Loved the location and staff was wonderful. Had to wait 4 days for our king bed we reserved and they seemed put out by it. Front desk people were rather curt when asking information but rest of staff great. Beach there is good and umbrellas there IF you get up very early to get one! Hotel food was ok. We did not use the all inclusive as so many other places to go to. The late afternoon music at boat bar and drifters entertainment was wonderful fun music!! A traveler from our hotel was robbed by knifepoint at Bourbon beach. This place was once the best spot but changed and looked shady. All in all I love Negril and will be back soon. The sunshine, the afternoon showers, the people, and the casual lifestyle is great vacation mode!!

Don’t waste your money! Go somewhere else. On arrival to the property the first impression was that it was old and tired. The bedroom and bathroom were poorly lit, and not what I’d describe as clean. The towels were threadbare and desperately need replaced. The pool in the picture is across a main road, both pools are in need of an update. The evening meal was served at 7:30pm, not a buffet with options as you would expect from an all-inclusive hotel. A simple meal of chicken, fish and rice with a slice of sponge cake as dessert. No snacks were offered throughout the day, just a simple lunch. The alcohol was limited and bottom shelf. Breakfast was also very limited. One night of entertainment and the bar closes at 10pm. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that the beach is beautiful. We only stayed one night at this run down aging hotel. The pictures online are old. We booked this hotel thinking we were getting a boutique resort experience. Such a disappointment.

Reasonably priced hotel on a nice section of beach. Staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. Could use some updating, but I like the feel of the place. Food was good, not great, internet was spotty, but it seems there were outages everywhere while we were there. Water was hot with plenty of pressure. Would stay here again.

Clean room, good value for the money. (But yes, definitely bring your own beach towel.)Tasty breakfast. Their beach area is small, but as you are free to roam the whole thing to your heart's content, I don't see this as a huge issue. There are not as many fancy amenities here as in a larger pricier hotel, but you get a lot more local culture & authentic experience staying in a place like this, so I think it's well worth it.

My family enjoyed staying at Legends and using the free shuttle to their sister resort Samsara, it only comes at 10 am and returns at 4pm. For a family of 5 it was easy to have the all inclusive meal plan so that we didn’t have to worry about where to eat and how much additional it would cost. The food/buffet was plentiful with cole slaw, bread, soup and 4 other options. Dessert was a basic cake. Meals are at set times, so this may be harder for some. I felt comfortable walking off the resort both on the beach side and the road side. Bring beach towels because you only get 1 towel per person. This is a budget hotel with budget amenities (such as 1 towel per person, older furniture and chipped dinner plates, but the staff were nice, the rooms clean and food decent, drinks plentiful and you can ask to have fresh fruit blended in if you purchase peeled fruit, they will keep it at the bar with your room number. Our family had a relaxing vacation. Remember this is Jamaica and there will be many entrepreneurs selling various items at the beach, just say no thank you and they will move on. The beach was lovely with beautiful sunsets.

Had a good time while staying at Legends. It's not a big fancy property, but my room was clean, with daily maid service, and the bed was comfortable. Staff always smiling and friendly. Very nice beach area with plenty of beach chairs available. They don't provide beach towels, make sure to bring your own or buy one at the gift shop. Michael the beach security guy will make sure you're not hassled by roaming vendors. Will definitely stay here again.

Legends was a very affordable hotel right on seven mile beach. The beach was perfect and there were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach for hotel guests. The rooms were basic but clean. The phone in our room didn't work but our cell phones did so that wasn't really an issue. The food was ok, but there are a lot of other restaurants nearby that had better food. One thing that I didn't like was the lack of a place to buy snacks and drinks. The bar was only open from 8am-10pm so if you were thirsty or hungry outside of those hours you were on your own. A vending machine or two would have been nice.The staff was quietly friendly. All in all we had a really great time at Legends. You get what you pay for so if you are looking for something a little higher end with more amenities, i would look elsewhere.

