Crater Lake Gateway - Hwy 140

Updated and quaint property located close to recreational areas and the perk of beautiful fresh pine air as it is out of any towns and surrounded by the trees. Friendly staff, quick easy check in and strong wifi connection were a nice greeting to start the stay. Location was great rght on the highway on our way to Crater Lake this was a wonderful stop and perfect place to stay for the night. The room was clean, updated with comfortable bed, great pillows and ample blankets for the chilly fall temps and plenty of plugs with usb for charging all the things. I have mobility issues and this was easily accessible with parking right outside the door and a walk in shower. Key code entry emailed to me in advance of arrival made a later check-in a breeze. Small convenience store and gas on site was helpful.

Like that there’s a gas station and mini market.

An excellent option if you're going to Crater Lake National Park and need a place to stay that's close to the southern entrance. This inn also has a well-stocked general store and a gas station...important because it's about 30 miles from the nearest town, Klamath Falls. My room was clean and comfortable, with an excellent king bed. The bathroom was well appointed. The staff were great. There were a couple of overhead lights that weren't working, but there was enough light from the nightstand lamps for me. (I did let the staff know and they appreciated the heads-up.)

Must be newly remodeled really nice room and beds, off the beaten path only one restaurant within 5 miles; the power went out for 3 hours in the middle of the night…

Easy check in. Well maintained. Comfortable for 2. Convenient store available in the hotel and Fuel available. We had a pleasant stay.

About 45 minutes away from Crater Lake NP A small hotel, parking included. Nestled in the woods. Gas and grocery store on property. Open hours limited.

Tiny hotel attached to a convenience store/gas station, room was super nice, clean, and seemed newly remodeled. Located right off of Highway 140, mostly quiet except occasional traffic passing by... Not the hotel's issue, but the power went out shortly after 10pm (thunder storms/rain in the area) and didn't come back on until after 2am. Luckily I had charged my phone & was able use it as a flashlight because dang, it was dark in the room & all around the property! (not able to make calls, no power, no WiFi, etc.)

The TV or cable did not work the whole 2 days I was there and the pillows had dog hair.

Great stay if you’re wanting to stay around the Crater Lake area! Staff was warm and welcoming. Room/restroom was clean and tidy! Would definitely recommend staying here again!!

We arrived after check-in hour but had no trouble getting in. However, Shower leaked out into bathroom, mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, door security latch was broken, sound from room above was very loud, floor was sticky, no comfortable chair to sit in in room. One positive comment - the person working in store next morning was very nice.

When arriving you don’t know where to check in. Once you figure it out that it’s in the store there was no greeting. Just your keys in the room. The room has no insulation you can hear everything. People above us sounded like a heard of elephants. The shower pan leaked all over the bathroom floor. The garbage in the bathroom was never taken out. The toilet was dirty!

The walls need a good scrubbing in this place. The rest seemed ok. The staff was below average in terms of service levels. It was fine for the price but I would. It stay there again.

The hotel is located right off a highway so its easy to find. Located approximately 40 - 45 minutes from the south entrance to Crater Lake. The hotel sends you your check in room number and door code via text message. Unfortunately mine didn't come to my phone due to the lack of cellphone coverage. I went to the office which is the connected market. They resent the message after I connected to their wifi. I'm just glad I arrived before the market was closed. The room itself is clean and functional. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs, the highway just outside the rooms has a surprising amount of large truck traffic during the night. Also request an upstairs room. The rooms have laminate floors and if you are located on the first floor you hear everything your upstairs neighbors are doing. I Unfortunately had a group of 4 staying above me which were pretty noisy until 11 pm. Overall adequate for one night.

My stay went well but my TV didn’t work. Shen I called to see if there was anything that could be done, no one answered. Unfortunately, I fall asleep to a television every night so it was quote a bummer. But the place was very clean. Everyone was very friendly and nothing else in the stay was a problem. I would come again, but would check the TV before i paid lol

Very clean, remodeled room. Noise from the main road mostly subsides after dark, but starts early morning. 90 minutes drive from the boat tours of Crater lake. Room is way too small, given most of the space is taken by a king bed with uncomfortable mattress. Rest of the room is freshly remodeled.

A fairly convenient location to get to Crater Lake and nearby towns, but what was probably once a peaceful and lovely setting sits right on a busy highway and the traffic is frequent and noisy. Very few restaurants nearby. Really hard and uncomfortable bed, too.

Loud. Stayed on the first floor and could hear every footstep from upstairs. I could hear if any adjacent unit was using the microwave. I could hear the cars driving by. If you are a light sleeper, choose elsewhere.

