Very very dated but clean & basic. No kettle/ tea etc in room. No actual bar, just very dated settees. Breakfast ok. Staff lovely & friendly.

Trevligt hotell perfekt beläget mitt i stan. Väldigt litet och familjärt med dygnetruntpersonal i receptionen. Trevligt med en flaska bubbel som välkomstgåva. Hann aldrig upp på takterrassen men kan tänka mig att det var en fin utsikt. Rent och skön säng!

El hotel es bellísimo, digno de Firenze. A una cuadra solo del mercado central y excelente ofertas gastronómicas. Además teníamos todo cerca! Habitación super grande, iluminada, una obra de arte bellísima! con baño super amplio, camas cómodas. Quizá un poco ruidoso todo, y no podíamos disfrutar la vista abriendo la ventana en su totalidad. El personal de recepción era fue el mejor, sobre todo a Filippo que es un excelente empleado de recepción, nos ayudó en todo, es un profesional de verdad, gracias Filippo por hacer nuestra estadía un 10 en Boticelli!! Además ofrecen servicio de umbrello de cortesía para los días lluviosos. El desayuno nos gustó mucho pero quizá tenía algunas opciones limitadas, menos el jugo que la maquina era genial . Para cambiar: Nos dieron una champagna de bienvenida por nuestra luna de miel y viaje familiar, que si bien sabíamos que estaba incluída, nos sosprendió gratamente. Pero, lo único que vimos flojo fue el aseo de la habitacion ya que la botella estuve alli con todo 2 noches y nunca la retiraron. O sea que lo más flojo fue el personal de limpieza. La zona es segura, quizá con mucho movimiento, a 10 minutos de la estación central a pie. fuimos con un niño pequeño y nos pareció una gran elección. El tema de deja la llave por seguridad, quizá da un poco de desconfianza, pero nada grave. Volveríamos a elegirlos sin dudarlo.

Lovely hotel. Central location. Everything was about 10 min away. It was a birthday trip with my little daughter and the staff surprised me with a cake and a candle for breakfast. Breakfast daily was so good! They have umbrellas for the rain. Nice hot shower. Just great. Would stay here again.

Group of 5 friends with 3 rooms, 2 internal and 1 street-side (this one a little noisy early morning/evening with market stalls moving - but nothing that earplugs didn’t solve). Lovely terrace on our floor (2nd) perfect for drinks. Good breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Would stay again.

The complimentary breakfast is fabulous. Ana and Mohamed are outstanding. Hotel is conveniently located to shopping, dining and tourist attractions. I don't the slow, small elevator. A ramp for the front steps for your luggage would be helpful. The shower/bathtub is really dysfunctional and risky for injury. The carts for cleaning were kept in the hallways all day long. Even when not in use. I realize they upgraded the matresses, yet not sure why this is considered a 4 star hotel. Needs upgrading: carpetting, furniture and painting

We like that is walkable but we didn’t like that their elevator is old and not working at times while we were there.

Quaint, traditional European hotel with much character and very attentive staff. Conveniently located near Santa Maria Novella train station, Mercado Centrale, the Duomo, and several very good osterie and trattatroie (a must is Osteria Pepo just across the street!) The 2nd floor patio provided a great place to unwind with some wine, cheese, etc. that we bought at 2 small markets just meters from the hotel. This was my 2nd stay after several years and it didn't disappoint!

Great location, close to all the places you want to see. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, managed to enjoy the little balcony on the second floor. Our friends that travelled with us were given room 100 on the ground floor that was very noisy from 4.30 in the morning, avoid this room.

You have very kind people working for you. Front desk, maintenance, bellboys, breakfast servers etc. Very courteous and professional!! Your facility needs a major upgrade. There weee ants in the bathroom and stains on ceilings and carpets. ACs didn’t work and I had to ask several times to get a fan. I got the fan, but my friend didn’t even get one despite the heat. Your staff was trying their best but clearly the owners don’t care. Very disappointed!!

