was so dirty. We had a king suite room with a pull-out couch. However, we saw right away 2 active white creatures, and roaches running under the couch's pillows :-(. We asked for a changing room immediately. We went to a new room. There were no roaches, but under the couch there still was candy and something else there. Plus, the room was smelling of mildew from the carpet, which caused all my family to get allergies kicking in immediately. And also, it was a minor fact that no hair dryer was provided, like other hotels. We do not want to get any more trouble about asking for a changing room again. So, we were suffering for 3 nights. This was a lesson and I learned that NOT all Marriott Hotels are the best and I should do more research before renting Marriott Hotels :-( So sad that I am a member of Bonvoy Marriott Hotels too. Please consider hygiene and the environment for customers. Thank you.

Location and front desk staff

Staff was friendly, room was nice and clean and breakfast was good.
