We traveled to the area for our son's music event. Tru was a great stay. The room was clean and in almost new shape.We weren't crazy about the free breakfast, but that's because I have dietary needs. For most people, I'm sure it would be great. There were some nice amenities like the gym, pool table, and the game tables in the outdoor space.

This is a newer hotel with some unique design features. The rooms are small but comfortable. The common areas are spacious. The fitness center is well stocked and one of the best I've seen in this class of hotel. Breakfast was as expected and of good quality. My only complaint relates to the noise level coming from I75. Although we travel with a white noise generator, the noise from the trucks still bled through.

Nice place to stay, but facility must have had problems in the past. Needed parking permit so car would not be towed from suburban hotel lot. Warning sign in elevator against "jumping" was a bit disconcerting. Decent breakfast, nice patio out back, and local activities board by elevator were nice touches as was the hydration/ice station.

I never felt like I was in any type kind of trouble or danger in the parking lot. I did like the lobby area where you can play pool or the other with your friends and hang out. Breakfast was good. Glad it stayed open longer on the weekend.

This stay was so disappointing. My husband and I were kept awake until after 1am because of people talking outside. For reference we were on the second floor and the people were standing outside in a group until 1am talking so loudly it sounded as though they were in our room. We also had people in the room above us that sounded like a herd of elephants stomping and slamming things around until 1:30am. When we pulled back the blankets to go to sleep there was hair and dirt in the bed so the sheets had definitely not been changed which was absolutely disgusting. We ended up laying on top of the blankets to attempt to get some form of sleep. I would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel was way too close to the expressway (I75) and we could hear traffic the entire time we were in our room. The room was a little on the small side. There needed to be more space by the sink to hang a towel and put my stuff. There was no closet or dresser in the room and instead were only a couple of hooks and one small rack above the mini fridge. We basically lived out of our suitcase when we stayed.

Room was comfortable, and clean. Breakfast and coffee was good. Only thing we had problems with was the shower… It was extremely difficult to regulate temperature, it would go from warm, to cold, to scalding… during a shower without touching the dial. This may have been because we were on the fourth floor at the far end… Would not stay again unless we were guaranteed lower floor towards the center of the building… I think multiple showers going on and off caused problems with regulating temperature???

Overall the property was great. This was a last minute stay for us while traveling. The only constructive feedback I have is about the room. There was a flashing light on the smoke detector located in the middle of the ceiling. Enough light to drive you crazy as you’re trying to fall asleep. The staff was wonderful. The room was clean and the breakfast was good.

Room was very small. Fridge did not get cold, no microwave or coffee maker. Pillows were horrible. My neck was on fire the next day. My reservation was canceled and I had to make a new one when I got to the property. Not the best experience. Room was clean.

Tru looks nice. They use modern interior designs and colors but that's about it. The modern design includes few amenities. No microwave, no closets, no drawers. Its all open. Your clothes are hannging on a red pole on the wall next to the bed. It's not a comfortable feeling room. The furniture is hard and not really worth sitting in. The bed coverings are practically sheer and provide almost no comfort or warmth like a blanket should. And oddly enough, the maid knocked and came in the following morning even though we had the dnd card out claiming we had already checked out. But the worst the noise. We've stayed in 6 hotels over the last 2 months and this is BY FAR the loudest. You can hear other guests thunking around up, down, left, right and in the hallway. I think someone tried our door at about 3:30am. And the freeway! Oh the freeway. It's a constant roar of road noise the whole night. In those cases we often turn the HAVC unit fan to drown out the noise. This room didn't give us that option...it has to blow hot or blow cold. You can't just blow outside air like most hotels we stay at. Neither of us slept much that night and my wife felt really bad the next for convincing me to try this hotel over another that we stayed in the month before.

The room was nice and clean but the staff is what I had an issue with. When checking in I wanted to add late check out, she told me the price but could not answer my question about how late is it. Than when we added it to my bill she saw I used a 3rd party and made a big deal about it. Than we had housekeeping come into our room at 6am. She knocked once and just walked in. My husband sat up and said, oh im sorry we didnt put the do not disturb sign up. She than said well thats how we do things here and left. I had the impression that housekeeping doesnt come unless asked the night before. We did not ask for them so I was suprised they even knocked.

ShaRonda at the front desk was terrific. She was very helpful in getting us into our room, even though we arrived a bit before check-in time. We were on a tight schedule and it was much easier on us to check-in early. Also, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and well-stocked.

Very loud upstairs neighbors from 4am to 9am with no consequences, limited me to 3 hours of sleep since I was traveling, back and forth between corporate and front desk agent and still received no compensation for my troubles . toilet doesn’t flush, very rude front desk agent in morning, everything else was fine

I would definitely stay again me and my family enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice place was very clean. My daughter was running outside and scraped her knees a staff member of at the front desk by the name Kennie was very nice and grabbed some Band-Aids and help convince my daughter to let her screams get cleaned. She proceeded by putting ointments and Band-Aids on my daughter and such a patient and graceful way she went above and beyond for us. I loved how kind and genuine she was. I believe she deserves an extreme raise just for being who she is to not just us but everyone that walked through those doors.

This was a great hotel. We appreciated the hospitality of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and general property, no issues parking, felt safe and secure, small-ish room but had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The one and only downside was the noise from the nearby highway, but a simple sound machine app on our phone was enough to level out any disturbance and we slept just fine. We would stay there again without hesitation if we are in the area.

Not the properties fault - it’s just directly off of a very busy interstate. Very easy to access the highway which is nice but it comes at a slight cost. The site itself is amazing otherwise.
