disappointed that the pool was closed for our entire trip due to a sports team

Staff was friendly. The pool was small. The parking garage was confusing.

I loved the exercise area. The kitchenette is handy for extended stays

Parking was a little confusing because you had to walk through a different hotel through the skywalk to find your way to the hotel.

Great hotel! Very clean and nicely decorated. The workout facility was top notch and we loved the comfortable bed and spacious, functional room! Location 5 stars!

Our room was just beautiful and looked newly renovated. The breakfast was quite good for being free. Parking in the structure was a block away. The property itself was slightly hard to find as two hotels occupy one building, but it all worked out

My family looked foward to a pool that didn’t work for a year. Actually checked out 2 days early and booked another hotel. Can I get some money back? They advertised a pool and not once mention it hasn’t worked in a yesr

I chose the Home2Suites because they were centrally located and the area around it was walkable. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is parking. On arrival, I was told that paying $20 for parking in the garage with unlimited in/out access would be a better deal. This was not clear from the initial reservation, but ok. Turns out it was $20 PER DAY, making it an extra $40 for my visit which was a surprise when I checked out. And not the good kind. The staff was overall very friendly, the place was very clean and well kept.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but not great. The room was comfortable and quiet. The outdoor space was great. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had to call and complain that the floor we were staying smelled like something was dying. Turns out it was dirty linens that had been left in the hallway. For the next three days there was trash left in the same hallway that the janitorial crew walked over daily. The breakfast was mediocre and not kept up with. Daily when we went down they were out of items and were not restocking and began shutting down 30-45 mins before the close time. The hotel policy was room cleaning service every other day, but on our 6 day stay, we were only serviced 1 time and I had to call to have them come in for that. The hotel itself was nice, it was a shared building with the Hilton and that was less than convenient considering the walk from the required parking garage. The service provided could use work.

The room wasn't cleaned properly, there was hair in the shower! There was garbage stuffed in the ice bucket from previous guests that housekeeping didn't take care of. There was hair outside of the shower! Very disappointed for the money that was spent that weekend 😡

The room was very nice. Shower had body wash, shampoo and conditioner bottles mounted on the wall. The body wash and shampoo were completely empty. Meaning they had not been checked or filled for sometime. one elevator smelled like urine. Even though we politely told the lady at the front desk upon check out and she appeared to be completely annoyed when I told her about he elevator and the bodywash and shampoo.Not a pleasant person.

Upon arrival, the tile entrance to my room was very sticky. Although it had been cleaned, traces of a spill could still be seen in the entrance way and bathroom. I went back to the front desk to ask them if they could send someone to clean it, as it was grossing me out. They told me that the cleaning crew had gone home for the day, but that one of them would see if they could find a mop and see to it. After returning to my room later that night, the floor was cleaner, but still sticky. It remained so for the two days that I was there as rooms are cleaned every other day. Wasn't super thrilled about that but the rest of the room was clean and comfortable. The off-site parking situation was a little confusing and if I hadn't have rung the bell for help upon leaving the garage I would have been charged again even though I had already paid at the hotel ahead of time. The hotel is conveniently located and within easy walking distance of downtown attractions and the Kalamazoo Mall.

There was leftover food in the dresser drawer I called the front desk, he said he didnt know what to do, or how to handle this. Offered a different room, how do i know that the same cleaning staff "cleaned this room as well". Plenty of disinfectant and lysol at this point. It was only 1 night.

Nice hotel. Very noisy in room. Voices in the hall were loud in the room. A/C didn't work properly. Was warm in room.

Generally a great stay. The front desk staff were helpful and welcoming. The room itself was pretty spacious. It came with a full sized fridge, a microwave, and utensils, serving ware, and some basic pots. There was also a sofa. The bed was pretty comfortable and the TV was viewable from the bed and sofa.

Huge room with everything you could need. I wish we were staying for more than one night because this room was so nice!!

Large rooms, friendly staff, easy check in

The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The only less desirable things were that the bathroom does not have enough lighting and we had a bit of a problem with the validation ticket for the parking garage. Other than that, it was a great stay!

My second or third stay here. It’s quiet, the rooms are spacious, the hotel has recyclable bins in the rooms, there’s a kitchen with a microwave fridge dishwasher etc.

Room was nice. Several outlets didn't work or light switches

The hotel room door jammed frequently and was difficult to open. Other than that, it was a great stay.

The coffee machine in our room did not work

First time staying here. The staff was very helpful and everyone was kind to my children.