Breakfast was wonderful and the staff were great. The location was also very good and convenient. But the main problem was there was a strong sewage smell in the building that was very repulsive. Luckily it didn't come into our rooms, but the lobby and hallways were very stinky and we had to hold our breath. Also, the shower had a horrible design, where all the water would come out and flood the bathroom. I spent 30 minutes drying the bathroom every time I showered.

We had to cut our stay very short due to discovering bed bugs in our room the same evening we checked in. This was extremely disappointing and disrupted our trip entirely, especially since we were traveling with a baby and had to drive hours back to Rome the same night. The hotel itself feels quite old and in need of serious updates — from the furnishings to the overall condition of the rooms. The windows, in particular, are outdated and offer little sound insulation. If your room faces the main street, be prepared to hear everything from traffic to late-night noise. That said, I do want to commend the staff — they were exceptionally kind, understanding, and professional throughout the situation. They processed a refund immediately and assured us that the bed bug issue would be addressed promptly. Unfortunately, despite the good customer service, the condition of the property and the bed bug incident make it hard to recommend this hotel without significant improvements.

Upon arrival the odor in the room was terrible. After a shower the only towel available was too small to wrap around my body and I’m small, size 4 USA. The room barely had room to walk around. The carpets in the hallways are filthy. The small safe operated poorly and the cylinder actually came out twice when using the key provided. The breakfast and personnel were hospitable.

There are roaches in this hotel. They made us pay taxes twice. Once online and and another time at checkout!

Beautiful hotel in the historic center of Florence. All staff, front desk, wait staff, kitchen, housekeeping, extremely friendly and helpful. Housekeeping services took place twice a day to make sure everything was fine. Lovely balcony to enjoy coffee, wine and company. Would come back repeatedly.

Super Lage, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein wunderschönes altes Hotel, das Service war ausgezeichnet sowohl die Rezeption als auch das Servicepersonal, leider war unser Zimmer Strassenseitig und daher sehr laut, da die Fenster nur eine sehr dünne Doppelverglasung haben.

Good location but noisy , make sure room is not facing the street

The hotel is in a great location, quiet and safe and there’s a person at the front desk 24/7. It is an old hotel, the rooms are small which is normal, but the bathroom was pretty rough which is why I gave it 4 stars. Walking distance to everything including the train station.

We arrived on April 8, a hot day. Our room was stifling and A/C didn't work. The manager explained that Italy has a law that hotels cannot turn on the A/C until April 15!! They did move us to an upgraded, somewhat cooler room, and gave us a fan. The buffet breakfast was superb -- everything you might want. Very, very good! The hotel service in general was very fast and accommodating -- quickly bringing us whatever else we needed. The room: rather small. The shower was in a high tub, and difficult to stand -- not for the elderly or somewhat handicapped! Bed etc. comfortable. The room has a small cooler and also a safe. The hotel is very centrally located -- only a 3 minute walk from the Duomo and other sites (huge indoor market; Michaelangelo's David museum; etc.).

This is NOT a four star hotel. I would say three at best. The room I was originally put in was so small I couldn’t open my suitcase or move around in the bathroom without hitting myself on something. I did get moved to a larger room but I have no idea how anyone could stay in a room that small. It was not worth the value the hotel cost. The front desk staff was incredibly kind in helping me move my room but to whomever wants to stay here please manage expectations for more of a three star experience and small rooms.

This is a quiet, well-located hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Breakfasts were excellent, but our room was a little disappointing - more like 3* than 4* rated Italian hotels which we have stayed in recently. The plumbing was a problem (low pressure) and shower extremely cramped, too small for anyone above standard size!

This hotel does not have air conditioning despite what the description says. The temperature is centrally controlled and we were told that since it is still getting cooler in the evenings they would not be turning on the air conditioner during our stay. They did offer us a fan and we were able to open the windows, but then we were subject to all of the loud noises outside all night. It is in a great location, within walking distance to most of the tourist attractions and the train station and plenty of restaurants, and that’s the only reason for the 4 stars.

