Falmouth Tides

Our whole stay was perfect, but the best part was the rooftop deck. It was so nice to sit out there and watch the boats and relax.

There was so much to love about this hotel. We travelled as a family with young kids so the convenient beach as our backdrop was amazing. Mauri mats and a deck to entertain the kids and towels provided for the deck chairs and beach were so convenient. We loved the old record player in the room, the welcome pack and toiletries. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Location wise was excellent for a lazy day at the beach outside, day trips to Martha’s Vineyard or to the centre of town for a bite to eat. Would definitely visit again!!

The place was fantastic. I went for a weekend with high school friends. The location is right on the beach! The room was clean, and the a/c worked well. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel supplied towels, loungers and beach umbrellas. It was perfect for our needs. There are a couple of restaurants in walking distance, and there’s a food truck in the parking lot. One tip- bring water shoes. The beach becomes rocky when going into the water.

Stayed here for a girls weekend. The place was so adorable with great amenities which included fire pit, lounge chairs for beach, corn hole, rooftop deck w tables and chairs. Highly recommend and would stay again! Great location

The property was fantastic and in an excellent area. A must change is to add back coffee makers in the rooms. The blue truck coffee outside is great but would love to stay in pjs and have coffee.

A great little find, modern and stylish but most importantly right on the beach and in easy walking distance to the Island Queen ferry to Marthas Vinyard. The coffee truck outside also is a really nice touch.

Very nice stay and location. Beautiful views. The staff were excellent. Parking is kind of a nightmare, but other than that, everything was great.

Location is absolutely perfect- beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Leave your room and you are right on the beach. No frills, but had everything we needed. The roof deck is incredible!

Ocean front rooms with chairs & umbrellas in quiet area and easy access to Island Queen ferry for day trip to Martha's Vineyard. Walkable area and less than 10 minute drive to Main Street for additional shops & restaurants.

Absolutely loved our stay, would highly recommend! The views of the ocean are outstanding and you can listen to the ocean waves crash as you sleep Went up to the rooftop deck to watch the gorgeous sunset! Swam out to the docks, lounge chairs with towels, complementary bikes, loved it all! Very friendly staff, 10 out of 10!!!

The room was nicely decorated, liked the albums and player. Peaceful view out the patio. Very clean and well taken care of. Parking was convenient to the room.

Other than a location and the view I was not impressed . The room was very dirty and poorly cleaned. The floor was absolutely filthy and there were stains on the sheets. Very disappointed for this over priced property.

We stayed here during Covid when it was a little old school motel. So happy to be back with all its beautiful upgrades and fabulous staff. What a great couple of days we had at the Tides. Room rooms are immaculate. Can’t beat being on the beach! Adorable little coffee truck right outside your door. We will absolutely be back.

Very clean, super nice staff, and quiet. Perfect for a quick getaway. Room was spotless and had an incredible view. We could overlook the very small bathroom which was the only slight downside. Its a bit off the beaten path, so not crowded at all. The staff was incredibly nice.

I never leave reviews, but we had such a great stay at the Falmouth Tides I feel compelled to leave one. It is a great low-key motel. We had an ocean view room, which had a lovey balcony. The rooms have been renovated recently and are clean. The bathroom was small but clean and had nice products. The motel is close to the marina and the ferry to the vineyard, so there are a lot of boats, but the beach is nice, if rocky, and there are plenty of chaises and umbrellas and towels. We also took out the paddle boards. There were two fire pits on the beach at night, which was fun, and the roof deck is also a great place to relax. The location is great—close to the center of Falmouth, which is cute, and also the path along the coast. On top of everything, the ataff couldn’t have been nicer.

This was my second year coming to Falmouth Tides. Last year we did not have one complaint it was absolutely perfect. However this year was a little disappointing. When we arrived around 4:30 giving them plenty of time to clean. We walked into our room to see a very dirty floor along with some other dirty surfaces. There was a small pile of long black hairs under a chair. Dried down dirt on the floor along with sand and something sticky. The small bench was stained. The bathroom door had hairs on it. When we expressed the floors needed to be cleaned they were went over once with swiffer and left still as dirty. It wasn’t until we said something again that they came in with a cup of water and dishsoap and made us point out the dirty areas and then proceeded to clean one side of the rooms floor. We are very understanding and non confrontational but it was very disappointing. The location is beautiful. However cleanliness is still number one. The owner did not once apologize he was nice but just excused it saying “the floors are hard to clean” and “we never get complaints”. Didn’t offer an apology or anything for the inconvenience and troubles. It took about an hour to get them to properly clean some of the floor and after they dumped the dirt water into the bathroom sink and left it. This whole situation caused us to be late to dinner not to mention it was just a terrible way to start our stay. I hope they can get there stuff together.

This is a very cozy and clean hotel with spectacular view. I was very pleased.

A boutique hotel in a lovely beachside location. Recently refurbished and fitted to an excellent standard. Highly recommended.

Great view, nice rooms

The view of the ocean from your room is awesome. You are right on the beach and can hear the waves in your room! Everything is clean and new. The only drawback is the small bathroom. However the shower is hot and strong Highly recommend The Tides!

Beautiful view of the ocean. Comfortable and would definitely stay again! That being said, bathroom was small and 2nd floor guests could be heard walking…seriously, why do some people walk so hard???

