This is the coziest little cottage on the shores of Lake Superior. The views are spectacular from the patio, deck, and fire pit area. This was perfect for our family of four. The house sits closer to the shore than the neighboring Gales and as a result the views are even more spectacular. Our kids said the sleeper sofa was very comfy. Highly recommended for families of 3-4 that can fit into this space.

So many wonderful, upgraded amenities. A snack tray to satisfy your sweet and salty cravings. Lake Superior right out the patio doors. Comfortable furniture on the deck and in the yard to sit and relax. Host, Tabitha, was very helpful. Everything is well thought out to make your stay perfect. We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. Well done, Carriage House!

This house was the absolute perfect spot to spend our anniversary at. Everything was spotlessly clean, meticulously cared for and thought out. The kitchen had literally every cooking item one could ask for, wonderful full size appliances, plus all the little things such as napkins, cleaning supplies, etc. The bathrooms had soft and fluffy towels and speaking of soft we didn't want to leave that bed - it was so comfortable. There were blankets everything for sitting and watching the lake. Outside you get an upper deck, lower patio, plus a fire pit area. Just a block and a half from a grocery store, plenty of local restaurants to eat at are just a short drive away, and the North Shore drive starts almost right outside the front door. To summarize: we fell in love with the cottage and Duluth and can't wait to come back and stay here again! I don't think I'm describing how absolutely perfect and gorgeous this house is! Come and stay and you'll enjoy every second.

The property was exactly as presented. Loved the view and the outside spaces. Easy access to driving north along the shoreline. Was able to walk/run on the local trail only 2 blocks away. Clean and had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing weekend.

The home is very well appointed. Everything you need for a stay is available. The favorite part may have been the deck off the first floor. Great view of the lake. Perfect size for 3 people. Excellent location to go downtown as well as points north.

We enjoyed the location of this property immensely and were surprised that a grocery store was even within walking distance. The interior decor was cozy and beautiful. The outside seating areas were wonderful to use (even in late March). The parking area was good sized for this property. Tabitha was friendly and great to communicate with!

Our family had a great time at the Carriage House! The location was unbeatable, and the lake views were stunning each day (and night). We especially liked sitting on the deck overlooking the water - it really felt like a private retreat. We will definitely look to stay here again no matter the season!

This little house is a gem - we loved everything about it. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need without feeling cluttered. You cannot find a better lake view anywhere. The host was very responsive and we were even able to check in a bit early. Sadly it was windy and rainy for our entire stay, but we just got cozy by the fireplace and read our books and just enjoyed the view. (a big thank you to the cleaning staff - the house was spotless)! thank you

This is the 3rd time we stayed here & I look forward to staying here everytime. Tabitha is responsive and wonderful. The home is immaculate, cozy & close enough to town to grab a few items or dinner. We absolutely love waking up to lake Superior. 😍 If you're looking for a weekend or romantic getaway this is the perfect spot!

We couldn’t wait to stay at the Carriage House and it did not disappoint! Clean, well stocked, everything felt fresh and new. The decor is lovely, the sofa and bed is comfortable and the two levels of outdoor seating made it easy to enjoy the breathtaking view of Lake Superior. We can’t wait to visit again! The 3 story renovation was beautiful along with the setting on the water and great outdoor spaces. The king bed had a pillow top but sat on a wooden frame that needs replacing with a spring but might be difficult due to the slanted ceiling. The keurig coffee was a nice extra. Close to Lester park. A marker to find the driveway would help since house is tucked back.

We loved our stay at the Carriage House. One can tell that everything was thoughtfully decorated and appointed. The amenities were fabulous and I really appreciated the decaf coffee pods! The kitchen was nicely stocked and ready for cooking. The bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean. The bathrobes were a nice touch, and the towels and sheets felt lovely. Most importantly, the location was perfect - absolutely stunning views and tranquil surroundings.

This property is exactly as pictured and described. We had a number of gloomy rainy days, but were happy to have such a cozy and comfortable place to stay indoors. The views are absolutely amazing and we loved being able to see the huge ships sail by and were close enough to hear their horns sound when entering the port. The location is close to Canal Park and other local restaurants. As in other reviews, the bed is SO comfortable (even with a bad back)! Tabitha was the most attentive representative both before, during and after our stay.

Before we even entered the rental we were enchanted with the view. Lake Superior is RIGHT THERE!! It was amazing, but of course, it got better. Entering the space (quite easily thanks to Tabitha's instructions) magnified the water view. Once we took our eyes off the view, we realized how amazing the rental space is all on its own. The layout is exactly as described in the listing. Three floors with the lower level feeling like its own private oasis as there is a door to close off from the main level. There is a sofa sleeper down there which was great for naps. Very comfy. The main level has the living room with comfy furniture, kitchen, fireplace and of course, that stellar view. The kitchen is very well stocked. There is no garbage disposal, and that was no big deal, but just be aware. The upper level has the primary bedroom, bathroom and accessible storage for your belongings. The king bed is very comfortable. There are skylights which provide an incredible stargazing opportunity late at night (it was a bit too chilly to actually spend too much time outside). The location of the property is great. A grocery store was within walking distance. The road in front of the property takes you everywhere you need/want to be.The outside areas provided lots of seating, but again, it was a bit chilly to spend time out there for us.We very much appreciated that the space was so clean, organized and well cared for. We'll be back!