The location and the staff are exceptional!! While the interior of the property is a little dated, you can’t beat its location and the staff is the friendliest, most helpful team I’ve experienced in a very long time! I highly recommend Hotel Botticelli!

The level of service was excellent. Staff was welcoming and went out of their way to take care of every need even without asking. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at this properly several times over the years. We love the breakfast and the breakfast staff, Anna and Mohammed. We love the location, close to the Mercado Centrale, the leather carts, the train and our favorite restaurant, ZaZa. We didn’t get our room upgrade until 3 days after we got there. They forgot.

Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here. If anything goes wrong with your room there is no one to fix anything outside of normal business hours. There is also only one person working in the entire hotel at night time. Our shower did not work which we did not discover until the evening of our first night and of course, there was no one there to fix it. We were told it would be fixed the next day, but after we got back in the evening of the second day, we found that it was not fixed, and the only person working in the hotel knew nothing about it. Three grown women had to take baths for the first two nights. After we were assured that it was fixed on the third day, we got back to the room from a long day of sightseeing only to discover that their “fix” led to us having no cold water. So then we could not flush the toilet or use the water in the sink. So basically we could not use our bathroom the entire stay. There were no other rooms for 3 people available so they had to give us keys to use a bathroom on the other side of the floor. They did nothing to try to compensate us for our inconvenience, and the amount we paid to stay here was way overpriced for the facilities provided and the service we received. The manager was out of town and had someone call me a few days later to apologize. I told her I would like the manager to call me when they got back in town and now 2 months later I still have not received a call. Don’t stay here!

The location is excellent. Close to the train station and nestled within the city center. The rooms were very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was great. The staff at the front desk was a little rude at times, but I’m thinking it may have been the language barrier, as my husband and I are English speakers. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florence. Be warned that because the hotel is located in the middle of a busy marketplace with a lot of restaurants it can be very loud at night, however the location is very much worth it.

The room was quiet and clean. The breakfast healthy with fun options. The reception desk was rude and unhelpful.

We were warmly welcomed by Romina who helped guide our three days in Florence. Alessia and Federico also went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of, knew where to go got tips for good bookings, etc. It was a delight. Breakfast was delicious every day with slight variations in the home cooked goods and the coffee was to die for. Thank you so much for a lovely lovely trip. Being treated like family was lovely.

Really, REALLY good location. Comfortable room (though it did have a little street noise and it didn’t have room to open up a second suitcase). Helpful staff. If you want to have a great informal meal, head to the central market and go upstairs to the food court.

While the building itself is quite old, that’s typical for Florence—part of the city’s historic charm—so it’s best to set expectations accordingly. Overall, it’s a quiet, pleasant place to stay, with excellent access to most of Florence’s main attractions and just a short walk from the train station.

Hotel in posizione centrale, palazzo storico. Purtroppo gli infissi sono quelli originali NON insonorizzati. Anche se il letto è confortevole, è impossibile dormire a causa del rumore.La notte dalle 4:00 in poi si sente il rumore per il passaggio del ritiro immondizia e per il passaggio dei mercanti che passano di lì con i carretti per esporre poi in piazza Mercato. Ascensore lentissima, bagno non certo di un quattro stelle. Il personale gentile ma non in grado di trovare soluzioni. Pulizia della camera 2 volte al giorno e asciugamani di buona qualità, colazione accettabile ma non da quattro stelle.

Der var rigtig meget støj fra gaden og det sluttede til midnat og startede kl 05.00. Det nærliggende markede skulle have vare til og fra og det forgik med trækvogne med hårde hjul mod ujævne fliser - ikke nogen god cocktail for nattesøvn!

Easy to find and close to everything. Academia Gallery was only a 9 minute walk. Many restaurants and shopping at the market just minutes away. Staff was excellent as we had them hold our luggage while we toured the city. Breakfast was perfect with many options.
