Downtown Savannah Oasis 6 beds 3 baths

The house was beautiful. We did have some issues with the sheets but the owners/caretakers were very quick to take care of any issues we had. I will say parking can be an issue and the double parking in the back is not really double parking. It really only fits one car. The lower patio area is a bit overgrown it could use some attention compared to others nearby. For the most part we were very happy with the house and would recommend.

This home is in a great walkable neighborhood. Our family was able to spread out a little with the room locations and the porches are great. We didn't have any loud neighbors and the street traffic seemed pretty quiet. We walked to Publix at least once a day and passed the cafe/bakery on the corner. Forsyth Park was also an easy walk. We chose to drive to River St and amenities in that area but it was just a few minutes. The kitchen was stocked with basics like pots and pans, coffee, and a coffee pot. Check in was simple and thankfully it was no trouble for us arriving at 10 pm after an 18 hour drive. We never had to ask the host for anything but based on their couple check ins I'm sure they would've been readily available to handle anything.

The property was clean and easy to find. It was in a great location. Be sure to pay attention to the signs on the street that tell you nights when you can’t park on certain sides of the street. There are steep stairs you have to get your suitcases up to get to the living quarters. We were missing some hand soap, dishwasher soa. P.

Our group walked to the park, restaurants and most places we visited. The neighborhood is quiet, and it was nice to have one assigned parking space and available street parking. Other positives include the interior artwork; nice towels; a well stocked kitchen; shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower dispensers; and other supplies provided. The host communicated well and was very responsive when we experienced one issue (a leak).Future guests should be aware that the stairs to the second floor (living area and two bedrooms) and especially the stairs to the 3rd floor (two bedrooms) would be very challenging for anyone with mobility issues - and require some strength to haul luggage up and down.A few areas could have been cleaner, and the sofas in the living room could be more comfortable. Overall, our group would rate the stay as a 4.5.

The location was perfect. Grocery store two blocks down. Beautiful park within walking distance, and an overall great location. House was beautiful and well furnished. The onl downside was the cleanliness of the outdoor areas. The back yard was unusable, and the grill on the balcony was dirty. We would book again.

Ok so this property is in a great location if you are wanting to visit historic Savannah. You can walk to many places and driving is pretty easy to all of the others. There is a grocery store close by which was also very convenient. Communication with the property manager was excellent. We had an issue with the AC upstairs and it was fixed in the time we were out at dinner. We only had one slight issue. The parking is absolutely not for 2 cars. It is a tiny spot that one compact car pretty much fills. There was street parking on the other side which was usually not a big deal though. Overall a great Savannah property close to everything.

We had a retired cousins trip to Savannah….the house was perfect as we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The house is as pictured, very nice. We parked in front of the house with no problem. We walked to Krogers for supplies, and walked to Forsyth Park for breakfast on the patio(was very good). Our first night we made the short drive to Treylor Pizza Party for great food and overall experience. We walked to the Trolley Tour stop near Forsyth for our tour of the city thus avoiding the parking near River Street. Communication with David was awesome with great instructions….I highly recommend this house!

We had a great stay! We had a little difficulty getting in the door but they were incredibly responsive and called to help us out right away! There was tons of room for our 3 teenagers to have their own space and the deck off the kitchen was big...great entertaining area to have a few friends over to cook out. The grill worked wonderfully!

This was a nice comfortable property for our stay. Very clean and spacious. It was walking distance to several things, and very close to everything we needed. We really enjoyed the porches in the evenings.

Communication with host was great. Upon arrival, was greeted by a used mattress on the curb, which moved to the back dumpster the next day, slightly disheartening. House itself was cute while keeping its original charm. Back outdoor sitting area was far from cozy. Not very inviting with overgrown weeds, questionable furniture and more stacks of garbage beyond the back fence by our parking spot. We were okay with it, but a long flight of stairs to access rental, the 2nd and 3rd floors of this home. Amazing bakery/coffee shop just down the block.