The Carriage House is an amazing property that takes your breath away as soon as you step in and see the beautiful views of Lake Superior!! From booking to check out communication with the host was prompt and courteous. Had an issue with the fireplace which was addressed and remedied as quick as possible. The property was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

I can't say enough nice things about our week away here! The rental became a home to us and we truly loved the views and nicely appointed accommodations. The furniture was high end, the towels and linens were soft and plush, everything was perfect! The check in process was easy and they accommodated an early check in day of. The accommodations were clean and organized. We visit Duluth often to visit family, we will be back for sure!

Perfect lakeside getaway. Views are amazing. This owner has thought of everything. So many nice touches, including kcups, paper products, soaps, etc and welcome snacks. Owner quick to answer any questions. Would highly recommend. Hope to return someday!!

Perfect home for my wife and I. Beautiful lake home, so close it felt like we were on the water! 10 mins to Bayfront, shops etc. Very easy to find. Loved it! Walk to groceries and bike paths. We would definitely book again! Thank you!

Excellent lake views from both the upper deck and lower patio, very comfortable seating. Nicely stocked kitchen, very comfortable king bed. The location was perfect for exploring the North Shore. Thank you for sharing this wonderful cottage!

The property was exactly as presented. Loved the view and the outside spaces. Easy access to driving north along the shoreline. Was able to walk/run on the local trail only 2 blocks away. Clean and had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing weekend.

The cottage is the ideal lakeside retreat. Amazing comfort. Every detail thoughtfully addressed. The views are incredible (Sunrise to Sunset). Grocery, spirits and nature hikes are available within walking distance. In town convenience with perfect privacy. Hope to be back soon.

Great location, dining or shopping in Duluth minutes away or head up the north shore! Beautiful comfortable cozy home, tastefully decorated. Fell asleep listening to the waves nightly! Sitting out on the deck one could easily watch the waves for hours! Awesome views, and an awesome stay! Would highly recommend!

Cannot say enough good things. Great location, right on the lake. Everything was clean and in great order. Walking distance to a grocery store as well as nice brewery. We would 100% stay here again and recommend to friends.

Spent a few nights for our anniversary and the house was so clean, cozy, and had a spectacular view of the lake. So many little details from the well-stocked Keurig pods (your pick of Starbucks OR Caribou!), to the cozy robes, the toiletries (special towels for make-up removal even), the little snacks on the island, the RTG fire pit, and comfy blankets everywhere!! It was just lovely!!

So many wonderful, upgraded amenities. A snack tray to satisfy your sweet and salty cravings. Lake Superior right out the patio doors. Comfortable furniture on the deck and in the yard to sit and relax. Host, Tabitha, was very helpful. Everything is well thought out to make your stay perfect. We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. Well done, Carriage House!

Not sure how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. Probably why no one has! It’s clean, like new, has coffee, and there’s this large body of water right outside your window that’s pretty nice. We’ll definitely be back!

Mother / Daughter weekend away! The home was extremely clean, beautifully positioned on the lake, and easy to access and park. The amenities were perfect, pleased to find laundry detergent available, coffee pods, firewood, etc. Would highly recommend. It is just as it looks in the advertised pictures.

The fireplace, living area and sleeping spaces were well arranged and the kitchen and bathrooms had all the right amenities from extra soaps and towels to kitchenware and spices. We loved our stay at the Carriage House. One can tell that everything was thoughtfully decorated and appointed. The amenities were fabulous and I really appreciated the decaf coffee pods! The kitchen was nicely stocked and ready for cooking. The bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean. The bathrobes were a nice touch, and the towels and sheets felt lovely. Most importantly, the location was perfect - absolutely stunning views and tranquil surroundings.

This was the perfect place for our family of three to put down the electronics and reconnect with each other. The house has everything you need. We stayed in for dinner twice and had everything we needed to grill and make a meal. The view of Lake Superior is beautiful and we had perfect weather to enjoy it. Our son loved being able to go right down to the water and look for rocks and agates. The house is well decorated and very clean. We're looking forward to returning in future summers.

Absolutely lovely carriage house in the Lester neighborhood, walking distance to Brighton Beach and Lester Park. It was cozy and perfect for us. The sounds of the lake, watching the boats go by, and the loon who swam by this morning - pure magic of the northwoods. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The carriage house was extremely clean and well maintained. The backyard was right on the water and we enjoyed both the yard and balcony. The space was wonderful. Easy drive to downtown and up the coast.
