Bavarian Cabin @ HomeAway Ranch & Noah Animal Sanctuary

The hosts, Vicky and Micky were very welcoming.

The listing while kind of accurate was misleading. The "outdoor grill" is a rusted out charcoal grill with no charcoal available. We had to buy a lighter for the gas stove in the kitchen since there was no power for the igniter and the oven did not work. The hosts did not have one. They did offer to reimburse us. The private heated pool is at the home of the hosts. It was uncomfortable to have the host coming in and out of the house while we were in the swim spa, not pool. No DVD player or games as advertised. Could not find the fenced yard.

My fiancé, myself and our 3 pups stayed in the wildflowers cabin for a month. It was such an experience since I’m a city girl. It’s close to Boerne but far enough away to have the quiet county air at night. We took the pups on walks, played with the goats, loved seeing all the animals on a daily basis. It was truly a great stay and would definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bavarian Cottage @ Home Away Ranch. Enjoyed watching all of the animals but especially the little piggy and the goats that came to visit us daily. The Bavarian Cottage has an amazing deck to enjoy and great view of the horses and playground. Hosts Micky and Vicky were great and sent us a text upon our arrival to see if we needed anything and were very responsive. We stayed here while visiting family in San Antonio and we will definitely stay again during future visits!

Our stay was shorter than intended due to requirements we overlooked in researching our travel needs for my mother who has limited mobility issues. Nonetheless, we were quite pleased with the place and especially with our hosts. Bonus- my daughter enjoyed hanging outside on the swing set and saying hello to the friendly animals.She wanted to stay longer..
