Budget Friendly Apartment on Jones Street!

The apartment was clean and quaint, though there were some flaws in the house - a small hole in the linoleum floor and the bathroom had a broken door handle and toilet paper dispenser. Other than that, the property was great - very cozy and inviting, with two fireplaces (one in the bedroom), a big kitchen, laundry unit, a patio, and a nice living room. The location and charming exterior were the biggest draws. It was an old brick building probably there for at least 150 years. The location allowed us to walk to any of the major attractions near River St, City Walk, and Broughton St in 20 min. and Forsyth Park in just 15 min. Overall, great property to rent for a weekend stay in Savannah.

This little apartment was perfect for our needs. It was in a good location, far enough off the beaten path to not be right in the touristy area but easy walkable distance to both the Historic District and Forsyth Park. Krogers grocery store within walking distance as well. My mom gave this property 3 Cs - Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient. Plenty of street parking. We did not have to move our car during the 3 days we spent here. My mother is almost 80 so we purchased hop on/off passes with Old Town Trolley and it was easy to walk to either of the two stops closet to the apartment. We did not rate contact with the host with a 5 only because we had no reason to contact them so no real knowledge if they would be responsive or not but all communication through VRBO listing was professional and information given was correct.

I had a work trip in Atlanta and extended my trip to rent a car and drive to Savannah for a few days. I was able to walk pretty much everywhere in the city. Historic areas, river street, city market, ghost tour. I did use my car for a day trip to see Wormsloe, Bonaventure cemetery, and a concert at Tybee Post Theater. I was nervous about parking because the city is busy, but i was able to find street parking easily by the rental. The unit is good value for the price. Not fancy, but that's clear in the description. Perfect for my trip.

Apartment had just what we needed for a nice comfortable stay. We enjoyed the prime location on Jones St to walk everywhere in the historic district and ease of getting in and out on ground level with a stroller. Parking was very easy and convenient. The washer and dryer was nice to have access to. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Savannah.

The outdoor patio area could use a cleaning up and sprucing up

This apartment was perfect for us. It had all the basic essentials we needed for our short stay. The location was a good 20 minute walk to river street.

We spent Thanksgiving at the property and it was perfect. I did not cook all the dinner from scratch, I did have enough room and cooking area to heat up and cook our meal. There was plenty of space for us to serve and eat. Thank you for giving us a space to celebrate and see the your beautiful city.

It was close to everything. Sometimes a challenge finding a parking spot nearby. Very competitive. Beautiful downtown.

The location was great! Easy check in/out. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen can use an upgrade on cabinets and floors. We couldn’t get the tv in the bedroom to work, and the patio/garden was not very impressive.

Overall, terrible! The ease of getting into the apartment was the best part. We walked in the apartment to flies everywhere and a smell that got worse over the time we stayed (only two nights). It was a moldy, musty smell which was fitting as the bathroom looked to have mold. There was paint chipping or missing along with a chip/hole in the middle of the hallway floor- easy to trip on. My husband and I killed 20+ flies in the tiny 1 bedroom place over our stay. We were there only to sleep and got out of the asap. There were a lot of places in that price range, we obviously picked wrong! I would not recommend.

Possibly mouse urine? The worse part was the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was so firm and felt like the bed frame made it more uncomfortable. The dresser drawers are not on a track so they would just fall down making it difficult to store clothes. The WiFi is very slow, was hard to have multiple devices on it. Overall, I would only stay for its location but was very disappointed in the cleanliness and appearance of the apartment.

Musty smelling. When we realized water was coming from under the flooring, we called to report. All we got was “I wish you’d have called sooner.” Sent someone out to “look” at it. ?? It got worse and we heard nothing more. We thought maybe relocate us so they could fix the problem, but no. Went thru 2 rolls of paper towels by the end of our stay. Mold by the water heater too. This was most likely not the first problem. I can’t recommend this place. The location was good, hence the 2 stars.

The rental was not very clean and smelled bad. Bathroom smelled like urine! Walls were dirty too.

