I stay here once a month. I have stayed at 5-star, 4-star, 3-star, and no-star hotels. I give this hotel a solid 4-star. The front staff housekeeping (Leah is great! I think they do a great job. All are Megan, Tara...) They will give you that extra blanket!! Both managers are easy to talk to and help you with your needs. I think the front desk is genuinely caring, and I would like to see them take the lead and offer anyone there who needs something...to show that. I think the breakfast is excellent. However, some items, such as the bagels, could be fresher. Also, keep up with the hot items right until breakfast is over. The gym is excellent. If I stay there, I always like the upper floors because I like my blinds open to let the light in. Safe parking. It is a safe area with a mall, restaurants, and much to do in Duluth. Talking to the staff here, there are so many naturals, and some need to understand...this is your job, it is hospitality, you work at a great hotel!! Also, it's December, and there should be a Christmas tree in the lobby!!!! Christmas is HUGE! Getting some staff to help and putting that effort in has to be made for me to give this hotel. The hotel is modern and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple, but pretty good. The biggest problem is that the swimming pool is tiny, and the pool room is unbearably noisy when it's full of screaming kids.

The area is very accessible and a little bit out of the way from the congested Canal Street area. It is also near a shopping mall and restaurants. The pool is a little bit small, but still fun for kids; missed having a hot tub a bit though!

It was just perfect. Lovely design felt Comfortable and pleasant. Staff was excellent. Dining room welcoming, room large and comfortable. The pool, while small, was just right! We travel often and seldom find a spot that hits all the notes. This is it, or new Duluth favorite!

Upon check in, everything seemed fine; however upon entry of our room; we had a huge hiccup. Booking through the Expedia site gave us the incorrect room compared to the hotels listings. We had 5 guests and only 2 beds, no sofa sleeper as indicated through Expedia site. The General Manager was apologetic and indicated this continues to be an error in Expedia’s site; however immediately began to search for options for us despite being very busy. With 3 adults and 2 children the GM gave us several options to choose from including booking us a second room for a severely discounted rate. In the end, I am very pleased with our stay and the service provided by their staff. My only issue was the pool size. It is very small and has a maximum capacity listed of 17 people. Other than that, great stay!!!!

Great fresh clean well kept hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast included a good selection with a staff that made sure things was kept clean and fresh. They even came around to take your plate and provided more coffee. Above and beyond, we enjoyed our stay I think you would too…

This is a new and modern property, it was our second time staying here. The lobby is bright and welcoming, all staff encountered very friendly as well. However this experience fell short of our expectations, the room while nicely appointed could have been cleaner, there were hairs on the floor in the bathroom and in the shower. The air conditioning unit in the room was extremely loud and woke us up during the night, plus the walls were thin, lots of road noise. The section we were in was under repair with no wallpaper, they were working on this in the morning, thankfully we were up already but if we were sleeping in the sound would have woken us up.

There was a sticky smear on a large portion of the bathroom floor, but otherwise the room was clean. No trash liners in the trash cans, but they were clean and neatly stacked together. Beds were not overly comfortable, but we are in our 60's and have adjustable beds at home so we're spoiled. Breakfast was good on weekdays, but it wasn't ready on time on Saturday when we wanted a real quick bite and coffee with plans to be on the road early. (A new person was being trained) Overall, a good stay though.

This was a great disappointment. The couch and one double bed had the strong smell of old urine. This was noted when I was already in bed or I would have changed rooms. Staff was very good to excellent. Very responsive and pleasant. breakfast was mediocre.

This hotel was great. The room was clean and nice. My only gripes are that the beds were SO uncomfortable (they were very firm) and the air was SO dry in the room that none of us slept well. The breakfast was not well stocked (no bacon or sausage out), but we made do.

We had a room right off the kitchen and several things got very loud coming from the hallway (carts on the tile floor, etc). There was nothing they could do to fix that, but we found if we ran the fan in our room it covered most of it. Staff were very friendly and everything was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful,clean esthetics. Large,varied breakfast options, and delightful staff! Negatives: loud noise from upstairs neighbors,the oatmeal was not cooled(which i learned later had run out and they just had put out and needed time to cook....a ready in x minutes wouldve been nice warning. ..and our bed was very uncomfortable. I understand we were in a handicap room and the mattress was on a solis platform vs boxspring...but my back is still sore 2days later. I would stay here again...i would just make sure my accomodations were different.

Beautiful room and hotel! Only two problems—the sink drain was clogged so that was a hassle. And when we turned on our local NBC station for news at 10p the hotel TV system wouldn’t give it to us. That’s kind of a problem since the station transmitter tower is like three miles away. Not OK.

We found easy checkin, very good service, friendly and responsive staff (Daniel, Conner, Nic and Jenny were helpful to us). We got the room we requested (quiet, specific floor). We enjoyed the gluten free options at breakfast and the workout room. The main reason this hotel is our favorite for our regular trips to Duluth is that the manager, Daniel, is hard working, friendly and communicative. He is the best!!

I was told that I was going to get a discount for the unexpected hustle, instead I got charged an extra $20 for I don’t know what reason, will not come back to this hotel.

The staff at this place was probably the best service I have seen at a hotel. Everyone was so kind. I was blown away at the gal working the breakfast. I have never had such attention at a hotel complementary breakfast! Everything was clean, new and very comfortable. Only thing I would change is that they didn't have lotion in the bathroom.

It was very clean, and the staff was really kind. We were traveling with small children and more than one housekeeper interacted with them (and us)… so nice. The breakfast was-we all agreed- the best we’ve had at a hotel/continental set up. We left a blanket behind and the staff was kind to hold it for us until we could come get it a couple days later.

The state was good. However, when we arrived, we did not have any towels in our room. I called the front desk, and it took a while, but they finally brought them to the room. And I was disappointed in the breakfast, because I was hoping for some waffles, like I saw in the picture online when I was booking the hotel. I was not happy with the selection of breakfast food. One of the main reasons we book theirs because we enjoy waffles and we saw the picture with waffles and we were greatly disappointed when there weren’t any in the morning. However, the staff was nice in the bed was comfortable.
