The Pleasant House

Definitely do not recommend for anyone. They don’t tell you it’s a shared room and that isn’t safe for 3 young girl to be living in. The locks don’t work so anyone could walk in and the place is dirty and nasty.

I had the worst experience dealing with “The pleasant house”. I travelled all the way from London to Manchester, just for them to tell me at check in they had no rooms available. There were no staff present, just a phone number on the outside door to call. I stayed outside the building for 5 hours trying to book other accommodation. These people also refused to give me a refund, I had to get my bank to do a chargeback, which was successful. Stay away from this hotel at all costs, they are scammers.

To talk to staff you have to call a number then text them your booking details and your full name and then wait for them to give you the code to your room, room was not clean for example poo stains in the toilet, dead spider on the wall, wall paper coming off, door handle to bathroom was broken and all the units where falling apart.

Place was an un. Maned building site room was dirty in need of painting and very unwelcoming Pictures on site were obviously very old room in poor reapiar switches hanging off door lock held on with gaffer tape half the lights didnt work bed was old but clean, Honestly would not reccomend to anybody s#£t hole

AVOID this accommodation is anything but pleasant. We were double booked and unable to stay at the property due to an error on the property’s side. However, we were able to enter the property which shows how unsafe it is as we were not suppose to be staying there. The inside looked like a building site with plastic sheets, curtains and random pieces of cut up carpet everywhere - the only thing I was grateful about being double booked was that it meant this is where we were not staying ! When we were offered an alternative stay it wasn’t even in the same city- leaving a group of young girls stranded in Manchester on a Saturday night. We are still yet to receive a refund of this or any kind of written confirmation of the refund despite the fact we have been told over the phone multiple times this would be received by the end of the day. However, the deadline keeps being extended and still missed and now there is no answer on the phone calls at all. If you have any care for your own safety I would not recommend this property at all.