Room was great! The front desk staff was HORRIBLE!!! Very rude at check in. After I gave him my id and my credit card he had me checked in under someone else’s name. When I asked for parking information he was extremely vague and never even gave me directions to my room. I asked at check out to speak to someone and he told me he was the only staff I could talk to. At 930 am on a Thursday ??

When we went to check in they stated they overbooked and no longer had a room available, even though we made a reservation 3 months prior.

My room was switched to another hotel, the hotels are connected. They said they “were sold out” so they had to move me. I was supposed to have a suite and got moved to a basic room at the other hotel. They adjusted the price so it matched the rate of the one I originally paid for or I would have had to pay more. Overall it was annoying

My dance troupe and I stayed here over the weekend as we had a performance in the area. Check in went well, first impression was good. Room was great until we pulled out the sofa bed. We grabbed the extra sheet, blankets and pillows, there were bloodstains on the pillows. Went down to desk to get pillows, ot was going to take them a minute to find them. Went to bar for a drink and waited. Went back to desk, the night shift person was sleeping and wasnt able to be woke up so we went on a journey to find our own. Next morning, i went down to breakfast at 7am, when the sign stated breakfast started. After 20 minutes i asked the front desk when breakfast would be and they had no idea and shrugged her shoulders.40 minutes later, they were finally ready and opened breakfast. I went to make a waffle and noticed the waffle irons were very dirty. Assuming the crustiness was from day befores breakfast because they just opened the curtain to serve. I was starving and decided to make one anyways.i was told i had to wait a few more minutes. I told the lady i had already been waiting 40 minutes so ill go elsewhere. Went back to my room, went to get a glass, dirty. Silverware, dirty. Cleanliness is an issue here. Will not return.

I arrived at 5pm to check into the hotel prior to running to the WMU hockey game at 6. My room was not ready even though my reservation said I could check in at 3pm. I had to go to the game with all of my baggage including my sons hockey gear in the car. Was not able to get the stuff into the room to air out, or get into the room for my son to shower prior to going to the WMU game. (He had just played a hockey game of his own and needed a shower). it was quite an inconvienence. No discount or refund was offered either when I asked, I just kept being told I had to speak with a manager, but the manager never seemed to be there when I would go to the counter to ask, morning or night.

This is a newer hotel, so everything was still pristine. The woman who checked us in was friendly and personable. I had no idea that Kalamazoo has such a large homeless problem, so I definitely wouldn't wander around downtown at night.

We came by train and it was an easy two blocks walk. We stayed five days and only needed to use Uber for sights many miles away. Everything else was within easy walking distance. The breakfast was good and from 6-9 am. I wish it stayed open later so we could sleep in. We brought some food and drinks in our suitcase and it worked well with the kitchenette in our room. This hotel is great for anyone who wants to stay a few days and feel at home.

Great location very walkable in daylight hours.

Nice hotel downtown, close to restaurant and bars. The neighborhood is overwhelmed with the homeless population so traveling outside alone is not recommended, however with a group it was fine.

Our room was spacious, clean, had all kinds of amenities, and had great natural light. The hotel is in a great location - walking distance to Bells Brewing, hopcat, and the tin can. only stayed one night but it was great. Most definitely would stay again.

The hotel was great, the area around the hotel had a “not so safe” vibe, people asking for money or food, no issues with any one when walking down to Bells Brewery, but would hesitate to walk around after dark, loved everything about the hotel and would stay again

Clean room, quiet on the 8th floor, very friendly staff. Asked for an extra blanket and got a fitted sheet instead. Good breakfast and fitness room. Five blocks from Bell’s Eccentric Cafe and bar.

Great breakfast and nice restaurant

Hotel was clean. Good location downtown. Free breakfast was subpar. Selection would have been ok, but at 8am on a Sunday, almost everything was empty, no coffee...Some things were refilled, but most remained empty until we just left and couldn't wait any longer.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall clean hotel. The room is very spacious, comfortable for a family. Ample closet and drawer space to unpack. The kitchenette is great, good size frig (not a mini) The breakfast is disappointing, waffles are good but the rest of the hot breakfast is lacking and the options did not vary much at all each day. Eggs and what was labeled bacon was not appealling. Fruit was not replenished, 1st day there were bananas, apples and oranges the remaining 3 days there were only oranges and same unappealing hot breakfast.

A nice place to stay in Kalamazoo, breakfast could have used some more options.

We went down for breakfast half hour before it was supposed to be over and there was nothing. The people in the back were like oh well we dont have enough time to make anything else. Not a good answer in my opinion, they should of been watching and making more before it ran out.
