Old Hollywood Meets Old West Austin in Governor's Mansion!

Great property!! Spacious with three separate “living rooms”—great for a large group to spread out in but one was large enough with plenty of seating for the whole group. Dining table was large with plenty of seating and some folding chairs as auxiliary seating. Kitchen was well appointed with plenty of dishes, cutlery, and cooking pots/pans/utensils. Pool was lovely for a day of kicking back—also well appointed with chairs/chaises/sun umbrellas. Towels, towels, and more towels!! Such a lovely surprise! Property was spotless on check-in. Close enough to walk (some walks somewhat long) to several coffee shops, restaurants and grocery shopping. Overall, a really spectacular property!

The house itself was lovely, and we really appreciated that everything was exactly as pictured in the listing. There was a ton of space and the pool was great. However, throughout our stay, we encountered a significant number of cockroaches all over inside the house. While we loved the property, dealing with a pest infestation definitely impacted our comfort and overall experience. After digging into previous reviews on the property, it looks like this has been an ongoing issue for a while. It should be professionally handled before future guests stay.

Everything about the home was as described. It was super clean and checking in and out was streamlined and simple. We had a great stay.

Good sleeping options for large groups

We had a large family group (11) that stayed on the weekend of April 10. There was plenty of space and bathrooms for everyone. The online pictures are accurate. The pool and patio looked lovely, but way too cold and rainy to actually use the pool. The lower level bathrooms are re-modeled and much nicer then the older bathrooms upstairs. The only downside, was the wi-fi and internet access was too slow.
