Grand hotel with impressive common spaces and a superb bar in the original vault (make sure you get a reservation even for cocktails) Rooms were decent size and well appointed. Breakfast excellent Only point of warning is the spa (which is very nice) is quite small and therefore difficult to use at busy times. Maybe try a different hotel if this is your main requirement as you could be disappointed Hotel is well located close to the old town and also near shopping areas and most of the tourist sites

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. Check-in was slow and took about 25 minutes, as our room was not ready when we arrived. Unfortunately, the extra bed included in our reservation was not provided, and although we had three guests, only a limited number of towels were supplied. The wellness facilities were generally good — the gym, swimming pool, and sauna were enjoyable — but the steam room had a noticeable unpleasant smell, and there was a faint bad odor in the pool area as well. Parking was tricky and definitely a challenge. We were lucky to find a spot in front of the hotel, but this seems to be more the exception than the rule. I would recommend this hotel more strongly to those not traveling with a car. On a positive note, the surrounding area is beautiful, and the hotel itself has potential if some of these issues are addressed

The hotel itself was beautiful - better than what I expected. Room beautiful and clean with everything you would need. Christmas decor beautiful. We kept having to ask for milk and tea for the room but it was always given and no extra charges for this. Staff told us about the vault but did not tell us you needed a booking! So when we went there we could not sit down or even stay for a drink. This was ok as it was pretty tiny in there and it was too brightly lit- nowhere to dance - atmosphere could have been much better if lighting was improved. The idea of it sounded interesting. Spa massages were excellent and staff really polite and professional. Spa manager was not very helpful to accommodate massages for some reason unknown to us on our last day. Spa clean and Gymn very well equipped. We loved sitting in the lobby for hot drinks but didn't eat there as it seemed expensive. Overall I would go back. The staff really made the place excellent.

This is, without a doubt, the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The building is a former bank and is so beautifully restored it takes your breath away! The lobby and bar are open and grand yet still manage to be intimate and friendly. I highly recommend enjoying cocktails in the vault bar, which is open Monday-Saturday evenings. The rooms are immaculately clean and beautifully presented. In my opinion though, the thing that makes this hotel truly outstanding is the staff, particularly the concierge and bar staff. They are helping, attentive, knowledge and were definitely very forgiving of 4 old gits who had never been to Romania before and didn't have a clue what to do or where to go. We can't wait to visit again.

Coffee machine didn’t work, chair was broken with missing screws. Area at the main lifts smelled like cat pee. Charged 3200 Ron (£557+) upon checking without explanation. At check out was over charged a further £45 GBP (they charged double the advertised fees), noticed by myself after reading the invoice total (in Ron so confusing when room booked in Euros). Then had to pay in full £415 again for the correct rate. Property currently owes me £557+ which they’ve held on my card and not released, despite emailing them. My bank says 30 days before they can get involved. Room was ok, perhaps a little better than a Premier Inn. Best part was the view over the roofs from the 5th floor. Would not stay here again - Bucharest is however very beautiful.

Location is perfect. Central but away from evening noise. Hotel is magnificent. So clean and modern with classic architectural preserved elements. Staff are attentive, polite, professional and friendly. The food in the restaurant is of high quality. The beds are so comfy, perfect water pressure in the shower with rainfall shower head. Good amenities in the room. Highly recommend this hotel. I would stay here again

Unfortunately I need to rate this hotel a 1 star. I stayed here for 3 nights but by the time I left the hotel my arms, hands, legs were covered in red bumps. I can only assume this was some kind of bed bugs. Also - the room I had was always very hot, there was alot of noise, the view was of an ugly parking space and I couldnt open the window because the smell from the restaurant would come into the room. I would not stay here again for £210 per night. Good things about this hotel are the breakfast, the lovely looking entrance and lobby areas and the very interesting bar in the basement called The Vault.

The hotel came highly recommended. Unfortunately, it was just ok. The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. It was very noisy at night, because it is located in The Old town and there are many bats and restaurants around and they close around 2 am. The hotel is an old bank and it’s a beautiful building!

