The Ebrington Hotel

Overnight stay in city for birthday. Hotel was excellent from before arrival in terms of arranging thermal spa access. On arrival we were greeted bet exceptionally friendly reception and Porter staff. Provided an umbrella for the walk across the bridge into the city. Spa was small but really good as access was managed. The evening was rounded off with cocktails in the drawing room with piano player. Breakfast excellent. Two minor things: Loud music from party in neighbouring brewery (stopped at a reasonable time) No fridge in room. Have booked to return.

From the minute we arrived we could tell we would like the hotel. The property was very clean, well maintained and smelt lovely. Every member of staff that we encountered where very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Convenient walk across the bridge to the shops, bars and restaurants but we ate in the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoyed them all. Parking was very convenient behind the hotel costing only £6 for overnight. The spa area was compact but has everything you need for a refreshing pick me up. This was our first visit to this hotel and will definitely return.

The staff were so pleasant & helpful, & the room had all the facilities we needed & the bed was really comfortable . The leisure & spa was super . The restaurant served delicious food . I have only one tiny complaint , i would have liked the buffet breakfast to be hotter . Other than that , a super hotel & i would recommend it , i shall be back again .

This hotel does not really care about its guests, despite the pretence that it does. On the last night of our stay the hotel had a function of its own in the function room. It sold tickets for this. Many people were there. The noise in our room was unbelievable. Huge booming base. We could hear the singer too. It went on til 0045. No warning for us. No thinking “we have guests above that, we should move them so they are not disturbed . Or at least warn them about it so they are aware.” Very poor service. The irony is the hotel owner has reportedly been campaigning against noisy music events in the square at the front as they may disturb his hotel guests. Whilst at the same time enabling noisy music events of their own inside the hotel which disturb his hotel guests. We will never stay at that hotel again due to its lack of consideration for paying guests.

Spa Experience was excellent . Massage great , overall stay was first class ! Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time !

Staff are very friendly and helpful. A lot of grey paint making the corridors quite dark, however this would be fine if there wasn't so much damage to the paint. Touch up required in many areas.

Difficult to find, post code not exact to position of hotel. Parking was not convenient only drop off facilities, car park a little distance away. Dinner and breakfast very good.

Really lovely hotel, nice room, staff are really lovely and super helpful and positive. A good breakfast with buffet and a short a la carte menu. Bar was noisy as you would expect, with football on the screens but there is also a piano bar for quiet sitting. All in all would stay again, very nice

The thermal suite is lovely

Great access to the sights of Derry. The hotel is very nice and the staff is exceptional. Better pillow choices would be appreciated as well as more fruit choices for breakfast. Parking was convenient and very welcome.

Extensive buffet breakfast plus a la carte options - all very high standard. Room is very clean apart from a few marks on carpet. Bathroom and towels are immaculate. Very comfortable bed, luxurious bedlinen and an absolutely superb stay. We love it here and will be back!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Ebrington hotel !! The staff were very professional and the food in the oak room restaurant was amazing I would go back just for that ! Beautifully decorated throughout and spotless

Beautiful hotel loved the relaxing bars playing piano music… staff lovely, perfect location, only one criticism was the room was quite cold near the window, the carpet felt freezing when getting out of bed.

I booked the executive double, it’s a small room with a small window at the end of the room, the room is narrow. I’d recommend upgrading to a bigger room.

The room was absolutely fantastic with lovely fittings and furnishings with a really comfortable huge bed. Fabulous views of the Bridge and across to the City. The Corner House Bar was beautiful serving excellent food and drinks. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this Hotel for a really enjoyable relaxing stay.

Very comfortable, great location

Great location, but we had a small room with a window view of a wall 3 meters away. Killed the ambiance.

The suite was a great size with a comfortable bed and sleeper sofa. Room service and breakfast were excellent . Bathroom was nicely laid out. Staff, food and drinks were excellent.

This was our second visit to The Ebrington and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is modern but with character, the rooms and public areas are clean and comfortable. What makes a hotel is the staff and the staff in the Ebrington our brilliant, a special mention for the staff of the Corner House bar who are very attentive and friendly.

The Hotel was lovely and a good location. The older staff were friendly but the younger staff could do with some interpersonal skills training

Amazing stay with very welcoming staff

Stayed here after our engagement. I had contacted the hotel 24 hours prior after nobody had returned an email which I had sent to ask a few questions/queries. I phoned the hotel and explained the situation as per the engagement and asked would they mind decorating and putting a bottle of Prosecco in the hotel room to which they advised this would be no problem. I arrived at the hotel and received our keys from the reception staff who were pleasant but not overly interested in speaking to myself and fiancé. We arrived to our room for it not to be decorated and no bottle of Prosecco which had previously been promised. I was annoyed that a simple task had not been completed by staff. I walked down and spoke to reception staff who apologised and said it was an oversight..which is personally difficult to take considering this was an extra special day. Otherwise the food, service at restaurant and room was lovely. The hotel was extremely clean and we thanked Hilary the cleaner. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I genuinely have no other complaints however it is such a shame they couldn’t have made our stay special. They were not interested nor was I congratulated on our engagement. In my opinion it is a matter of getting people in and out, not worried about what customers wants or needs are. Having stayed in many 4 or 5 star hotels in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, if you want somewhere to stay for an extra special occasion, do not chose the Ebrington.

Exceptional service from start to finish Most attentive staff i have ever experienced. Met at check-in by Gerry who brought our bags up to our room. Met him several times during our 3 day stay always very happy and helpful. Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Will be back.

Really great hotel. First time here but would be very happy to return and to recommend to others. Modern and really comfortable. Bar and restaurant area was nice and quite busy too. Super location too. Lovely walk over the bridge into the City. Breakfast was absolutely fab. Happy to give this 5 stars but two niggles for me: (1) I don’t think overnight guests should have to pay for parking - just build it into the rate if you need to. Getting my parking card validated also made check out longer than it needed to be (2) One of spa receptionists is perhaps in the wrong job (or maybe just having a very bad day). Very unfriendly and made us feel like we very inconveniencing her by using the spa Easy to sort stuff and didn’t detract too much from a very enjoyable stay

Beaufitful property and very close to The Peace Bridge (walking bridge) which will connect you right to the central Derry area for shopping, dining, etc.

We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel and location for a whistle stop visit to Derry. Would love to return and spend more time both in the hotel and Derry.

Fabulous property, took great care in maintaining the history of the building with some lovely amenities. Booked one night and stayed an extra night. Meals and service in the restaurant and bar were excellent

Catered very well for Coeliac, they had a Gluten free separate breakfast section with own gluten free toaster was 10/10 this really showed their knowledge of how vital it is to keep gluten free food away from normal foods. This was very reassuring

Hotel was exceptonal! The service was excellent. So friendly, efficient and professional. We had lunch and breakfast. The food was outstanding. Lots of choice for breakfast. Couldnt fault the hotel. Stunning interior. Very modern. Will definetely be returning!
