We loved the views from having a high floor corner room. Our room was exceptionally clean as well as the entire property. Bar Julian was so wonderful for drinks, food & excellent service! Having the car service available to drive us into town was a great perk! Highly recommend this hotel!

Honestly, this is the spot. New beautiful area in Downtown Savannah. It's located on the river, so it's a pretty walk to the main area. They also provide bikes and free cars from and to hotel. Friendly helpful staff, great food and drinks and the pool is a real treat. You gotta stay here, you're welcome! :)

Room was not ready at 4 PM had to wait 1.5 extra hours which made us miss a dinner reservation - and they didn’t seem to care - nothing offered for the inconvenience! Parking is an absolute joke !! No where to park yourself AND if you can get a valet it’s 49 per night!!

Beautiful hotel with multiple bars, including roof top bar with spectacular views. Also has a great pool and fitness area.

We loved the rooftop bar for drinks and food. We also loved our room...it's size and comfort. What we didn't like was the lack of parking, which was very inconvenient for us older folks, We also did not appreciate a $35 destination fee added to our bill. We have no idea of the purpose of this obvious junk fee other than to get an extra $35 from us.

The facility is fresh and modern. It’s a short walk to Riverstreet. There are a couple of bars and dining options on the property. The burgers were great! The Valet parking is $49 a night. Check your receipt to make sure you didn’t automatically charged. Street parking is $24! It’s a safe area so street parking was perfect!

This hotel is in a great location with 2 restaurants and a bar. The staff was amazing. The rooms are standard. I didn’t like that there’s no microwave or fridge. The pool is like an adult party during the day. It’s best for families early in the morning or late evening. Loved going on a walk in the morning along the river.

I came here for 5 days. I had a work meeting and then a girls trip tacked onto the end. This hotel had amazing staff, the pool is perfect! The rooftop bar has amazing views. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Many people I traveled with said they wished they had booked here instead of their hotels. I would 1000% recommend this hotel.

The view was great and SOME of the staff members are awesome. The rest of the hotel needs a deep clean and overhaul. The hallways and fixtures are dusty and dingy. The rooms could be very nice if they were cleaned well but they're not. I practically had to beg for my linens to be changed in my room and the build up of dust and crevasses of dirt throughout the room lets me know the room had not been cleaned well in quite some time. I voiced my concerns and requests but ultimately, it was met with a dismissive attitude and little efforts to make it right. Also, save your money when it comes to valet. The morning staff is great but the afternoon staff outright avoids you when you pull up to do your car off and never checks your car in- leaving you waiting at least 15 minutes each time you need your car or want to drop it off. The hotel has alot of potential but I will not be back.

Awesome building about 3 years old. Clean rooms with only 1 sheet and the grout in the shower… perhaps it gets cleaned once a year? In our room the color of the grout in the shower was black with bits falling of (shouldn’t be black). Other than that the place is great.

Lovely views. Interesting decor. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very clean. Helpful friendly staff.

Cleanliness

Room housekeeping was lacking. No washcloths on some days & bathroom mirror not cleaned for 3 days.. Bed comfortable but nor made very nearly..

Hotel is relatively new and presents well. Scratch beneath that ‘new car’ shine and you will see a few things wanting proper care. The pool area needs attention - not cleaned regularly. I went 24 hours apart to find the same broken wine glass and used towels from the day before. I also moved a small table to a more convenient place to find thousands of small ants scurrying from under the table. Yuk. Rooms were nice but my bed was made improperly and strangely my wife had to show the cleaning staff how to properly make the bed (the duvet was under the top sheet instead of the other way round). Again, yuk. The hotel is not a short easy walk from the historic district - requires a 30-minute walk crossing a heavily traveled main artery. To solve this the hotel now has a shuttle car on call for guests. But only one, so when available it is useful, but it’s not always available meaning an Uber back from the main tourist area. The rooftop bar is very nice. On one of our 2 nights it was closed until 8pm for a private party meaning guests missed the prime sunset cocktail hours. We were not pleased as we rushed back from our tour just to enjoy the rooftop area which was closed. I would not stay here again. I will stay closer to the historic district on my next trip to Savannah.

We arrived and. When we opened the bed the top sheet has large hole. The comforter was bumpy like tissues stuck inside it. But worst was the black hair in bathroom. We told them about the issuers. They changed the bed and cleaned the bathroom. The cleaner left the cleaning clothes behind. Not a big deal but we had travelled from afar. We were tired. So went to bed at nine and aooo much noise from above. Moving chairs. Etc. we were in the 11 floor the bar was above us. It was so loud. Finally at 1030 it was over. Woke up to breakfast and was horrible. Told front desk. And said they were going to take off breakfast as it was just two serving of toast. Burnt and two coffees for 25 dollars !!! My email receipt came to me and were charged for breakfast. Would not go back. Lots of other places to stay in better location. The river view is ok to have if you just like seeing huge cargo ships pass by. Think in city centred be better. The concierge we very nice. Thank you to Nicole.

