The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was very out dated and there was no ice on the whole property (both ice machines were broken). The room were spacious and was a great value compared to others in town

Perfect for a nights rest while enjoying Redwood national and state parks all day. No working AC but luckily a storm came in and the temperature stayed cooler. Was a cheaper option, but worked great for the price and time of stay.

The place was big and clean, we came in very late (2am) so we had our rooms on the third floor but it was nice. Unfortunately no elevator so if you are need handicap accessible room you should mark it the time you reserve your room. Also if you go through the mountains make sure you leave in time because it’s very long road but beautiful.

Only rooms in the new ANNEX building have air conditioning. I did not know this, and I booked a standard room, but the rooms in the Annex only cost $10. When I discovered there was no air conditioning in the room, I went to the desk and asked to pay for the upgrade. There were still rooms in the annex, and the lady upgrade me for free. That is what I call good customer service!

Felt super safe there as 2 women traveling by ourselves. Ocean world was super cool, and they also have an amazing coffee/tea/hot coco machine in the lobby

We were able to get a pet friendly king room with a jetted tub and we're not disappointed. The tubs are ginormous and super relaxing. There's a plot of grass behind the hotel for dogs as well.

The room was clean and comfortable with views of the Bay, the building lacks soundproofing the pipe noise is noticeable, but I was able to sleep well. The staff is friendly and helpful, they have a coffee machine with tea and chocolate in the lobby, The Good Harvest Cafe nearby serves a good breakfast. The hotel has plenty of parking space, and is very well located. Overall I recommend it.

It was a decent place to stay. The furniture was a little outdated, but each room had refrigerator, microwave, ironing board and iron, and the facility had a laundry for the guests which was reasonably priced. They can up their rating by buying a new bedspread for every room. I didn’t see every bedspread, but I’m assuming they were all like mine which was right out of the 1980s. It was dark and when people see it, they think dirty and stained. Also, they need to put US B poor or cube in each room. They had a 21st century mirror in the bathroom, but the rest of the room was 20th century. Just adding the USB ports and buying a new bedspread for each room will give them at least an 8 1/2 rating.

Nothing special. Furnishings were out dated and worn No tv guide only a channel guide A. Elevator is needed as your facility is 3 floors. Many seniors can’t do stairs, let alone 3 floors of stairs

We were shocked at how dirty this hotel was. We stayed 4 nights and had to go ask for our room to get picked up and had to get towels from the front desk. The cleaning staff was so loud and okayed loud music while the guests were still sleeping. There is no AC so you had to sleep with the windows open which made their conversation worse.

We had a dirty towel hanging on the door. The frigerator had leftovers from the previous guest. There were several candywraper on the floor and nightstands.

The property was horrible. It was dirty. There were dirt piles everywhere. The room was filthy and had critters crawling around in. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Dirt on the windows not dust dirt. The staff was rude. We happened to catch a prostitute in the hallway. It was horrible stay

The room on the third floor had a view of the waters. The sheets and pillow cases were so wrinkled and not white and not appealing to sleep on. The shower did not work. There was no water in the shower.

We had a wonderful two night stay here. The office staff was very welcoming and their office coffee was delicious. Rooms were very clean and stocked well. I gave one less point rating for cleanliness because the carpet, in my opinion really needed some attention with shampoo. It was nice having plenty of in room coffee and a refridgerator and microwave. Beds were comfortable. Great location too. Parking was good. We felt safe. Will be back!

No one in our party felt comfortable sleeping on the blankets/beds, so we purchased blankets to lay over top the comforters. Wore shoes entire time because there was black tar like substance on the carpets. When we first went to our room, they had a "sanitized for you" paper wrapped around the toilet, but when I pulled it off there was dried pee all over the toilet seat. There also was hair on the shower walls and drain! I wasn't expecting much when booking this place, but it was beyond gross, and noisy. Even the towels were dingy. The office check in staff were nice, the only redeeming quality!

Property was not clean to high standards, the room lacked a fresh aroma. The bathtub felt spongy under your feet like you might fall through the floor. The handle on the bathroom sink popped off. There were no screens on the windows, allowing bugs to come in if you wanted to cool the boiling hot room down. Mattresses were very soft, not in a good way. If you’re looking for only a place to lay your head then it would do, but not ideal for a lengthy stay.

The room was filthy to say it nicely. The chair at the desk had not been cleaned in months. The pillows stunk of mildew and they had dirt on them, so we used our own. A couple of towels still had pubic hair on them. The tub was also not clean and had hair still in the tub.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is huge and very clean. It’s located in a spot close to restaurants and stores and the beach view from our room was great! Oh and I can’t forget the bed. This is our fifth hotel on this trip and the bed is the most comfortable by far

Staff was nice, the room was very spacious, okay view of the bay, met our needs for a place to stay. Aquarium was next door which was cool. The property is very dated, there is no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor, the door didn't have a door bolt.

Room was clean, the furniture is dated. The heating worked well, gen’s was comfy. Downside and reason I won’t stay here again is the highway noise. I did not notice when booking that this hotel is right next to Hwy 101. The trucks and the revving of a few someone’s engines was relentless all night, even thru earplugs and a thick pillow. Great price tho!

Lot of traffic noise if you get a room on the road side, lot quiter if you get a room with a sea view.

Amenities: coffee/chocolate, candies, free in lobby. Good amount of soap, shampoo, towels in room. Good quality towels. Didn't use fridge, microwave, hair dryer, but appreciated them being there. Excellent shower pressure. Would recommend motel, but leave off the claim of seeing the ocean from rooms.