The property is in desperate need of upgrading. It was almost impossible to take a shower because of how narrow the shower area is. The toilet doesn’t flush & there is no plunger or brush to help. The towels are stained & very old. There was no wash rags provided. No shampoo or shower gel provide. When I finally got wash rags they were stained with what looks like rust on one and on the other it appeared to be blood stains. The telephone in the room did not work. I had to call from my cell phone & each time I would get the operator at the sister property, Samsara, who had to relay the message to the people at Legends. The heat in Jamaica is unbearable and there was no refrigerator in the room. When I asked to borrow one of the many small refrigerators that they have lying around in the receptionist office, I was told that I would have to rent one for $12 USD per day. In order to check in I had to deposit $100 USD. This was the first time I’ve ever experienced anything like this. Outside the doors of the rooms, I had to be playing hop scotch over wet & dirty towels that were placed on the ground to mop up the floor because of the leaking air conditioners. I feel like I was robbed of my hard earned money. What you see in the pictures on Expedia is a very far cry from what you actually seen when you arrive at the property. I’m so broken by the overall experience.

Your property needs a lot of work. We had to leave as the amount of bugs and filth coupled with a broken AC. My travel partner had an autoimmune break out because the cleanliness was so bad. Bed bugs!!!!!!

Je déconseille très fortement le Legends Beach Resort. Mon séjour, prévu pour 10 nuits, a été écourté car les conditions étaient tout simplement inacceptables. La nourriture est médiocre et, si vous n’êtes pas en all inclusive, on vous sert en réalité les restes du buffet. J’ai donc dû chercher d’autres restaurants à mes frais, ce qui a engendré des dépenses supplémentaires (transport). Le logement, situé côté “jardin”, était vétuste et insalubre. À l’entrée, une odeur pestilentielle provenant du local poubelle envahit l’air, masquée maladroitement par des produits chimiques encore plus étouffants. La chambre n’était pas mieux : la climatisation coulait abondamment dans la chambre et sur le palier dès qu’on l’allumait, et le dessous du lit était une véritable déchèterie, preuve que l’endroit n’avait probablement jamais été nettoyé. À cela s’ajoutait la présence de nuisibles (rats, blattes) tant à l’extérieur que dans la chambre. Nous étions obligées d’utiliser du désinsectisant tous les soirs et de calfeutrer la porte avec une serviette, en vain. Face à ces conditions insupportables, j’ai dû quitter l’hôtel avant la fin de mon séjour et trouver en urgence un autre gîte, plus décent, ce qui m’a fait perdre une partie de mon budget. Une telle négligence est inadmissible. Seul point positif : la mer. Pour le reste, cet hôtel est vétuste, laissé à l’abandon et absolument à fuir. Contrairement au Samsara (de la même chaîne), le Legends est une énorme déception.

This walls in the rooms were covered with dust, bathroom window had cob webs, refrigerator smells old and musky and on top was dirty. The coffee pot was filthy as if it was never washed. TV has white streaks on the large area. Hair was also found on bathroom floor with spots. Also, the white sheet has a reddish/brownish spot on it. There was no way we could have stayed in that deplorable condition. We took pictures and spoke to the front desk clerk, she then gave us a email address to upload the pictures. We had to leave and book at another hotel as one of the guest has asthma and the dust started triggering a flare up of her asthma.

The room was cool, it could be upgraded! The housekeeper did not bring clean towels the 2nd day, We had to call for that!! and my friend found a live cockroach in between her mattress in her room!! They dont provide beach towels, like alot of other hotels do in Negril!! Shout out ro Vanessa and Marie in the dining hall and bar!!

Food was very good.It was my 2nd time here & the little gift bag they gave me as a returning customer was a very awesome touch!!! Beds comphy. Shower curtain did have mold on it, suggesting property upgrade their shower curtains to a mold resistant ones. Water pressure for shower was ok. They were always cleaning & it was appreciated!

We enjoyed the convinience of walking to many restaurants and shopping around. We had choices of Beach, Pool or Cliffs with 1 resort area. Food was ok but for the price, we went out and ventured! We did not like the big music venue on sat night next door till 4am. Ridiculous!!! And we did not like the attitude of front desk girl.Shanari. she was quite rude a few times with us. But the rest of staff was fabulous. A great stay!

I really enjoyed my stay here- I did have a minor issue that was resolved quickly so no details needed. The front desk staff were awesomely welcoming and friendly. They even brought a snack necessity bag room to room right before we left-right before hurricane Melissa. Marie @the bar was very attentive and provided great customer service. Now, Vanessa-waitress@the restaurant if not a manager- she needs to be promoted. She needs to be a trainer in Customer service for some of the others-she remembered things we liked-she was attentive and was always smiling and welcoming- we appreciated that with good tips. Overall, nice stay- would stay again. We do need to be able to charge food/drinks from the bar/restaurant to the room when not all inclusive. Security was great as well. One complaint which is out of the control of Legends-loud-booming music from another location going on until wee hours of the morning.