The staff was friendly but I was told that the mold in the bathroom tile was "sealer." This was an inadequate response.

Great property. Great location. Thank you for a great stay. This time our room was very dusty and full of pet hair. Staff made it right. They really care. Tristen is amazing

This hotel is beautiful, quiet and looks luxurious. Beds were comfy, rooms spacious. Staff was nice. Valet Parking is $53 per night but you can street park for cheaper. No in/out for the street parking. I expected the room to be clean but it was just tidy. Rooftop had nice views. Conveniently located on the river in a nice area, about a half mile from food/things to do. They have a house car (Tesla, driver) that will take you to nearby places for free. There’s a Woodhouse spa next door which is nice. Dog friendly so seeing dog puke in the elevator was gross. Please update the hours on the website/google vs in person. Fleeting closes at 9:30 pm in person but at 11 online and 10 on the website which was a bummer to find out.

We had a corner room with a river view. The view was fantastic.

The room was beautiful, the River View was spectacular. I was disappointed in the fact that they use DISH for TV. When the storm came in there was no TV. Not necessarily bad for me I just watched the storm but kids may have problems. Also very limited channels unless you are a sports fan. I am not. Very disappointed. Also bring plenty of charging blocks. Not enough plugs for all devices. Luckily I did. Staff were a delight.

I was just there for one night, but it was a really pleasant stay. I ate at the Julian restaurant and Maria was my server. She was certainly the highlight. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. The food was delicious. The amenities are really cool and trendy, including the rooftop bar. It’s nice there is something to do on the premises. The rooms are very nice, well designed. Bed was not the most comfortable but by no means the worst. The shower water pressure was great. Would stay again.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was absolutely blown away by the experience. The bedding in the bedsheets, but a constant problem and the pillows were terrible

Don’t book a King room thinking you will get an actual King Size bed. Room description is very misleading. Complained at the front desk about the size of the bed. Was told it was a “Hotel King”. Was offered a credit. Never happened. Contacted Expedia, was not able to get any type of refund. The bar is way over priced. Present guests with dirty disgusting overly worn menus. Had to request coffee pods for the coffee maker multiple times. Riverfront rooms can hear the cargo ships from the river all night long. Beds are very uncomfortable.

Beautiful rooms, incredible bed and pillows and water pressure in the shower was unbelievable!! Good lighting with dimmers in the bathroom, lots of room, great coffee machine and coffee in the room, with real half and half. Fabulous rooftop restaurant and bar. Had a wonderful, unusual breakfast up there, much more special than your standard Southern breakfast fare. Couldn't try the raved about restaurant or bar downstairs as closed on Monday but will definitely be back! Slightly away from busy center but on the river and an easy walk to the riverfront shopping area. Loved it!!

For the cost paid, this hotel was nice but would not be my choice in the future. I have to say up front, the people who worked at this hotel were amazing. We were greeted with such kindness and they went out of their way to assist us in any way. However, the overall appearance of the hotel was nice but nothing extraordinary. The only exception to this was the rooftop bar. It was beautiful, the food was very good and the service, once again, was exceptional. Our room was very much what you would see in a 3 star hotel. The lighting was horrible. We couldn’t turn the lights on from our bed, rather you had to turn them on from the front door area. It was very confusing and aggravating. As well, the bathroom had a stand up mirror on the sink rather than one attached to the wall. I had to move the mirror to a small table near the bed and open the curtains to obtain any lighting that I needed. Again, not acceptable for a hotel of high caliber and price! The shower was large and very nice. The storage space was well planned and we had plenty of room to put our things. The robes were offered for sale but I would never pay that money for such cheap quality I'm sorry to share.

Slightly away from everything but still walkable. Great hotel and staff! Comfortable bed, nice big clean rooms. Great for families staying in a suite with a tub!!! Pool is a little small but good.

Service was atrocious. From a rude bell hop, to confused and unhelpful valets, to poor room cleaning and lack of room cleaning one night, to unknowledgeable front desk, to calling for luggage help when leaving and no one showing up, I have never ever experienced service this poor. Hotel is beautiful though and this review does NOT reflect the bars or restaurants which were wonderful

Terrible check in. Received zero information about property amenities, where the elevator is, valet operates on specific hours.

