Superb Music Themed Bungalow Close to Everything Ideal Executive or Family Stay

Very well appointed with nice dishes, coffee maker, toaster, everything we needed to make any meals we wanted. Also very comfortable beds and I used the jacuzzi bathtub after one long day and it was awesome!

Mike was an amazing host who provided us with everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. He even built a pet enclosure for us so we could bring our dogs along. The ‘bungalow’ is a dreamy space in a lovely part of the Arden neighborhood in Sacramento. Especially appealing, to me, were the wonderful books, posters and artwork throughout the house featuring more than a few of my musical heroes, and the gloriously green yard with a family of old trees that provided a spacious and lush oasis in which to relax. Thanks Mike!

This house was perfect for our stay! The kitchen was very well-stocked, and top quality. We found everything we needed to prepare our holiday meal. Mike was a great host. Even though his cottage was on the property, we never saw him. He was quick to respond to any questions we texted. The music memorabilia was so fascinating!

Mike shared his beautiful craftsman with us for five days. His home is warm and inviting, surrounded by a magical forest. We took care of our little granddaughters who were equally charmed. Of all the VRBOs we’ve stayed at we’ve never been this spoiled. Mike thinks of everything - his kitchen has everything a chef needs to make meals, including new cook ware. No need to buy spices, he has them all. The bathrooms have plenty of everything you’d need. The house was tidy and immaculate. Mike left fresh flowers on every table. We’re eagerly anticipating our next visit in June!

Awesome stay. The house was perfect for us. Clean, lots of supplies and amenities. AC worked great. Fans in the downstairs bedrooms were greatly appreciated. Liked the neighborhood - plenty of local food and stores and also close to everything Sacramento has to offer. We would definitely stay again - Mike was an awesome host.

It was 115 in Sacramento while we were there for my moms 90th birthday and the property had great AC, perfect cooking kitchen, great dining room and enough room for our family to relax, play games and enjoy inside activities. The outside lanai was a great place to read.

Mike's house is very cool. It's a well-kept bungalow with a fully stocked kitchen, three full comfortable bedrooms and one bedroom with two twin size cozy beds. There's also an office with sliding doors that's private for working etc. Everything was very clean. The property is surrounded by really great trees and has some really amazing artwork. There were fresh in all the main rooms. Mike was easy to deal with and there is parking right out front in a little gravel drive. The porches are also great. I would definitely stay here again!

If you like bungalow architecture this is it. Located in a beautiful neighborhood.We were concentrating on Mid-Town and Old Sacramento and this was close enough to make travel easy.Common rooms large enuff for our group of 6, well stocked kitchen. Overall, really comfortable stay. Thank you Mike!

5 star stay! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked and easy for food prep, and our family of six had plenty of space.

The house was great for my family as we were visiting my daughter and her family. Great kitchen with everything needed. Rooms very good size. The place had part of the yard fenced off for pets which was great since we had 3 small dogs. There was a lot of yard construction going on and I wasn’t aware of it before hand and I wish we would have been notified first.

The house is clean and comfortable. Great for a small dog. If ever there is an issue, Mike is on top of it and corrects the issue.

House is very quiet and clean. Safe neighborhood. Absolutely no complaints. Will stay here again next year.

The house was immaculate with welcoming fresh cut flowers and even a bottle of wine. We were in Sacramento for a mini-reunion so we rented Mike's house for ourselves, our grown kids and our 8-month old grandbaby. Was so nice to come back to the house in the evening and sit around the comfortable living room and unwind with a glass of wine. Huge beautiful modern kitchen and a very large dining table for the AM. All the bedrooms were large so everyone was happy. The interior character has been impressively maintained with beautiful darker woodwork that complements the furniture. The setting of the house was also appreciated. This is a cool older bungalow style house with great exterior features that have been maintained rather than changed including: old arbors, columns, a large porch area, good size lawn and even a lower area with a stream. Beautiful large trees for shade - a must in Sacramento! The neighborhood is very high end on a dead-end street. There are also some very impressive neighborhoods nearby for a morning walk and, of course, Starbucks is conveniently located just around the block! A bonus feature which may spark your interest, is Mike's rock and roll framed posters of the past. These are not there on a whim. With a little Google, you may appreciate Mike's deep background with the cherished history of Tower Records. Mike also has an impressive book collection of rock and roll, if you have time to peruse.

Property was very clean. Nice touches and beautiful flowers left throughout the house for us, and a nice bottle of red wine. Mike was available when needed. We had a few issues not worth mentioning, that Mike is aware of and I'm sure he'll take care of those. You can tell he cares very deeply for his property. I would recommend staying here.

This is really a lovely property. All the bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were all spotless. The house has four individual bedrooms with two upstairs and two downstairs and one bathroom between the two on each floor. We read the description as there potentially being more beds, which there aren't, but there are VERY nice double-sized plug in inflatable mattresses there that can fit in most any of the rooms. All the rooms have queen sized beds except one which has two twins. Ideal for three couples and two kids (8 total) but, of course, not all of the queens have to be for couples. I highly recommend the property and will likely use it again, as one of our kids is moving to Sacremento. The location provides easy access to all points in the city.

This home was perfect for those of use who came into town for a funeral. The home was very nice, clean and convenient for everyone. Thanks to our host Mike for providing us with such a great place.

Very nice clean and easily accessible house, we stayed here for a long weekend to visit family who lives nearby. Mike was very responsive, the house was perfect for what we needed, lots of space nice size kitchen nice neighborhood. Loved the music decorations all over the house! Will definitely stay here again.

My children and I stayed here in Oct 2023 while our floors were being refinished. I very much meant to write this review sooner but I was in the middle of a remodel and life was chaotic. It’s a beautiful house in a great location. It’s right off a busy road, but has trees that completely protect the property so you don’t hear any traffic. The owner lives onsite and we had an issue with the fire alarm beeping, and he responded right away, which I appreciated. The neighborhood is very safe and feels secluded, but it rigjt off a main road so it is very centrally located and easy to get around. I enjoyed the music memorabilia on the walls.

We met with family in Sacramento and needed a place big enough for 7. We had plenty of room. We LOVED the house. We have artists and a music lover in our group, so the artwork WOWED us. The records in the office, the wood block prints, so much amazing art. We can’t recommend it enough.

The house is bigger than the pictures feel. Nice house in nice neighborhood. Other positive reviews were correct! The house is well appointed, and A/C works great! The host, Mike, is very welcoming and helpful. He has interesting stories about the house and his career. We enjoyed staying in this house.

This was hands down the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to cook for 1-2 families, the beds were very comfortable, it was centrally located to Fair Oaks Blvd and Watt Ave, had excellent air conditioning, and all features of the house were well explained by the landlord in advance or via a binder by the front door. It was also well-decorated (with real boquets, bottle of wine, and complimentary items) and had overall neat decor (antique furniture, movie/band posters). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again when we come to Sacramento.

We rented Mike’s house to be near my brother’s for Xmas. Six adults stayed with us and we all fit comfortably. The kitchen is great and the home is very cozy.

This house was wonderful to stay in for a week for the 4 of us. The kitchen was one of the best equipped kitchens- containing a variety of cooking appliances, utensils, pots/pans as well as spices. The room were cozy and had fun craftsman charm. It was on a quiet lane but also so close to shops and restaurants.

I do recommend this house. Situated in a secluded cul-de sac yet walking distance to restaurants. The kitchen is well supplied with spices and all you need to cook.