Es fühlt sich eher bedrückend an. Die installierten Lampen etc. konnten die Wohnung nicht angenehm ausleuchten. Auch ist die Wohnung sehr abgenutzt. Im Fußboden war ein Loch, die Elektrik erschien fragwürdig, die Lüftungsgitter für die Klimaanlage waren seit graumer Zeit nicht mehr gereinigt worden, an der Decke in der Küche waren Flecken, im Bad war die Halterung für die Handtücher defekt u.v.m. Die Wohnung war sauber, jedoch hatte man nicht das Gefühl, dass sie sauber war. Kleine Kinder möchte man in der Wohnung nicht spielen lassen. Auch der Herd in der Küche macht einen dreckigen Eindruck. Die Dunstabzug wurde schon länger nicht gereinigt. Die Waschmaschine müffelte etwas. Leider ist der Gesamteindruck negativ und die Wohnung müsste unseres Erachtens komplett renoviert werden. Das ist schade, denn die Lage ist gut und die Wohnung war im Großen und Ganzen sauber. Wir haben uns leider nicht wohlgefühlt.

Booked this apartment for St. Patrick’s Day. Location was great. Ok for a place to lay your head at night. Definitely could use some updating and a deep clean.

The location was great. The bed and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Very hard to sleep. A strong musty smell as soon as you walk in. It needs a deep cleaning there’s mildew or mold all on the walls and the vents. I get sick from mold and mildew. It could be a very nice place especially with the location. I would recommend updating a little bit, upgrading the bed and pillows and having a deep clean done on the walls and baseboards. It’s definitely a great location. The tenants or renters upstairs kept us awake and woke us up early. There were children running back-and-forth upstairs. But that is not your fault. Overall, I think if you could do these few changes, it would make a major difference.

Without going into detail, I must say that this is the most disappointing property we have ever rented.It looked like it had not been properly cleaned in months, and many things were broken, faulty, or substandard.I will be contacting the hosts with pictures and descriptions.At least the location is great.

When we walked into the apartment we immediately noticed a musty damp smell, so much so that we opened the doors to try and air it out. Upon running the air conditioner for a few days we realized why there was a musty smell. We noticed some water leaking out of the hall closet and onto the floor. We left a towel down to absorb the water, but that got me thinking, assuming this had happened to others, how clean were the towels? Upon arriving I noticed my bath towel smelled musty, maybe this was why? The pillowcases also smelled unclean. The bed was very comfortable, the water pressure and temperature were great. The location was wonderful, and the apartment was cute. But given the musty smell, the leaking air conditioner, and the seemingly lack of cleanliness of the towels, I cannot give this space a 5star review. 3 stars.

The location was great, and the apartment was clean. There are no windows in the bedroom which made for great sleeping, but very dark. The only way to let in fresh air and sunlight was to open the front door, but the screen door did not have a full screen on it. There was an additional screen you could put on the door frame with magnets if you wanted to keep that door open. In need of minor repairs and maintenance to make it more budget friendly and less a feeling of neglect. I

Loved this apartment! It was the perfect, romantic getaway for our 1 year wedding anniversary. It had just the right amount of modern updates while still maintaining classic Savannah charm. The king sized bed was a must-have and very comfortable too! Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Bed was one pc of foam on a cheap metal frame. hard as a rock to sleep on. owner did respond quickly and got a bed topper when we complained but it didn't help much. Rest of place was old, tired, unfinished, and looked like it hadn't been given any attention in decades. Is in need of TLC. No natural light. Nothing in this place felt welcoming. Nicest room is the front room in photo. But the hostess was responsive.

The location is excellent. The host very responsive. There was coffee in the cabinet which is always a plus. Very quiet getaway

Always wanted to stay on Jones St! Enjoyed the beautiful houses and history. Close location to downtown and beach. Everything we needed in one spot. Owners were very attentive and easy to contact for anything we needed! If your looking for an easy, quiet getaway this is your place!

Quiet, comfortable apartment, staying here was much more relaxing and private than a hotel. The area is beautiful and within walking distance to so much. We would definitely stay here again if we have the chance to return to Savannah!

Not walking distance to old North Section but close enough to be a 3-4 minute drive. Very easy to hit Riverfront, Tybeeand Wormsloe. Minutes from many historic sites restaurants and shopping.

Great price for prime location in Savannah

We absolutely loved staying here. So close to everything. Love walking the streets day and night. One of my favorite city’s. So much History and Architecture, just Love Savannah!! We will definitely come back and try and stay in the same apartment.