The hotel is in a very convenient location for exploring the old quarter of Bucharest. The rooms are generously sized and stylishly appointed except for the one chair. When you lean back in it, it feels like an iron bar very lightly padded. A word of caution, move it out of the way as catching your toe on the legs will give you a memory that you will want to forget! The dining is good albeit with a limited menu. The buffet breakfast has all any international tourist could wish for but an extra coffee machine would not go amiss as you are likely to line up for your morning espresso. The front desk staff are excellent. You will have no trouble communicating in English with any of the staff.

The hotel is very impressive! From the moment you arrive outside to the beautiful architecture and design, you are greeted by doormen, a valet, the reception staff and the concierge are exceptional and very polite, warm and helpful. The bar area, there are two bar areas, are both amazing from the lobby bar to the Vault Bar downstairs, the design and service was perfect. Service at breakfast was exceptional, our waiter, Amir on both days was so good and so helpful, just perfect and so accommodating. The room I stayed in was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in and was so unexpected. The proportions such as the high ceilings, big windows, access to a private terrace overlooking the Romanian Treasury building was so amazing. The bathroom was all marble with a huge shower and a huge bathtub and so much space I could have stayed in the bathroom for a year and enjoyed it. All in all - we had very low expectations of our stay in Bucharest and this hotel blew our minds - every detail was perfect - the design, the comfort, the cleanliness and the service. The tv's and the ability to play music and watch your Netflix or other apps and the discreet plugs everywhere to charge laptops or phones was perfect. No request was too much for the staff and the level of service and quality was exceptional. The value for money in this hotel was one of the best I have experienced.

Hôtel bien placé dans le centre de Bucarest . C’est un vieil hôtel qui à l’époque était une banque. Heureusement que je ne suis resté qu’une nuit car c’est la première fois que j’avais une chambre sans fenêtre donc sans vue. Il ne faut pas être claustrophobe on aurait dit une prison Sinon le buffet du petit déjeuner très bien

Booked a “standard room” and received one that was essentially an internal room. The only windows were two small skylights high up in the ceiling. The hotel would probably say these mean it’s not internal but to all intents and purposes it is and should be labelled as such. Given this you had to have the aircon on all night - and the light from the aircon control unit is so bright it very much disturbs your sleep. Managed about 2hrs very broken sleep. On the plus side the room was very clean, modern and quiet, the shower was very good and it’s a great location.

The spa staff were super friendly and helpful too, Gym facilities are fairly small and not many machines however adequate for a hotel gym. We found the really cool cocktail bar, ‘the vault’, to the right of the lobby somewhat by accident and tried to go in for a cocktail but were greeted with a rude response from the bar staff as we didn’t have a reservation and made to feel that we were an inconvenience as they had a private function in the back room, this made us uncomfortable so we left. The Hotel is amazing, the staff are brilliant and attentive to all needs from opening doors from Taxi’s to carrying luggage and shopping to taking bespoke arrangements for my wifes 40th bday, highly recommend the hotel for all types of stay, will definitely re visit very soon

Coffee machine didn’t work, chair was broken with missing screws. Area at the main lifts smelled like cat pee. Charged 3200 Ron (£557+) upon checking without explanation. At check out was over charged a further £45 GBP (they charged double the advertised fees), noticed by myself after reading the invoice total (in Ron so confusing when room booked in Euros). Then had to pay in full £415 again for the correct rate. Property currently owes me £557+ which they’ve held on my card and not released, despite emailing them. My bank says 30 days before they can get involved. Room was ok, perhaps a little better than a Premier Inn. Best part was the view over the roofs from the 5th floor. Would not stay here again - Bucharest is however very beautiful.