The check in was not that good at all. The front desk told me that since i checked in esrly they would be able to get me a room before 4p. They took my number and i never heard from them i had to show up at 5:20 pm and nothing. The rest of the staff was wonderful and restaurants were great and the drinks.

We stay frequently at the Thompson when visiting family in Savannah and we are completely satisfied with the staff, service and hospitality.

What made this trip stand out was the customer service. The room we reserved was not available, but the staff went above and beyond to give us an even better accommodation. Much appreciated after a 15 hour trip!

The customer service provided by the front desk was exceptional. Complementary car service was a bonus. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Thompson was great! Free beer at check in. House car for your downtown travels- Alan Raspberry, driver extraordinaire, is where it’s at! GREAT water pressure! Pool was unused but great fitness room/area. Would stay again.

Amazing experience after the initial problem that was remedied right away!! I called the hotel around 4pm to inform the hotel we were going to be arriving late from Atlanta -to be sure not to cancel our reservations, as our Expedia reservation was cancelled last year in NYC when we arrived around 8:30pm. Tho Thompson Hyatt hotel rep in Savannah said they could not find our reservations, as another person with our same last name had cancelled their reservations, which is off because our last name is not a common spelling. They reinstated our reservation without any issues. When we arrived Donna &the front desk manager, Tristan couldn’t be more professional and even upgraded our stay due to the misunderstanding. We had them hold our bags since we had a hungry 17 year old and were at the restaurant at 9:20, 10 minutes before they closed, and the waiter and hostess were so kind & never rushed us even though we felt bad to keep them past 9:30. The food was amazing (oysters, spring roles, cheese tray, etc.) By the time we got up to our room the sofa bed was pulled out into a bed with sheets & pillows for my son. The riverfront hotel is new and have a beautiful design & work areas in the lobby, the rooms, gym, and all 3 restaurants (rooftop bar restaurant had beautiful views, design inside and outside) were super clean & the free bike, free Tesla local driver (Charlie, Adonis, Allen) were all our interaction (Tristan/Donna/Amanda concierge/Thayer valets all A ! We will be back!

Very friendly, efficient front desk staff. They even had a keg at the front desk offering free beer and free waters. Bartenders in the lobby bar were great and food was delicious. Bellman Chris was amazing. So helpful on both arrival and departure.

We like the location away from the crowded hustle and bustle of Svannah waterfront.

Our stay was amazing. We loved the location, property and surrounded area. It's a quite and safe area, but still super walkable to the main street and more touristic area. They have bikes available which are very pleasant to ride around. The free public shuttle also has a stop right on the hotel block. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was great in everything we needed. Highly recommend!

The staff at the Thompson were friendly and incredible. If your plan is to stay in Savannah the use of the hotels Tesla which will pick up and drop you off within 3 miles was awesome! The driver was knowlegable about the area. The hotel is within walking distance of the River street area for shopping and dining, There is also a green dot bus which will take you into the downtown area right outside the hotel and it is free. It was a great stay!!!

Far away from town center

Excellent hotel. Rooftop bar is great a mile away from historic business but also away from the touristy stuff.

Fabulous! The hotel is beautiful and new. Parking is easy and access to river st. is just a short walk. Mr. Charlie and Joseph will take you anywhere you need to go and have a wonderful, friendly attitude and provide great recommendations. Rooms are clean and the restaurant and bars are fantastic, just as described. I will stay here again

Awesome hotel in a quiet neighborhood right on the river, with green space out front, perfect for taking my dog out for a walk. Boutique hotel ambiance with pretty interior design. Very clean and well maintained. Fast room service. Convenient public parking (indoor) within a block of the hotel. No pet fee and a complimentary glass of beer at check-in!

Great service and amenities. They really had everything practical to make it a great stay. We used the complimentary ride service for dinner. The restaurant and bar were great. Pool was awesome and the live show Saturday at the pool made it a lot of fun!

The staff was excellent from the check-in process and throughout the stay. Martrell at the front desk was very helpful! Hotel itself was modern and clean, easy walking distance to everything within the city. Great dining options on-site and friendly service at the restaurants and rooftop bar. Highly recommend!

The hotel is very beautiful and in a wonderful location. The Fleeting restaurant was one my favorites of our trip. Service was great, and the food was amazing. Definitely will be going back. We love the view from our hotel room..

Nice area and staff was very nice. A little further from the Riverfront shops but they had free car service which was great. Rooms were clean. The onsite restaurants were excellent. Loved the rooftop bar. Coffee shop and bakery beside hotel was great too. Overall we had a great stay.
