Beautiful hotel, no elevator and no parking. You need to park on the street and pay, OR pay on the street across because that one is free. The BEST bed ever, I actually want to buy that mattress for my home. Spacious rooms. The location is not close to the historic places, but everything is walkable. I do recommend this hotel.

This property is in a lovely group of Victoria row houses featuring amazing two story stain glass windows and grand staircases. Our room was large, bright and very clean. Staff were helpful and service oriented. The lobby whiskey bar was a treat.

Superb stay at Hotel Du Vin, Glasgow. The upgrade to a junior suite was the right choice, the room was fabulous, the bed was comfortable and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend the cocktails in the bar! We will be back!

I had a classic room and it was beautifully appointed with an envy worthy bathroom. It had heated floors, and an enticing tub that was behind doors that could open up into the bedroom. There were plenty of places to gather in community- sitting area, bar, restaurant outdoor patio. The front desk staff always helpful. Only frustrating moment was our dinner at restaurant. It seemed understaffed that night. Food very slow in arriving and every time we ordered a bottle of wine we received an incorrect bottle Otherwise a pleasant stay

The staff was helpful and friendly. The lobby is beautiful, and the hotel overall has a lot of character. However, it has seen better days. The hallways and room were very stuffy. Heaters were ancient and could barely keep up. The toilet wouldn't flush. Inconvenient outlet placement. When people walked outside the room, the furniture would shake, plus you can hear everything. I personally would not stay there again, but some people might want to experience it because it has local fame. Location was very convenient.

It is so sad to see this once great hotel looking so tired. Maybe because we booked a last minute room we were given a room that was a poor standard, but given it is advertised as a high end luxury hotel, all rooms should have a degree of quality and cleanliness? First room we were given was in the basement, it was very clean and well appointed, but next to reception and the cigar/drinks garden, it was so noisy you could hear every conversation outside and all the commotion of a busy reception on the inside. The second room we were given was much quieter on the next level, it did have a very comfortable large bed, but the room was tired, particularly the bathroom, which was in poor condition. The rest of the room was large and spacious, but it was very dusty, the headboard by the bed had a layer of hair and dust on it, the furniture was also dusty, and the windows were dirty with paint flaking off. Such a shame given the amazing location, stunning architecture and grandeur of the building. Staff were great and accommodating, very helpful. The changed the first room immediately, I think they were used to the noise complaints. I didn't moan about the second room, just wanted to get out and enjoy the wonderful west end of Glasgow, the bed was very comfy and I could live with the dust and the old bathroom.

Very unique beautiful old hotel made up of several converted homes. We were in the Chateau Bauduc Suite which was very large with a very comfortable bed and a separate door that opened up to a beautiful courtyard. The service was excellent and the food was great. There is no air conditioning and our windows opened up to a public space so it was uncomfortably warm until the public space cleared out and we could open the door and all of the windows. The shower had trouble draining but not a huge issue. We had mixed feelings about this hotel but overall enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it in cooler weather.

Being Glasgow natives we've always known one Devonshire Gardens as the name associated with luxury in the area. But when we stayed for a night for my wife's birthday the hotel had no trouble living up to that reputation. The room was spacious, spotless and relaxing. Staff were attentive without being overbearing, and breakfast was delicious, varied and unhurried.

This was a lovely hotel but my room was a bit odd ... sort of in the basement and literally right down a short set of stairs from reception so you could hear a lot of chatter. While the bathroom in my room was beautiful and decadent, the decor was a bit outdated in the main room and it was painted a bizarre grape purple ... didn't seem to fit with the esthetic of this beautiful hotel. The room also desperately needed some more accessible outlets. There was none in the bathroom except for shavers so I had to dry my hair by the desk. Minor things, really ... a lovely hotel and lovely people, and I will stay here again but will ask for a different room.

Beautiful hotel, fabulous room, let down by ambivalent staff. With the exception of the porter who was delightful, the rest of the staff were ambivalent, met the very minimum requirement. The hotel clearly suffers from poor leadership.

Love this place, stayed many times. Sadly the reception staff was unwelcoming compared to previous times I've stayed. I think he was French so may be a language thing. But no smiles ever ! The breakfast staff were young and inexperienced and not fitting of such a brilliant place. Will return because we love the building and the breakfast and cocktails were first class as ever. But people make or break. And this time they disappointed

Wow! We loved staying here and enjoyed the ambience and the dinning experience. Our room was amazing even though I turned down an upgrade. Amazing location and in the morning we walked to Eusebi’s for coffee and Kelvingrove Park Art Gallery to view the Scottish Colourists in all their glory!

Beautiful, comfortable, and unique place to stay, away from the bustle of city centre and close by to the beautiful streets and shops in the west end. There aren’t a lot of quick dining options shorter than a 10-15 minute walk away, but it’s an easy and enjoyable walk to the best parts of town.

A truly exceptional hotel with warm and friendly staff. It is about a 15-20min car ride from the heart of Glasgow but well worth going the distance. Lots to see and do nearby as well.

The hotel is actually 5 older homes whose inner walls were removed to convert it to a single building. The result is a luxurios maze of stairwells and halls with unique rooms and foyers. It is within walking distance of Byers Road and many restaurants. The staff are very friendly.

Very spacious, comfortable room. Loved the architecture and decorations. Safe, walkable neighborhood for after dinner strolls. The food is amazing. Had both breakfast and dinner, butternut squash risotto was out of this world.

Very lovely building in a beautiful area of Glasgow. Quite a walk to shops/ restaurants etc. our room was beautifully furnished and huge, with a palatial bathroom! We didn’t have dinner, but breakfast was very underwhelming. A dark room with no atmosphere, everyone whispering. We didn’t want anything hot, so chose continental. The buffet was practically bare even though there was 30mins of service to go. Small slices of thin rubbery cheese, piled with meat slices so not ideal for vegetarians. All in all, a lovely hotel though.

Superb stay at Hotel Du Vin, Glasgow. The upgrade to a junior suite was the right choice, the room was fabulous, the bed was comfortable and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend the cocktails in the bar! We will be back!

This is a lovely property in the west end - quiet street large rooms - lots of old world charms with stain glass windows and dark leather couches- the place is filled with slow moving we’re rich folks on vacation many with all their well trained pure breed doggies. There’s really only one restaurant bar near by 1051 GWR - 5 minute walk - other than that you’re a 15 plus minute walk or a cab ride to other options. I would avoid the breakfast in the hotel - absurdly over priced - I made that mistake and paid 130 USD for my wife and I for 2 breakfasts -l pub is equally expensive. Room was nice bed comfortable and staff was mostly helpful but a bit too formal for my taste.

Wow - we have stayed in some wonderful places on this holiday but we seem to have saved the best for last!! Beautiful property, amazing room and dinner at the restaurant was worthy of a Michelin star!! Oh and brilliant staff - special thanks to Scott!

Nice hotel but needs some renovation within the rooms. The ironing board was so old it collapsed on me, and the new one I ordered from reception didnt have a protective cover on it. Not ok for an establishment of this rating.