The hotel is very impressive! From the moment you arrive outside to the beautiful architecture and design, you are greeted by doormen, a valet, the reception staff and the concierge are exceptional and very polite, warm and helpful. The bar area, there are two bar areas, are both amazing from the lobby bar to the Vault Bar downstairs, the design and service was perfect. Service at breakfast was exceptional, our waiter, Amir on both days was so good and so helpful, just perfect and so accommodating. The room I stayed in was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in and was so unexpected. The proportions such as the high ceilings, big windows, access to a private terrace overlooking the Romanian Treasury building was so amazing. The bathroom was all marble with a huge shower and a huge bathtub and so much space I could have stayed in the bathroom for a year and enjoyed it. All in all - we had very low expectations of our stay in Bucharest and this hotel blew our minds - every detail was perfect - the design, the comfort, the cleanliness and the service. The tv's and the ability to play music and watch your Netflix or other apps and the discreet plugs everywhere to charge laptops or phones was perfect. No request was too much for the staff and the level of service and quality was exceptional. The value for money in this hotel was one of the best I have experienced.

I'll never forget how kind and helpful Vlad, the concierge was. During my stay at the Marmorosch, I sprained my ankle in the Bucharest Metro, and later in the evening it hurt so much I determined I had to go to the emergency room. Vlad arranged the whole thing, even coming in the hotel's car to pick me up when they were done with the x-rays. Truly above and beyond. I hope the hotel will recognize his excellent work and promote him! The general manager of the hotel was very kind as well, with a gracious personal touch. Everyone was wonderful, really.

The hotel is stunningly beautiful and clean. There is not an essence of 5 star service to be found. Service and follow up are poor. Concierge was not working 2 of the 3 days that we were there. Requests for Tickets to The House of Parliament and Ceaucesu home were not fulfilled or with any follow up. Reservations for restaurants (x2) that were supposedly made were not found to be in place. There is a shortage of staff for the guests. Drink coupons, Asti Spumante, pastry and profusive apologies are given in response to the shortcomings but NO IMPROVEMENT in service follows. Manager Radu Taraboanta took the feedback well but sadly did not halt the absence of a proposed reservation for later that evening INSIDE the hotel itself. Look for an alternative until such time the service can be improved. The bones are there for something great, just not there yet.

Hotel is in a great location to walk to all of the main sites in Old Town Bucharest. Rooms are large, modern and spacious. The lobby bar and restaurant are beautiful paying tribute to the design of an old bank. The Vault bar on the lower level is also high end speak easy type bar and a good place to grab a drink. The food was healthy and delicious. The waitstaff were enthusiastic and welcoming. Downsides are that food and drinks are very expensive when compared to all other options in the area. Also found the reception staff were not as outgoing and welcoming as the wait staff. Overall a great place to stay if you’re looking for a high end hotel in a great location.

The hotel is beautiful, it is a historic building that was remodeled. Staff is very helpful and courteous. It is an oasis in the middle of the bustle of Bucharest center. Walk to everything. Close to the subway station as well. Plenty restaurants in the area, crazy night life when we arrived on Saturday night though the room was very quiet.

This is a beautiful, excellent, historic hotel in the best part of old town Bucharest. The bed was comfortable, with a selection of pillows. The food at breakfast and in the restaurant was delicious. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel is walkable and interesting, with many of the best restaurants, theaters and museums in Bucharest within a few minutes walk. Restaurant was a little disappointing for one of the dishes we ordered only (a very bland pasta dish not half as good as what I cook at home as an amateur - the rest, however, being very good) but still worth the detour if only for the beautiful room it is located in. The Vault, a bar in the hotel, had great music and atmosphere, though it was a bit pricey, and we enjoyed going there for a drink at night to just enjoy the music. If i had one complaint, it would be that the painting in the room was a bit creepy…it reminded me of clowns.

Absolutely loved it, so close to the restaurants and other amenities Loved the Spa very clean and they offered actual cold water with ice. Staff friendly Only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast the beans , hash brown etc was cold. But you can order breakfast or get an omelette which of course is hot. The distance to the Spa Therme or Airport is about 45 mins in the Uber But honestly 10/10

The hotel is located in the historic old city near the National Bank. The area is safe and clean. It is convenient for doing anything in the city, tourism or business. The breakfast was most impressive. Great service and plentiful choice of food, everything was amazing. Good old tradition of high end hotel is preserved here with a very reasonable price.
