El aire acondicionado es muy debil en riempo de calor, el parqueo es problema, por unas pocas horas mas de veinte dolares nos cobraron en los alrededores, no hay aire acondicionado en otras instalaciones de la propiedad como recibidor, o comedores, o en estancias comunes. Esperaba mas por el precio

Unique boutique hotel in feet away from Columbus Park. Great bar and restaurant off lobby and bar / social club two blocks away. Beautiful historic building with interior courtyard. Small but quaint rooms. Overall lots of local charm.

Very nice stay! The hotel is just way too cute, if you like small coquette boutique properties. Their bar is cozy and intimate too. Location is perfect, walkable to where you want to be. Definitely going back.

Me gustó su fachada, el personal y el concepto, no me gusto que no hubiese aire xondicionado en lobby ni en bar al medio dia, solo en la habitación, el aire era de temperatura 23 grados, a pesar que decia 16 grados, los desayunos son a la carta, puros huevos al gusto con tostada jalea y mantequilla, un poco de fruta, la verdad fue poca variedad, y solo nos dieron 3 toallas por dia, eramos 5 en una habitacion doble. Estaban pintando las grafas y no habia aviso de pintura, mi hija se sentó y arruinó su pantalón. Esperaba mas.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The tv wasn’t working. Free Breakfast sucked!!!! They only had eggs available, that was the only choice. The staff were not all that friendly, with the exception of one gentleman, who’s name I don’t recall. But the location was perfect for zona colonial. Deff wouldn’t stay there again though. Oh and they don’t have elevator.

Parking is a nightmare....don bring your car.......but it was a great experience, great location, awsome staff and the restaurant is really good too...totally recommended.

We had a great stay at El Mosquito in Santo Domingo. Room was very clean, bed was comfy. The hotel is atmospheric with lots of plants and Caribbean vibe. Break fast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

The setting of the hotel is very nice but the room had a very unpleasant smell which I assume was caused my humidity and the shower didnt heat water properly.

El hotel es pequeño y acogedor pero para lo que cuesta no está a la altura. Las expectativas eran más altas ya que el precio por noche lo requería. Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, los baños tienen cosas rotas y la ducha no funciona bien y no tiene nada de presión. Para el agua caliente tienes que esperar un rato. Las habitaciones no tienen ventana y son muy pequeñas, si llevas una maleta grande, olvídate. Aunque el desayuno estaba bien, si querías más no podías. Deberían revisar el coste del hotel, si fuera menos costoso no tendrías esta reseña ya que podría justificarse.

The best place to stay for the money!! Clean and quaint! The foliage in the courtyard amd rooftop lounge area is beautiful. The food here is absolutely the best in the area! Hot water is a bit scarce. Beds are great!! we stayed for three days! Yesenia is the best!!

Positiv: - Sehr gute Lage, direkt im Zentrum und sehr sicher - Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit - Frühstück sehr lecker und gut angerichtet - wunderschöner grüner Innenhof (Frühstücksbereich) Negativ: - muffiges/modriges (stinkendes) Zimmer, was sich sehr feucht angefühlt hat. Der Bettbezug war damit auch sehr klamm und etwas muffig. Ein Zimmerwechsel wurde angeboten, hat nichts gebracht, da das zweite Zimmer ebenfalls muffig war. Wir waren jedoch nur eine Nacht dort.

Habitaciones muy incomodas, pequenas, bano no aseado, sabanas muy usadas, solo una persona para el servicio al cliente y todo lo demas, subimos hasta un tercerpiso cargando nosotros mismo la maleta, no tienen parqueo

Great hotel To stay in the middle of the city! The area feels safe, although be aware of locals trying to sell you at every corner. Property is old but well maintained, though floor tiles are broke so hopefully it’s fixed in the future. Staff went above and beyond in terms of customer service, specially front desk, Yesenia! She made our short stay very pleasant. Will definitely stay again.

We truly enjoyed our stay here, very clean and staff was very friendly. Felt very zen here with all the plants, very aesthetically pleasing. Breakfast is free and it was delicious. Great location with lots of things to do in the Zona Colonial.

Lucila was amazing!! She was very helpful and nice. Hotel is very cozy and nice, only suggestion I would give is to chance the pillows which were very hard and unpleasant. Location is geat!

We stayed at Mosquito for 3 weekend nights in April. The location cannot be beat. Walkable to everything in the Colonial Zone. Very quiet since we stayed in a room in the back of the hotel. Only a few rooms face the street. Our room (Standard Double) was TINY. Just enough room for a bed, a comfortable chair, and a good-sized open closet. But we did not spend much time in the room except to sleep and change clothes. Powerful air conditioning. The shower had plenty of hot water and high-end toiletries. Breakfast in the charming tropical courtyard. The free options were great (egg dishes, toast, juice & fruit). For extra charge you could get special dishes like breakfast burrito or avocado toast. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bar area was lively at night but we chose to head away from the hotel for evening activities. Very safe area since tourist-friendly and well patrolled.

We loved our stay. If there was any take away, it would be the noise level during the night and early morning (but our room was on the street side) it really did not bother me because I love to feel the Dominican vibe! Lol . Highly recommend the Dominican breakfast!!!

El hotel es muy lindo, está en una de las mejores áreas de la Zona Colonial. Mi queja es que me asignaron una habitación justo al lado de la escalera y hubo mucho ruido desde temprano en la mañana que no me dejó descansar.

Overall, this hotel is a little oasis. The downside is our room is small and feels extra small because the windows are covered in decorative film (for privacy) but that means you cannot see out of them at all so it feels a little claustrophobic. But other than that, the hotel is lovely, the staff is great and the restaurant is outstanding. Plus the location has us feeling like locals even though we are in a tourist area. That is a big bonus. Very happy with our stay and will come back again.

