Good: Comfortable bed, smart, friendly staff, lots of choice at breakfast. Bad: One of the lifts was broken two of the days so the other was snarled up at busy times. Toilet door jammed on my last day (but thankfully just as I was leaving so it wasn’t a big problem). Possibly some cheap workmanship.

Awesome staff, they really make the vibe of the place be as it should be. You will need to arrive a little early as parking could be an issue. Only 1EV charger with 2 ports (7.5KW Max), also those bays are not marked as EV only so its a bit pot luck if your needing an overnight juice up. Rooms clean and have a groovy feel, foyer / bar is right next to the canal so nice and senic :) My pint was surprisingly well priced for a hotel (£5.20), streight forward menu and a damd good breakfast made for a nice surprise. Dog friendly and the internet was snappy! 5 stars and would go there again without hesitation :)

Private party in the hotel with deafening music until 11pm. Everything a bit grubby and uncared for. The car park was closed due to building work. Scaffolding up the side of the building. Staff friendly enough but feels more like a hostel than a hotel.

The hotel was nice and in a great position, however coming home to a nightclub in the reception isn’t what we had planned for when coming back to the hotel after a long day. The music travelled through the walls and was loud even in the room. This partnered with the fire alarm waking us up early, wasn’t the the rest that we had hoped for.

Central for Chester and easy to walk to anywhere in the City centre. Lots of quirky features which made the hotel fun - pinball machine, games, bright seating, pool table etc. Great value for money and will definitely return.

Got informed by txt that car park had limited spaces, not as advertised. Then got a text saying car park closed in March, stay was September. Arrived to find no access to car park and no suitable parking to unload car and check in. Told by staff nearest car park was at the station. No staff volunteered to help with cases so had to cart they the 1/2 miles from the station up a difficult flight of stairs to cross a canal. Got to reception to find staff hunched over a phone giggling at something. No one helped. Staff seemed ill informed about building works and impact on parking. The place resembled a building site. Will not be back at this Marriott hotel! Experience spoiled our stay in Chester!

The hotel is immaculate. Fab decor nice rooms. The thing that let it down for me on my visit was the noise. 6.30am every morning I was woken up hearing booming music and Mr Motivator shouting in his exercises classes in the adjoining gym. The fire alarm also went off twice on the second of my 3 night stay, waking me up. There was also a large group of loud teenagers on a school/sport trip taking over the breakfast area. This was mentioned to reception on checkout and I was advise that the hotel regularly ask the adjoining gym to turn their music down and I was advise to book a double room on a higher floor if I stayed again

The room was not very clean unfortunately and the en-suite smelt of old urine! The bed was like a rock! The breakfast was fabulous for myself and my son after a very bad sleep, serving fresh fruit, cooked breakfast, cold meats & cheeses, yogurt etc.The accommodation was right next to a supermarket for convenience.

Great location, this modern hotel has a great vibe to it with friendly staff. Limited parking at the hotel so had to park off site. Walls above the bed were very dusty. Summer aircon was disabled and the therefore the room was really hot and uncomfortable.

We went for a quiet long weekend (Friday to Monday), and were allocated a room on 3rd floor overlooking the reception. At around 8.10am Saturday morning there was banging on the roof and a workmen’s lift going up and down all morning - impossible to sleep in. Complained to reception to be told they weren’t meant to start till 10.30am!!! (We were not warned at all) - they are repairing the roof on building next door. Sunday was ok but same on Monday morning! In addition, the room didn’t get cleaned all weekend - had to ask for fresh towels on Sunday evening as the ones in the room had been left for changing in the shower since Saturday morning! The room is very modern and may suit some, but there’s no wardrobe (just a hanging rail which appreciate is the ‘in thing’ atm), but there was no safe, no fridge, and surprisingly no draws! (We had to keep our underwear in a cases. Staff responded well to our issues to be fair, but generally a very poor experience overall and won’t be stopping again.

It was very hot in the room and the only way to reduce the temp was to open a window. It was then very noisy. The light under the bed was very annoying when staying with a dog - would benefit from being able to turn it off. Otherwise a very pleasant stay. Staff very friendly.

