Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Glendale Downtown

The only thing that was a problem was the fact of doing laundry. Too complicated and only one laundry machine for so many people.

Good for family vacation. Parking expensive.

Great stay! Clean and comfortable with beautiful pool. Even the sofa bed was comfy. Pool hours were 8am-10 and it was always clean with plenty of chairs/lounges. Breakfast food and management was exceptional! Housekeeping could be more prompt, thorough, and courtious, but that was the only drawback. I felt like our room cleanings were very lackng during our 5 night stay. I wasnt expecting such gorgeous views from our 3rd floor window however. Parking spaces tight but plentiful underground in a safe secured garage. Loved our stay!

The staff was helpful and cordial. The pool was closed which was a bummer. Also, you do have to pay for parking per night. But overall my family and I enjoyed our stay and breakfast was great.

Added parking charge of $25 that was not disclosed until check in. Not good!

Really lovely hotel! Staff was friendly. Very clean and comfortable, with ample space to put our suitcases up. Breakfast was filled with variety, and the atmosphere of the lobby (and the rest of the hotel) was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious (we might have been placed in an accessible suite though, so I'm not sure if this is relevant to regular rooms), the linens were clean, and the beds were comfortable. Parking is underground and available only through key card access, so I was fine with paying the parking fee. I would stay here again!

Clean, bright hotel with friendly staff. Only downside is parkade parking is at such a bad angle to go down ramp we scraped the bottom of our vehicle with each entry.

Great property although for 135 units only one washer and dryer is not sufficient and was out of order for my entire 4 night stay and according to other guest that were there before me they were out of use before I got there. We were forced to do our laundry at a coin laundry mat.

Very good location and like the underground parking. Very clean and comfortable. Did not like that the they charge for parking.

The property and the staff was great, the only bad thing I have to say about this place is the bath tub was clogged and not draining very well, cause tub to fill.

The weather is nice, the room is very clean, service was great.

The property itself is clean and quiet. The room was clean upon first glance, however, I’m one of those guests that brings my own cleaning supplies for peace of mind (because I have children with allergies), and there was a ton of dust built up around the a/c and in the vent of the a/c (the part that blows out into the room), there were a few weird marks on the ceiling (maybe the previous guest was partying or jumping on the bed and sliding their hands around on the ceiling? Lol idk), the pull out sofa had blonde, straight hair in it (we’re a black family with low cut fades and black braids), and the worst part was the bathroom….I STRONGLY believe a person cannot get clean if the room meant for cleaning yourself is not clean. The bathroom floors are disgusting: the grout lines were caked with dirt (I went out to get a toothbrush and cleaner to try to clean it, unsuccessfully), there was dirt caked up all around the corners of the floor, the shower wall had hair on it, the toilet paper that was on the roll was used down to about enough for 3 people to use the bathroom, however, there was another roll under the sink. Finally, my husband had to ask for the vacuum because no one vacuumed our room. At the end of the day, it’s in a decent location, and close to the galleria for dining and shopping. It was also a short drive to Universal. I HIGHLY recommend bringing your own cleaning supplies to wipe everything down (yes, the remote and phone included), and slippers for the floors.

Room was clean. Hotel clean and staff was polite. Morning breakfast was good with options. Overall a good experience.

Everything was great! I’m someone who pays close attention to detail, especially when it comes to the cleanliness of the hotel I’m staying in. From the bed to the counters and bathroom, everything in this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness. The staff was kind and courteous at both check-in and check-out. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was clean and the breakfast bar is excellent and convenient. The only thing was the bedding had a weird body odors smell - maybe it was just musty from the A/C. Will definitely stay in hotel and area again

Parking was $25 a night, room was clean and comfy, no shower curtain in bathroom.

It was a great room and location with safe parking. The only problem were the kids upstairs running around. The staff was friendly and helpful!! I would stay again.

We paid for a large room (mini-suite) and received a large 400sf room but no table, awful bathroom, and limited furnishings. We got a handicapped room, but it was not nice.

Room was great, clean and spacious with a nice size bathroom, a comfortable king size bed, a mini refrigerator and a microwave. Even the elevator was quick, clean and quiet.. We would definitely stay there again

Saturday night there was loud music playing. The people above us were very loud several nights in a row and woke me up.

