Whoever designed this hotel did an amazing job!!! It was beautiful from the reception area, to the restaurant and pool, to the room. Beautiful sitting areas through the lobby and outside. Made me feel like I was on vacation somewhere else.

It’s well designed with a few cool common spaces and nice rooms, but there were no tip sheets on the beds. (What?!) And though they had a pool which we appreciated being open until 10 p.m., it was very surprising that there was no hot tub. (Really? For such a nice hotel otherwise?)

One of the best hotel I ever stayed at. It has great amenities, very clean, great parking with lots of EV charger, and outside activities for the kids. I will definitely go back whenever I am in SF.

We used Ameswell for one night as a staycation, and loved everything about it. The room clean, spacious, and updated. We choose this hotel because of the pool, bar and restaurant. Clean pool with saltwater. Good drinks and food. We even invited friends over for a drink, and we had a great time. We will definitely return for a staycation. They also have a wine bar!

Nice new hotel with good size room. Shower pressure isn’t great but pretty normal for California in my experience. Bar is expensive, cheapest pint is $10 and cheapest wine is $15/glass. Although in the area that’s not very abnormal. A lovely walk Along the creek from the hotel. Great for a walk/tun/ride. Pool is nice and towels are provided down there so nice and easy. Loads of parking although it’s $20/day.

This hotel was awesome. The staff were amazing and friendly. The room was modern and beautiful. Check in was 3 and check out was noon! That is the way it should be! Anymore, I feel most hotels, keep changing the check in and out times shortening your stay, but not the price! The restaurant and bar were very nice with delicious food and drinks. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and I highly recommend it. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman who checked me in because he was amazing and started our stay off on such a good note. Thank you to all of the staff at this hotel!

Everything was just ok. Carpets could be cleaner. The bathroom was nice though and we liked that the soap and lotion dispensers were on the wall not the typical mini tubes that clutter the counter and can be messy. Same for shower set up, liked the shampoo etc on the wall for easy dispensing.

Had a wonderful 2x night stay at this property. Would highly recommend if you need to be in the area for work but also could be a great stop four tourists as it's right off the 101 and there are tons of attractions around. Lovely staff, excellent food, lovely main floor common areas with a nice indoor/outdoor bar and dinning area. Excellent gym. Was too cold for the pool but it looked nice. Rooms we're dead silent with lovely beds, work spaces, clean washrooms, and nice linens. Would happily stay here again next time I am in Mountain View.

The hotel is very clean, chic, and nice with plenty of space to hang out. The staff overall was friendly. We stayed in a Superior room with two Queen beds, which was spacious and clean. I would have to agree with other reviewers that you can hear the guest upstairs (if there is one). The footsteps were loud enough to keep you up if you're a light sleeper like me, but luckily they didn't stay up too late. Besides that, it was really quiet. I'd stay here again if I'm able to get the top floor. Hah

Considering it’s proximity to a major highway, I was not looking forward to my stay, as I was worried about road noise during the night. Whoever designed the Ameswell was spot on, however, because it’s an oasis of peace and tranquility in the midst of an urban jungle. Super comfortable, quiet, and convenient with its restaurant on property. Nice room layout as well; mattresses could have been a bit more comfortable, but that would be my only suggestion to improving this top notch hotel.

The property and amenities are worthy of any four star hotel, and our room was great. We also really enjoyed the the live music and various artists in the bar area and the bar service was great (thank you again Bryan!). My only complaint is with the front desk. I called down for an iron and was out in hold because they were busy. I was in hold long enough that the line started ringing the front desk again...and nobody answered...ever. I finally hung up and made due with the wrinkles. It just didn't feel like they prioritize the customer experience as much as I have come to expect for higher end hotels.

The staff were very unhelpful here, we left out passports in the safe and no phone call or email to let us know. When we realised and called them they said they were aware they had been handed into reception but why couldn’t they let us know? When I asked if they could recommend a taxi company to get them to the airport to us again no help. This is poor customer service and not something you would expect of a higher rated hotel, when I questioned it they said they can’t call international numbers yet an email could have been sent and wasn’t. We were extremely disappointed considering the importance of what had been left.

We had a bad experience with the check in counter. For safety reasons, I was not comfortable being in a room on the first floor. I requested a room on a different floor and the front desk immediately said that there were no more rooms without even checking the availability. I explained that I would feel safer on another floor and she started questioning why I felt unsafe on the first floor, as if I had to justify myself. After clicking around she said she could move us to another floor “this time but not next time”. All she needed to do was check the room availability and let us know if we could change rooms. We did not need or appreciate the passive aggressiveness.

This the second time my son and his wife have stayed here. My son informed me that he had ask for a different room due the fact his wife is disabled and needs a roll in shower. My contacted the front desk regarding the issue of the shower. The hotel up graded there room to a suite with a roll in shower for her. Thanks to the hotel for doing this for them.

Staff is underwhelming. Not the friendliest or liveliest - to get a smile out of them was a challenge. Awkward at check in/out. The restaurant hosts desk were texting and talking amongst themselves while trying to take my order - had to repeat a couple of times and correct it. I could’ve stayed anywhere, I will check out other hotels in the area for my next trip for sure.

Beautiful property close to Shoreline amphitheater. Very convenient dining options, beautiful lobby, and comfy rooms and amenities. We really enjoyed our stay here and will return. Service was a little slow, though the entire staff was very kind.

The hotel facilities are relatively new, and the food at the restaurant on the first floor was quite good. However, the service was just average. I’m not sure if it was because I booked through a third-party platform, but I was given the two worst rooms—both on the second floor, right next to the elevator.

Amazing property like the reviews say. As of Oct 2025 they charge $20 for parking per night. The beds and pillows are not the most comfortable. Live music in the bar area on the weekend was great. The breakfast was delicious.

Issue with having to order food from the bar then having a waitress deliver it to the table. If you have a waitress delivering the food to the table, why can't she come to the table to take the order? Also had an issue with the female bartender w/ an accent. Was not friendly (borderline rude). The live music was a good addition. Last time we stayed there, there was no live music.

We enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend getting a couples massage it was amazing, super friendly and nice people. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. The hotel grounds are clean and inviting with a lot of seating and lounging options. We wish they had more of a variety of dinner options. We didn’t like the breakfast but we ordered food out at the pool and the guacamole and salsa was AMAZING! Highly recommend. The dessert options are not good if you have a sweet tooth. I tried their single choc chip cookie and it was hard as a rock and not worth what they charge at all. Over all a pleasant experience, most of our issues were with the food options and service. Would stay here again.