The room was clean bed was nice and staff was Very friendly. I got the king hot tub room with a balcony. I would stay at this hotel again, but would not get this room as it wasn’t worth the extra $$ The way it looked online was that we would have a view of the ocean, but we did not. We had a view of an old building. That was the only reason why we chose this room was for the balcony view other then that everything was great 😊

I travel for work and the BayView inn always has kind front desk staff, clean rooms and is in a good location to grab snacks, drinks, or walk to a restaurant. I also really enjoy their hot tub rooms when it’s chilly out. The beds are very comfortable. Whenever I stay in Crescent City and need a hotel I plan on staying there.

I had problems prior to checkin however heres a short list of issues at the hotel: No air-conditioning No screens on the windows to be able to allow cool air in There was a sandle left in the room from a prior guest: did they even clean? The rooms smelled The beds are hard as a rock The towels are dingy The boiler is old and LOUD and kept us upon the first floor all night with the banging. The carpert was crunchy and did not want to walk on it without shoes The lights flickered when i used my blow dryer Overall dirt and dingy. It is apparent that keeping rooms updated and comfortable for their guests is not a priority For the booking issues here is my story,: I booked 2 rooms and my request at the time of booking is that they were on the same floor. I called the day i booked to confirm and was told they had the request and should have no problem accomodating it. I called at 9:30 on day of arrival to find out one room was the 3rd floor and the other was the 1st, but they wouldnt change it, even though they said they could accommodate my request 5 days earlier. The manager was unwilling to even talk to me on the phone. They never apologized or offered any solutions to thier short comings, just nope cant change it.

The room was clean and ready at the specified check in time. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. I will stay there again next time I am in the area.

Location was convenient to restaurants, shopping and local points of interest. Room was clean and plenty of space but the beds were very uncomfortable and mini fridge was super noisy! All motel owners need to have mattresses rotated and turned over on a regular basis!! Also the front desk staff both days we stayed there were very inhospitable.The check in staff member insisted I provide a license plate number EVEN though I gave a full description of my truck (which by the way was the ONLY silver F150 on the whole property. Also I asked for a close by restaurant (since I had just driven over 5 hours and was really tired) and she was offended when she suggested a Mexican restaurant nearby to which I replied no thank you and wouldn’t offer any other places. So I looked up other restaurants myself online. The next morning I went to the lobby to get coffee and after struggling with trying to understand the touch screen instructions the dude behind the desk never offered to help and when I asked out loud how to operate it he left the room! Thankfully another guest was in the lobby and walked me through the process! The coffee was the worst I’ve ever tasted so the next day we went to the Dennys just down the street. Also the both mornings multiple guests decided to loud and obnoxious conversations outside our door in the parking lot…so rude and when I called the front desk they basically said there was nothing they could do about it! Worst hotel stay EVER!

The lady who checked us in around 9pm on 4/5 was just so kind. She was so helpful with recommendations about what to do and see around the area and even went over the map with us. She is what made our stay so great, along with the remodeled room.

The price was accurate for what you are paying for. The property is well maintained and the staff are very knowledgeable and happy to help. But this is next to the main highway and will be noisy. It’s a good one night place to rest before heading out on the road.

Great little stay for our family as we spent the day in the city passing through. Clean and comfortable. Aquarium next door is worth checking out and you can pet sharks!

Nice rooms, safe and close to the beach

Hotel is very old and needs a major update. Friendly checkin but went to walk into my room and it was still is the process of being cleaned. Poor water pressure in shower. Decent location but lota of homless people in the area.

This was a nice hotel within walking distance of some good Mexican restaurants as well as a slightly longer walk to the pier.

Great locally owned hotel. Really nice staff. They are working to update the rooms. Great home base for exploring the redwoods or enjoying the coast.

Nice and cozy! I would return. Seem to have a lot of dining options nearby. The Marina access is close by in ~ 10 min walk. The sunset was amazing!

It was alright. Kind of run down. Price was okay for what we got. No breakfast. I kind of like having breakfast at the hotel.

Friendly and easy check-in. Right off the 101 with easy parking. The hotel is slightly dated but the property was clean, beds were comy and staff were friendly. I recommend eating at The Apple Peddler restaurant right next door.

It was a beautiful room, I liked the table. nice and wonderful to see the ocean. It liked the thicker blanket and the staff was very friendly. I would have liked some breakfast and I make tea so hot water ( not just coffee) would be nice. You could tell it was older ( the carpet was a little older). Overall it was great.

The bed was really hard. The pillow too. Hot tub and pool were great. The BBQ place on the north end of town was excellent.

We just needed a 1 night stay to break up the ride home from Bend and this place was dog friendly, available and inexpensive. The bed was very comfortable and the location pretty good although not picturesque facing 101. There is some wear and tear on the main building but everything worked. Nice to have a channel guide! The towels were fine but the soap was the smallest of ever seen! The staff were very nice and friendly and helpful in finding dining.

Although the bed was comfortable and the room clean, I would likely not stay here again. My room had the kitchen area (fridge and microwave) located in the bathroom. As the hotel does not have continental I used the kitchen amenities and found it a little gross to have it located with the bathroom. The advertisements said each room had a jacuzzi and that too was very lackluster, as I had a shower with a removable shower head. Overall not bad, but think you could find better alternatives in Crescent City.
