I stay here regularly for business. Always comfortable and staff friendly & helpful. This time check in took far too long which was frustrating. Also a couple of machines in the gym were not working. At time of writing there is some refurbishment works going on.

Quick smooth check in, Carpark details were handed over. Make sure you enter the code rather than search. Had to use stairs because they were having a tough day with both lifts out of action. They were working when we got back later. Room was a delux double. Plenty buggy enough for us. Bathroom clean and this works toiletries. Kettle and tea making facilities in the room. Fridge. Safe. Small table and chair. Shower and bath in a long and thin bathroom. Worked well.

One of the lifts was out of order and had been in this state for at least 5 days. This left the hotel with one lift and being busy we were unable to access lift at busy times. On time if checkout it took us 5 attempts to use the lift as it was full every time

They don't tell you they charge £15 to use the spa, and you need to book it in advance. When the only 2 things going for it in my opinion are the spa and location, this felt needlessly cheap and irritating, particularly considering the room itself was not cheap..

We booked a panoranic suite, lovely light room, very spacious and clean. Would have been nice to have a couple of bottles of water and some snacks/biscuits in room. (In glass bottles? Eco friendly) We had access to the M lounge and took advantage of the free drinks and snacks in the evening (5 - 9) before heading out. Hubby did use it for breakfast the next day. Overall an enjoyable stay.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The bar area was a great place to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon. Cheap drinks and reasonably priced bar food which was lovely. Would visit the hotel again

the spa is poor....closes at 6 pm, infrared sauna not working, and you have to pay £15 to use it. Stayed in hotels all over the world and hotel guests paying to use spa, ie sauna and steam room, is a first for me! The spa is just a sauna and a steam room so I cant see how hotel guests have to pay £15....otherwise the hotel is ok

Room not particularly clean and missing facilities, bathroom mildew, TV remote didn’t work, MClub lounge poorly stocked and badly managed by a host who didn’t seem to care - no anticipation of when things would run out to restock, strange choices and when things did run out no replacement or alternative. For a hotel just having a refurb it wasn’t wowed, even the hallway carpets seemed dirty and not just the awful pattern that looked like stains

Good 4 night stay at this centrally located hotel with good parking facilities. Stay let down by long waits for lift (one lift had been out of order for weeks), high cost of breakfast, and lack of any room cleaning for entire stay (bin was emptied, but beds not made or changed at all etc).

Very close to Manchester Picadilly station, so you can easily walk to and from the station. Great bathroom with everything you would need but one of the towels I found was dirty unfortunately. Spacious room, very comfortable. Proximity to city hotspots.

Nice hotel overall, great service but bathroom and room had terrible sewage smell. More than just a bathroom smell, was unfortunately a sewage issue from the bathroom. Was manageable after a few minutes but not ideal for the price of the room. Apart from that can’t fault anything else, nice hotel and I’m sure other rooms do not have this issue.

The was Marriott chance to make up for the treble night I spent there before an early morning flight the next day. On arrival I was told that I had been allocated an executive room on the 8th floor which also gave me access to the M Lounge, to be honest when checking in I was so tired due to delayed flights/trains and also not feeling very well I didn’t take in what the receptionist was telling me. The room was spacious if a little dated and certain parts were not to the highest cleaning standards and - one of my pet hates, room service trays left outside both side of my room with food left on them, I hate this as it will attract all sorts of vermin. I tried to ring reception but as per my previous visit no one answered the phone so I mentioned it on my way out into town to pick up an order from a shop. When I got back it was still there and didn’t get collected till gone 1am, how can housekeeping staff miss this if the room has been serviced ready for my stay. I did venture into the M Lounge which was very nice with a wide selection of drinks and snacks and a very helpful young man in there to direct you. As I was feeling very unwell at this point I got some water and went back to my room. I have to give credit for the beds and pillows in the room, I sleep from about 9pm until awoken by housekeeping clearing the room service trays at approx 1am, however went back to sleep again and this time didn’t wake up until almost 10am, my breakfast was also in the M Lounge and was good

Fabulous hotel. 5 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly station and 12 minutes walk to Manchester Apollo. Room was spacious and spotless. Lovely comfy beds. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were lovely, allowed us to check in our room earlier. However, I did email the hotel prior to our stay to request a low floor room, as I am on crutches. Unfortunately we had been allocated a room on the 5th floor, which was disappointing. The WiFi was extremely difficult to connect and we had to go down to reception to ask for help. Bedrooms are dated, but large. Not keen on hard floor throughout and seems weird a Marrott hasn't got carpeted rooms. Instant coffee, really? Good power shower is the best thing, as I don't know why people prefer rain showers. Rooms were very clean and seemed well maintained. No sense of luxury you normally associate with this brand.