Great location! Loved the bakery cafe right on the corner, Kroger across the street, even urgent care was only a couple blocks away (had to get some medical help, unfortunately), and of course Forsyth park! Loved the architectural details and unique floor plan, loved the number of beds in this house. However, the property seems unkempt. Master bedroom doesn’t have a lock. There’s one part of the lock, but not the other, and so it’s impossible to lock the door. One lamp stand in the master has no light bulb. In some bathrooms the paint is peeling off, the backsplash (which is only paint) is dirty. One bathroom didn’t have any hand soap- we ended up bringing the soap from the kitchen sink. The soap provided is the most basic kind in the plastic bottles- it did not fit the aesthetic of the house. Some of the dining room chairs were stained. Some blinds had no handle to rotate them open, so we were unable to let the natural light in. In the kitchen- a side of the countertop has peeled off almost completely. The garbage can has no lid. The pull out faucet needs to be adjusted- it sort of hangs there, instead of sitting nicely in place. There are no mixing bowls of any kind- for salad or baking, even though there’s a whisk, measuring cups and salad tongs. There was a set of dishes in the cupboard that were sticky and dirty. Our biggest disappointment- the water stopper in the tub was not working. We had a younger child who had to go unwashed because of this.

Property was good, definitely historic. The kids didn’t Want to stay upstairs alone - we all slept on the 2nd (main) floor. There was a razor cap/shield and some dust/hair left on a shelf in the shower, so clearly that wasn’t cleaned well. Otherwise it seemed good!

Were in town to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary with our family. . Had a great time and the rental was fantastic . Very clean and attractive . Would stay again .

If you are looking for an old creaky floors and doors with lots of character home, this is your place. The location was great with a cute coffee shop just steps away and a Kroger grocery store right around the corner.The bathrooms were extremely clean, which was very nice, but the kitchen was not. The toaster didn't work. We had to hold the button down to use it. When making breakfast, I pulled out a couple pans from the cupboard that still had eggs on it. The rugs in the living area and bedrooms were filthy.Our overall stay was good, they just need to pay attention to some of the finer details.

Location is great, street is cute. House had lots of beds which is great if you are having lots of people. The twin beds are very uncomfortable though. They should be upgraded. We slept in king bed downstairs and that was very comfortable. Curtains in that room are very dirty and need to be cleaned. Freezer wasn’t working properly so there was no ice, but property manager brought us two bags which was very nice of them.

There are two sets of stairs one set is quite narrow and has no handrails. These steps lead to two bedrooms which are actually in the attic. Older people will not be able to use these stairs. It is quite a few steps up from ground level to the main level of this unit. Taking out the trash is a trip hazard nightmare. The unit is older and has some modern features particularly the kitchen and bathrooms. There is a terrace adjacent to the kitchen with chairs and a table that seats 10 people. This is in a neighborhood that is in transition. Th e unit is not as nice as it appears online.

Can’t stress how perfect this place is! The bed in the master bedroom was so comfy! The teens loved the third floor area. I’m ready to move in and make it my home! Will definitely come back to this one!

This house is within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores and enjoyed Savannah. The pictures of the rooms have different furniture and don’t look the same. Couches were so very uncomfortable. Only 5 toilet paper rolls for 6 people the whole week. Had to get our own. No kitchen towels or potholders. Toaster didn’t work properly. Soap and shampoo were in gallon jugs and not dispensers so bring your own. The furniture on both balconies were a little “tired” looking. This house has lots of stairs if you are in unit B. We also never saw a garage (as stated in the description). Loved the location and the beauty of the 100 year old house though. Plenty of room for a large family to stay there. Savannah is a beautiful city!

We enjoyed our stay here in Savannah. It was an amazing way to bring in the new year and the tea shop was icing on the cake being a short walk from the property. The host was very hospitable and checked in to make sure everything was up to par as well. We will definitely be back!

The house was beautiful! This was my first VRBO stay and it was a very simple process! The owners were great, very easy to communicate with, and provided great advice on places to visit and eat at during our stay. There is also a great little coffee shop two doors away! We would definitely recommend this house to anyone!

This house was the quintessential Savannah home! Upon booking, we were most drawn to the beautiful exterior, interior, and outdoor spaces! The home provided plenty of room with plenty of beds and bathrooms for our group. We loved the upgraded decor and especially loved coming back to the beautiful porch each day. The neighbor was safe for walking and only two blocks from the park. There's a cute and delicious cafe only a few doors down that serves wholesome treats and the most delicious tea! There is also a Kroger right next to the coffee shop which was so convenient! Overall, very pleasant stay!

The location was walkable to many sites. Everything was very clean. Communication was good and the apartment was very spacious.

Perfect location in historic district. Easy walk to beautiful Forsyth Park and to shuttle stops for a free ride down to River for shopping and eating. A grocery less than two small blocks away. Plenty of room for 8+. It was super hot but the air conditioning kept up with the heat - even on the third floor! If you love and appreciate historic homes, you should stay here. Highly recommend.