What it shows online was not the same when you get there in person and when I was booking it said the room come with a fridge when we got there we where told there is a $13 daily fee, and the rooms only comes with 2 towel no face towels

I liked the restaurant staff. They were friendly and professional. The floor was dirty in the bedroom. The remote for the TV did not work. This property needs some serious upgrades. Tried to relax on the beach this employee kept cursing and yelling. Saying he was on vacation and he had been there 20 years very unprofessional.

The Legends was perfect for us. Beautiful room that was nice sized with a balcony on the 2nd floor. Right on the beach, decent food buffet but not 5 star if you know what I mean. I just loved being able to walk out of my room, go 100 feet and be on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It was not crowded or noisy. Price was extremely reasonable and you could always go out to eat at one of the many restaurants nearby. SOOOOOOOO relaxing!!! Not a Sandals or Beaches and not near the cost. But much fewer people, kids and great place to buy some local stuff, sit back and get into Jamaica. Be ABSOLUTELY sure to try the patty's that guys sell on the beach!!! Going back next year!

Bed wasnt comfortable. Too flat. Internet was top tier. I could watch youtube etc There was no security at the gate for the garden property but a camera was pointing to the room balconies from the property beside them. Loved the large pool but not the bugs at the bottom. Didnt like that the rooms had no fridge. You would have to rent one at an additional cost. Of course, if you need an iron, you would need to request it from front desk. The showers are too slim. If you are large in body you might not feel comfortable. Hot water was there, which I appreciated. Overall it was okay. Just a place to rest. The quite environment was lovely. Housekeepers need to learn to knock and state that they are coming in before using their key. They did this twice and the last time I ensured the door was bolted.

The room was clean. The location was good. However I did not like when I was out at an activity and I left before 10pm and when I came back after 10pm the gates were closed to get back in to the hotel from the beach. It would’ve been nice to hear that when I checked in. The front desk check in staff was rude on multiple occasions.

I have stayed before and thought I would stay again because of the service. This time it was horrible. Very limited interaction. Every time we to the Restaurant we had to ask for menus and service. Even if they walked past to serve other guests that arrived after we did. I have never experienced such poor service in all t my trips to Jamaica as I did. When we asked if we did something or offended anyone because of how we were being ignored they said no. Only good interaction was with housekeeping and the tall security guard who helps cross the road

Only a few staff were friendly. Vanessa, Karri Anne, Katie, Melissa and Jean were amazing. Tried to book a massage and asked 3 times and just gave up. All other staff basically ignored us. This was my 5th time staying at Legends! Lets just say it is right where you want to be in Negril. Everything is within walking distance and besides a little hustle, no problem ever! All staff were great EXCEPT the girl at the front...my stay with with a friend i booked 2 beds...she didnt give one fffff and i had to show my reservation to prove it...then when we went to shower only gave us towels for one. Piss poor didnt even go out the way to make it up the me. Oh then i was told on the Saturday they would have a room on Tuesday lol we settled in and moved on but it is well worth saying front desk service was just nasty to me because i wanted what i book! Side note i had another room booked for my daughter coming in, i spent money. With that said i will stay there every time just dont expect 5 star service at the front, but all other staff i have no complaints!

Had a good time while staying at Legends. It's not a big fancy property, but my room was clean, with daily maid service, and the bed was comfortable. Staff always smiling and friendly. Very nice beach area with plenty of beach chairs available. They don't provide beach towels, make sure to bring your own or buy one at the gift shop. Michael the beach security guy will make sure you're not hassled by roaming vendors. Will definitely stay here again.

The employees of Legends Beach Hotel, are amazing! Before, During, and After Hurricane Melissa, our needs were exceeded every time. They even gave us room service for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in the middle of a Hurricane. The rooms are clean, and spacious, the bar is stocked beware of the Jamaican Rum Punch, it's good but it'll sneak up on you. The food was hands down the best I've had in Jamacia and this is my 3rd time going, the beach is always beautiful, white sand, local vendors, and crystal clear water. For your money you cannot beat the location, lodging, food, drinks, and excellent service. Take the time to talk to the employees to get to know them and the area, they have a lot of good insight about the area, and they know where you should go and where you shouldn't go. Hands sown the best resort, service, and time I ever had, and most of it was during a hurricane, the employees put there guests before there families and ensured our safety and made sure we were fed. I cannot say enough about there integrity and their work ethic. Legends Beach Hotel is my spot from now on, I hope you get to enjoy it as well!