The room location was very uncomfortable noisy next to the street first floor. I asked them to put me on the upper levels, but they told me they don’t have any available rooms, which is quite surprising. There were a few cars and I can clearly see that they are not so busy.

The bed is too soft; our room was not cleaned some days even though there was no “not ready” sign on the door. The service team seemed to have a hard time to keep track of which rooms were occupied and need to be serviced. Otherwise, it was fine. There was daily continental breakfast.

We had a minor issue with our room that Shirley at the front desk went above and beyond with excellent customer service to make right. I have never been so impressed with customer service in my life. She solved the problem far beyond our expectations. We would definitely stay here again.

The check in was not smooth but everything else was perfection! Members are usually allowed to check-in an hour early. I arrived at 2:30pm and my check-in was supposed to be 3:00pm. However, the room was not ready. I had my family sit in the car for about 20 min until the room was ready. Everyone was very welcoming and the breakfast was great. The kids loved the pancake machine.

Great staff! My son left behind his beat headphones and Michael at the front desk went above and beyond to find them and get them mailed out to us.

Long check in process. Hotel is nice. Nice parking safe and secure. Room was nice. Beds super comfortable. Housekeeping was good when they came but they didn’t come daily. When I called for towels they were brought up in a decent amount of time. Good area.

Staff members were awesome

The staff at the front desk was rude and unprofessional. I arrived at 1:30pm and asked to check on and her response without askibg if I have a reservation was that since it's before 3pm she would have to charge me extra. I asked if the room was ready and she said yes but still wouldn't let me check i early without payi g extra. When I came back at 3pm she again unprofessional and was trying to sell me a room. She didn't even ask if I had a reservation.

This is our second time here. We stay here between appointments at CHLA. Last time I would’ve given it five stars, this time the woman checking us in lacked empathy and customer service skills. My daughter is undergoing treatment for cancer and got nauseous. So we grabbed an empty cardboard box we saw to avoid her vomiting on the ground. She said she’d get us something else instead, as my daughter began to vomit. Guests came to the counter and we were away from the check in desk assisting my daughter. The front desk personnel had a look of disgust and told us where the bathrooms were insinuating we should move. My daughter is 7!! Felt terrible, and now she’s dealing with someone making her feel embarrassed. It was awful… I doubt we’ll ever return. Have some empathy!!

Hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. Close to Galleria mall with plenty of dining options. Breakfast was good. We took uber to universal. We will stay here again. $25 night for parking but alot of hotels in the area charge $50 a night.

This is an excellent hotel which makes an excellent base for the tourist sites of LA as just off freeway in the safe city of Glendale.Staff are excellent, rooms spotless ly clean.It’s very secure and Glendale felt safe.Short walk to Glendale Galleria or a less than $15 lyft xl ride, an excellent shopping centre.Hollywood studios $30 lyft/uber xl ride.Magic mountain six flags $70,it’s also a $70 lyft xl to Santa Monica Pier

the parking was very accessible, and the location is great if you planning to attend universal studios and Dodger Stadium

Great location and close to freeways

Property was very nice. It’s located just blocks away from the Glendale Galleria and Americana shopping center. Parking was great in there parking garage. Staff was extremely nice and outgoing. Breakfast was great every morning with MANY choices for all types of diets. The room was very clean and spacious. Overall great experience and I would recommend as well as stay again!

Breakfast ordinary and not enough time to eat. We were being rushed to eat. Most places allow until 9:30am during weekdays. Places to eat are limited. Needed to eat in the lobby.

The property is well maintained and clean. The staff is helpful and caring. The breakfast doesn't have much vegan options.

The only reason this hotel does not receive a full excellent rating is because the breakfast is the same EVERYDAY! If you stay for two days it’s ok, but we stayed for four. Needless to say we skipped breakfast on our last day there.

Lovely hotel in the heart of downtown Glendale. The breakfast was delicious and the room was quite comfortable.

Property is clean and front desk staff was nice but breakfast really was horrible I should have uploaded pictures of the uncooked sausage or bacon on any given day of our 3 day stay the last morning we opted to go to Dunkin’ Donuts for breakfast the staff in charge of breakfast was not friendly at all, and started breakfast at the same time he opened the doors so he was 30 minutes behind on good being put out.