The room itself was nice but smallish. There was a comfortable bed and hair dryer which was great. No refrigerator for left overs or snacks from the grocery store (there is a grocery store next door). If you want the hotel breakfast, prepay for it or else you will be charged a lot for it. All in all, I'd recommend the Moxy.

Rooms were so quiet that we couldn’t hear people roaming the corridors as you normally get in hotels. The whole hotel was clean and tidy and only a ten minute walk into the centre of Chester plus just ten minute walk from the train station. When we return to Chester we will certainly look at coming back to this hotel

Staff really friendly and helpful, let us check in 3 hours early with no charge! Recieved a free welcome cocktail and an additional free drink for my birthday! Lovely modern hotel, nice rooms, very good powerful shower would definitely stay here again. Only negative is that you can’t change the aircon temperature in the room. It was set at 26 so had to have the window open for our entire stay

My stay in Moxy Chester was ok. I was unfortunately located on 1st floor right above the gym. The gym often puts reaallly loud music from 8am (sometimes as early as 6:30am) and I could hear the music beats resonating in my room as a background noise. It was at times very annoying when I was still trying to sleep. I would definitely request another room if I come back here.The other thing that I don't understand wih Moxy is that it tends to be a corporate hotel but they don't have proper chairs in the rooms. I don't understand the strategy of the hotel in that regards. If you have to work on your computer, it's very uncomfortable to sit on this stool for hours. In general, hotels suck at having "a normal table with a normal chair at the normal height", which I never understood. Other than that, I had a good time in Chester. The rest of the room was great. The staff was friendly.

Reception staff Ryan and Jack and the morning staff were very helpful.I was moved to another room because the tv was not working.I was also given a free breakfast.Thanks Bed was great. tv worked in new room. I do have to say though and it is possible covid nose is to blame but the last two times I have stayed at Moxy the bathrooms have smelt a little off.I am a totaly damp expert or plumbing attack dog so it might be worth looking at, but otherwise great.No offence.

All of the staff I spoke to were friendly and attentive, they helped me with queries and made the check in / check out process very easy. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was superb, well worth paying the extra for.

Top hotel and top staff. Well run and the staff couldn't do enough for you. For any request, the answer was always yes - and with a smile too. The attention to customer satisfaction and positive vibe made a huge difference to all other hotels that we've stayed in. So, having stayed in hundreds of varying hotels, this has to be the the best yet - this includes the exclusive ones we have stayed in too. Got informed by txt that car park had limited spaces, not as advertised. Then got a text saying car park closed in March, stay was September. Arrived to find no access to car park and no suitable parking to unload car and check in. Told by staff nearest car park was at the station. No staff volunteered to help with cases so had to cart they the 1/2 miles from the station up a difficult flight of stairs to cross a canal. Got to reception to find staff hunched over a phone giggling at something. No one helped. Staff seemed ill informed about building works and impact on parking. The place resembled a building site. Will not be back at this Marriott hotel! Experience spoiled our stay in Chester!

Rooms were so quiet that we couldn’t hear people roaming the corridors as you normally get in hotels. The whole hotel was clean and tidy and only a ten minute walk into the centre of Chester plus just ten minute walk from the train station. When we return to Chester we will certainly look at coming back to this hotel

The staff make this hotel fabulous. The lad working in reception was such a great guy and everyone we spoke with was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had, super fresh and tasty. The room was great and the decor was trendy. I would definitely recommend this hotel. 10 mins walk away from the centre but really quiet. When I come back to Chester I will book here.

All of the staff I spoke to were friendly and attentive, they helped me with queries and made the check in / check out process very easy. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was superb, well worth paying the extra for.

A fantastic 2 night stay. Bed and pillows were comfortable, however there were no drawers for underwear. Great menu selection so we had dinner in the hotel both nights which was really tasty. A really good impression of the hotel...good service, room was warm, comfortable and ideal for our nightly rate, trumped with a welcome cocktail and breakfast included. Breakfast was impressive and happy with the atmosphere......the only issue I have is with the slamming doors during the night.

Noisy and intrusive building/repair work in the floor above from 8am on Saturday and Sunday morning is completely unacceptable. Doesn’t make for a relaxing stay. Also, no proper air con to cool down an incredibly hot room “just open a window”. The “free cocktail” offered was vile.