Good - Close to national park, Modern rooms, decent wifi, fuel and supplies in the store itself. Bad - Staff did not provide housekeeping even after reminding them for 3 days.

There was no response from the hotel in the after-hour

It was so nice of the staff to reach out to us with a phone call since we were arriving late. They made sure our stay was perfect!

Upon check in, they claimed I did not have a reservation. I should my receipt and confirmation number. Nope, you have a reservation. Then as I was walking away, oh here it is. Frustrating. Didn’t give any welcoming words, like the ice machine here, we close at such a time, if you need anything…. No communication. Room, looks beautiful upon arrival. No phone in the room, no ice machine, no hangers, iron, or board. Sheets were dirty, office had closed by the time we turned the bed down. There were bugs in the room, mosquitoes and big flies. There was a croaking frog in the AC unit, which he liked to croak at night. Swatted bugs left on walls and ceiling. Used soap and shampoo in the bathroom. DOOR DOES NOT HAVE A SECURITY LATCH OR PEEP HOLE. Desk attendant unlocked our door and walked right in. He was in the wrong room, DID NOT KNOCK, JUST WALKED IN. Needless to say, we couldn’t sleep all night wondering if someone was going to walk in on us. No sound proofing what so ever. New renovations make it sound like upstairs guests are a herd of buffalos running across the tundra. Drain cover in shower if just laid over the drain.

This place was so disappointing. The pictures showed a cute roadside motel and when we drove up we were really excited seeing the place, the experience went immediately downhill from there. The place was infested (no exaggeration) with mosquitos. We were warned in the check-in instructions to not leave the doors open too long. So we were VERY careful but we had no idea how serious the warning was. By the time we settled in we could see hundreds of mosquitos in our room. I was on the bed and standing on chairs trying to kill them with my shoe. One literally spread blood across the wall. We had no where to go and had to just deal with it but it was miserable. All 3 of us left with bites. The cleaning crew was very kind. They tried spraying, but there was really nothing they could do. The building inside and out was COVERED. Lastly, there was a woman who worked at the store/gas station who was awful. She was aggressive and rude. I tried to talk to her and asked if we could reset and try again since we were there for a couple nights. She walked away and said nothing. The cleaning crew said she use to be the manager but no longer held that position because she was always “stressed out”. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My best advice is to look elsewhere.

I had a very disappointing experience at this inn. I was not told how to check in and had to wait outside in the cold for about 30 minutes. I checked several times in advance to find out how, but there was no response. After calling many times, I was finally able to check in. The staff were not professional and I am very sorry.

I was visiting Crater Lake National Park. I was out in the wilderness. It was truly beautiful!! You have to drive 30-40 miles/miles for dining/restaurants other than eating at the park. There are restaurants just outside the park and within the park. When I checked in my room was ready but the smell of pine sol was overwhelming even the staff who checked me in thought so. Two cleaning ladies tried there hardest to remove the smell, cleaned the floor with hot water and a new mop three times. They really did try. The smell was better but still stronger than I like. No screen in window to help and the fan they provided was so loud and really didn't move the air at all so I did not use. They really tried. Their store does provide a variety of microwavable food options. They also sell other food options. Lots of drink options and well stocked variety of goods/ equipment/ needs. The wifi did not work the two nights I stayed there. Sometimes things just happen. The staff really tried their best to make me comfortable.

A great one-night stop on the way to Crater Lake. Nice modern clean room in hotel located next to highway. Traffic sounds are noticeable especially in the morning hours. The bedsheets are from microfiber and feel a bit uncomfortable. The shower cabin does not have any shelves, hooks to arrange the things around.

The hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the rooms were excellent, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Check in was a little slow due to slow internet connection, however it is tucked back in the trees. The close by resort restaurant was overpriced, but the food wasn’t terrible. Overall our stay was quite pleasant.

We received a text with the info on how to check in . But we didn't understand that there really was no one at a desk in the store to talk to just an unprofessional gas attendant. We also didn't know there was no restaurant or fast food less then a half hour away. We bought food from the gas station and eat in our room since we had a long day of driving already. The room was remodeled and nice. Noise from the road woke us during the night as well.

Not much to like. When asked for extra blankets, got a reply to buy blankets. No breakfast at the property or nearby. Property is not ready to receive guests.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Dining options in area are limited. Resorts close that you can dine at before 7.

Quick and easy checking in. Very territorial setting on the scenic byway. The rocky point resort just up the road served a decent meal with a great view.