Got there to wait to be checked in due to what the member of staff called a 'system issue' after then watching him check in 3 more people whilst I waoted I wdnt back to the desk to be told sorry we will be with you shortly. Then a manager comes over and says theres been a problem with our room by housekeeping so we will offer you another room. Me my young son and wife then say oh ok can we look at the room firdt to which he says ok. Then the original colleague takes us up to the room where I suspicious already ask what the issue was, he says they over sold on the rooms and so ours was given away. Made us feel great and valued (not) I sarcastically thanked him for his honesty and asked why his manager could not find the decency to be honest and himself in the first place. Just got a token we are sorry. Not a great experience or start to our trip. Honesty is a good value to have.

Stay was ok but my air pods were stolen from my room. Management was polite and after two days it seemed like they didn’t care or believed me. I’m very upset and will never stay there or recommend this hotel This has never ever happened to me Very disappointed at Marriott management.

Not the best experience,we were given the wrong room apparently but this wasn't noticed until we had been there over 2 hours,we ordered room service which took over 2hrs and 2 trips to reception to chase.For the size of the hotel only 1lift was working and we were on 7th Floor

The hotel is located in an isolated area away from other large hotels, and there are no shops or restaurants nearby. The service is very poor, and the room and facilities are in poor condition. The housekeeping service is very poor, and on most days the room is not prepared for the next day until 4 or 5 p.m. The service staff lack knowledge of hygienic. I think the hotel needs high-level management. One of the hotel's lifts was out of order for several days (the hotel has only two lifts for guests), causing confusion and dissatisfaction among guests who had to wait several minutes for their turn to go up or down. It should also be noted that there are no staff assigned to the fitness centre, and sometimes you will find underage children with their parents playing on the equipment. My wife and I stayed at the hotel for eleven nights, and when I checked in, the reception staff refused to add my booking, which was made through my Expedia account, to my Marriott Bonvoy membership. They told me, ‘Next time, book your room through our website, as that is the only way to add your points to your membership.’

We have stayed at this hotel several times. Great location right next to Piccadilly station but a small walk if you’re heading into town. Rooms are big and comfortable with all the amenities you need. I would definitely recommend this place to other travellers.

Great location very near Piccadilly station. Modern and stylish rooms Bar prices are a little excessive but that’s hotels everywhere these days One piece of advice I would offer is that the Hotels car park road post code on sat nav’s is different to the entrance road entrance and due to the 1 way system and no right turns off after the A57 it’s difficult to locate. Hotel booking should make this clearer on its confirmations to guests and Expedia should reference this as well. Otherwise everything was fine.

The breakfast was very nice, however the vegetarian option was limited. There could have been mushrooms and vege sausages. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The spa facilities were fantastic and the staff were very polite and professional, would highly recommend them and would definitely be back to this hotel on my next visit to Manchester

Hôtel very convenient from railway station. Check in smooth and room was lovely: clean, well presented, good to have an ironing board, nice tv and great bathroom. Breakfast this morning was disappointing. Coffee and juice great. Fruit great. Choice great. Cooked food could be better: sausage, scrambled egg and bacon were all cold. The bacon was tough to cut as if it had been standing for some time. I informed the restaurant manager and the receptionist on my way out.

Hotel looked nice and breakfast was good but room wasn’t great. Tv didn’t work, bathroom sink was leaking and leaving a puddle on the floor, we had very loud people in the room next to us and woke us up at 3am both nights, room service was ok but slow and food quality wasn’t amazing for the very high price. Overall for the price we paid I wasn’t very impressed.