After my 3rd trip to Legends I will surely return. Mike the security guard is the absolute best. If your looking for a fancy property, this is not for you. If your looking for small and authentic, book it. Great location surrounded by resturants, kikis coffee, small convience stores and a duty free mall, all within a short walk. Beach is crystal clear and beautiful.

Don’t waste your money! Go somewhere else. On arrival to the property the first impression was that it was old and tired. The bedroom and bathroom were poorly lit, and not what I’d describe as clean. The towels were threadbare and desperately need replaced. The pool in the picture is across a main road, both pools are in need of an update. The evening meal was served at 7:30pm, not a buffet with options as you would expect from an all-inclusive hotel. A simple meal of chicken, fish and rice with a slice of sponge cake as dessert. No snacks were offered throughout the day, just a simple lunch. The alcohol was limited and bottom shelf. Breakfast was also very limited. One night of entertainment and the bar closes at 10pm. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that the beach is beautiful. We only stayed one night at this run down aging hotel. The pictures online are old. We booked this hotel thinking we were getting a boutique resort experience. Such a disappointment.

The only staff at the resort i will give 5 stars to is the security guard Cesar. As for the resort: I paid for the all inclusive meal and drink plan. You can’t get anything to eat or drink after 9p. They will only let you order one meal, you can’t eat again. The food was edible. Nothing to go home bragging about. The drinks were TERRIBLE! They do not have any Champaign for mimosas. Bring your own liquor. They also close the beach at 9p. You can’t even get any water to drink after 9p. Even on the weekend! We had to leave the resort for water at Night. We had to keep asking for wash clothes, which took so long to come, we just washed with soap. The wait staff was rude. Marie the bartender was good. The place should be upgraded. You are given a physical key for your room. The air conditioner in our room was not cold. We did complain. Nothing was done. It was my first and last time ever going to Legends. I’m use to 5 star resorts and treatment. You don’t even get a welcome drink. WATER IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ALL INCLUSIVE!!! You MUST PAY $2 for a small bottle of water. SMH

The variety of food was quite limited on the All Inclusive buffet. The staff was great. Marie and Jennifer were great as was the serving staff. The rooms need updating and the towels and bedding were well used. Being on the beach was the best feature.

Great stay for a quick 4 day get-away in walking distance on the strip. Hotel room was very cute and clean, nice balcony facing the hotel adjacent. Easy beach access with plenty of lounge chairs. Good breakfast selection American or Jamaican cuisine, prices were very reasonable. Live Band on Saturday night they were good. Very good Jerk Pork stand soon as you exit the hotel to the right, very well seasoned

I can't say that I found anything unique about this property. I will say that dinner was good, the couple nights I had dinner on the property. The chicken alfredo was delicious!!

Staff is excellent. Room is clean but AC didn’t work as well as I would have liked, I brought a personal fan so I was okay. Food is good but repeated and buffet not much of a selection. Location is amazing and the beach is amazing. All the waitresses are wonderful!! Definitely would go again!!!

Hotel rooms was reasonable clean, but overall rooms could use some updating, a bit outdated. Stayed 5 nights and no one came to clean my room on the 4th day. There aren't many amenities at the hotel, but it is worth the stay.

It’s sad because this property has true potential considering that the location is on seven mile beach, near many restaurants, shopping areas and nightlife. However, the entire resort needs an upgrade. The rooms are old, dated and not clean. We found a huge roach in our bathroom and ants everywhere!!! The AC Unit was not functioning properly and the room was uncomfortably HOT! Had I not been traveling with a large group I would have left! But we tried to make the best of it because we were celebrating a milestone birthday. We compensated by spending most of our time out doing different activities.

Air conditioning worked great. Staff was very kind and helpful. You can get rides right from the hotel and they kinda have their own driver. The staff does seem to go out of their way to help and get you whatever you want even if they don’t have it on their property. The all inclusive food options are predominantly American style foods. Room cleaning is just ok. Felt like it was never properly finished something was always missed. I found the location great all the people and shops around the hotel were very nice. Pool on jungle side is beautiful. They have a stocked gift shop.