I liked the convenient (although partially rundown ) location in the 16th century town and the charming, original decoration of the common areas. But the rooms are really tiny and dark like little caves. We could not unpack our small suit cases, because there is very little room for clothing to be hung or shelved. Nearly all the rooms look out onto the patio, in which the restaurant for all three meals is located. So all the noises of the patio, starting at seven in the morning, go up to the rooms. The doors of the rooms do not even close completely there is about a 6 mm opening between the two wings of the doors.

Mosquito Boutique Hotel is well located and preserved, the staff takes good care of the guests and they have delicious breakfasts.

The 5 stars to this property is definitively to the staff and the Boutique style of the property. We had a problem passing our card in Hotel Gran Europa and their staff never worried about us at all.. I had to walk with my bagage towards Mosquito Hotel, the card didn't pass due to an error with the company that process the paymens "Azul" but the Mosquito staff walked us to our room, let us check other options and we ended up paying with no problem after the link issue was solved. The staff really cared about us and offered us a way to solve the issue. Big thanks to the staff, and their constant follow up on our stay, for telling us where to go and helping us all the way until the last day of our stay. I will come back just because of them. This place should be on the TOP 5 for Santo Domingo.

We arrived in the middle of the night bet 4-5 am and the gentleman at the front desk was diligent and polite. Thank goodness they have a great crew serving at the bar and the breakfast area, they are amazing, respectful and welcoming in every aspect. WARNING Stay away from the manager she’s the worst attitude and this is why- We made a reservation at the bar area for family and friends(group of 7). After me and my wife sat down at the designated area reserved, the manager came over and asked us in a very rude way to get up because she had that area already reserved to someone else even after she was told by her staff that we had made that reservation since early in the day. She then engage in an argument with my wife and was super rude to us for the rest of the afternoon to the point we had to ask for the check and took our group of 7 business somewhere else. The owner should re evaluate the manager capabilities to manage this place. SHAME ON HER.

Cuando realise la reserva no me di cuenta que no tiene parqueo ,llegue mi primera vez a la parte historica de santo domingo ,estaba estresado por no conseguir parqueo ,finalmente me estacione y fue a preguntar en front desk donde podia estacionarme,me atendió una chica sin ganas con un tono de desden como si me estuviera haciendo un favor cuando yo eleji gastar mi dinero en este hotel habiendo mas posibilidades, me dijo de forma desganada hay dos paqueo que tienes que pagar uno cercs de aqui el otro a dos cuadras de aqui ,no le dio un mapa no me explico ,no me dio la bienvenida tan siquiera con agua ,el lobby y areas comunes muy pero muy calientes pues no estan climatisadas ,so no es un hotel que te da buena bienvenida,solo cuando le peegunte si estsba enojada ,cambio su aptitud ,la habitación estaba caliente porque esperan hasta que el cliente lleguepara darte la habitación como un horno ,extremadamente chica ,estariamos solo una noche partiriamos temprano para el aeropuerto, por poco nos caemos no luz en todo el lobby nadie absolutamente nadie que nos dijera como hacer elncheck out ,please les estoy diciendo mi verdad ,jamas volveria me senti maltratado y mal recibido ,mi esposa y yo celebrasmosnuestro 9 aniversario, lamentamos haber escojido este hotel.

The staff is excellent and the property is charming. I stay here whenever I need a nice place to work remotely, rest and have a good breakfast (the coffee is really good)

Mosquito is ideally located in Zona Colonial which gives easy access to most major cultural sites, dining and related activities. Most important though was the friendliness of staff, especially Lucilla.

Increíble ubicación en el casco viejo. Todo queda a pie. La habitación pequeña en una casa antigua muy bonita. Buen desayuno.

Beautiful hotel and perfect location.

The Location was excellent for the Colonial Zone. Parking we used the Municiple Parking. Not supper easy, but we did not speak spanish either which did not help. Eventually we got the car parked and everyone was nice. The staff at the Mosquito was amazing and happy to help. room was nice. The location was a huge deal. we were just down the street from everything which made our experience Fantastic!!

This hotel is lovely, full of character, and the location is amazing. My family (2 kids, wife, I) and I greatly enjoyed our stay in our family room with loft and balcony. The building itself is now my inspiration for retirement, it's gorgeous, I want to own it or something exactly like it. Coffee on our room patio and the minimal but delicious breakfast in the courtyard was truly enjoyable. The staff was helpful without being too involved, though speaking some Spanish definitely helps if you are staying here. Overall I'd welcome a chance to stay again, loved it.

Todo excelente. Solo que tenía el desayuno incluído. Ellos te dicen que te corresponde de desayuno y solo es la porción que ellos te dan, pero en caso de no querer lo que tienen agendado para ese día pues no tienes otra opción que pagar por alguna otra que se desee.

This hotel is in the heart of the Colonial Zone and accesses all the historic attractions easily. The rooms are adequate but not a 5-star because the building tries to respect the architecture inside without disturbing its colonial essence. The bar is very nice and the appetizers were very good.

Beautiful hotel with an elegant but comfy bohemian vibe. Staff was extremely helpful and offered many recommendations during our stay. Free water was very appreciated, and the free breakfast was extraordinary.

The service was impeccable and the location is great but the rooms themselves left much to be desired. It was small, did not have a closet, and smelled humid. Our room was on the first floor directly next to where breakfast is served and where patrons can hang out. It was impossible to sleep with the constant conversations happening 3 feet away from our room. The included breakfast was also only ONE plate from their menu every single day and the repetition had us finding alternate breakfast options. The food in general (outside of breakfast) was hit or miss as we ordered the same items on different days and there were clear differences in taste and quality. The bar served good drinks and had a fun atmosphere.