Loved this hotel. Stayed one night in October. Room clean Sam’s comfortable. Could see and hear the ocean from all rooms. Sunset from rooftop was beautiful. Rooms weren’t as soundproof as some hotels. Could hear neighbors on their deck late at night.

Such cute rooms! We loved the record player. Rooms are bright and clean and the bed is very comfy! Can’t wait to come back

Falmouth tides is a great location-it was clean a s decorated well. The harbor view was very nosy and loud. The air conditioning did not work. I understand things happen but the staff were not helpful at all with this and the issue was never resolved, even though they told me it was. They gave us a small fan that had about 4 inches of dust on it. I think had a manager closed the loop on the issue with us, it would have been fine-but we won’t be back.

We have been to Falmouth Harbour many times, so it was a familiar site. Booking a ground floor room was absolutely necessary and "Harborside"sounded OK. Unfortunately, there are always cars and fishing boats parked/tied at the dock - not the view I hoped! 🙄 The staff was super helpful and tried to accommodate a room change. The hotel was fully booked. However, a beach – view ground room was available the next day! We were well satisfied and totally enjoyed sitting on the patio close to the beach - Only steps away!! Sliding glass door provided wonderful ocean view. A Nespresso unit was available but beware there is not a dish, spoon or glass. Frig and micro useful for takeout chill/reheat. Record player with Marley, Beatles records was an interesting retro touch, but could have used floor lamp for reading while sitting in chair! All in all, a terrific getaway and we will certainly return!

I've stayed at this place before but I will never again. Unfortunately the evening after we arrived my dog had a medical emergency and suffered three seizures during the night. I had to leave and take him to the hospital. I called to explain the situation, but the manager insisted that she had to charge me the entire three day stay $2500.00 and could not issue any refund because it is the hotel's rule.Subsequently, my dog was admitted to a hospital where he was given an MRI and a tumor or bleed was found. My poor dog was in such stress and needed medical care and since I live in NY, I knew he needed to be near his home. Also I was charged a $75.00 dog fee per night when I arrived and was not previously told about it. When I had stayed the year before, there was no fee. They are extremely without compassion and are only interested in the money. For a place that welcomes dogs, they are an uncaring people where money, not human and animals, is their guiding principle. This place changed management and this present manager needs a lesson in humanity. I hope you never have to deal with a situation and people such as the manager Andrea.

Great location, excellent staff, right on the beach, loved the rental bikes to get downtown. Parking was easy, and the evening fire was cute. Would come back for sure.

The room was just as described, if not more. Right when we pulled up to the parking lot, we were already impressed by the immediate surroundings with gorgeous panorama views of the ocean and marina. When we got to our room, we were met by the most breath-taking view of the ocean. We immediate began relaxing and loved all the private beach had to offer. The hotel and grounds are very well maintained, and the on-site staff warm and welcoming. We cannot wait to return!

The remodel of Falmouth Tides is excellent and tasteful. Love the low-key chic vibe. Directly on Ocean- great views and boat watching. Not a full service resort, but the staff is very nice; the decor is stylish and relaxing and there is a fun coffee/truck/snack bar on property.

Clean and the front desk woman was very informative and nice .

Staff was wonderful and accommodating. It was my mother’s 85th birthday and she wanted a room facing the ocean, I however mistakenly booked a harbor view not “ocean veiw”. Even though they were fully booked they were able to rearrange things so mom could get her ocean veiw. Thank you to the wonderful staff!!

The property was absolutely beautiful but had an awful check-in experience with Andrea. We were doing a road trip from Toronto to Cape Cod and check in stated from 8am-8pm . We were set to arrive by 7pm but got a call from Andrea while driving at 6:30pm and she stated she was leaving the property and wanted to get our credit card information over the phone to check us in remotely which I stated I wasn’t comfortable with giving my information over the phone but she insisted that she was leaving even though I pointed out that the check in hours stayed until 8pm and we purposefully didn’t make detours or certain stops on our drive to get there before the check in period ended. In the end we were forced to provide our information which I was not impressed with. Other than this service issue the room was gorgeous and right on the beach, parking was good and location was close to a lot of great dining and shopping options etc.

I don't think I've ever written this negative of a review (and I've done many. Management/ownership of this hotel is, frankly, dishonest. After checking in at 8pm after a long day of travel, we had to leave and find new accommodations, which was really hard given it is peak season. We stepped into our room and it was probably 85 degrees. Management knew the air con was broken because they told us it would not be replaced until the end of the week. They offered a fan (in mid-August, in a first-floor room where it would not be safe to keep the windows open). The motel was sold out, and no other rooms were available for our 5-night stay. The front desk was manned by a poor young man who couldn't make any decisions. He was not permitted to let me speak to management/ownership (he was on the phone with her). To make matters worse, they didn't even automatically refund the $145 resort fee I paid at check-in; I had to request it. I understand that air cons break, but the least they could have done is let me know in advance (I had to pre-register the day prior, so they had both my contact info and check-in time). This may be a cute place to stay if everything goes well but if there is a problem, you will be stranded. Real all of the critical reviews about management and beware

Great location by the beach , it’s a fair walk to Main Street but there are taxis if needed . Amazing to hear the sea from your room . Only challenge I have is that you are booking a room with a kitchenette but there are no utensils, plates or glasses . So unless you bring all of that with you , it’s not really useable .

A great little bolt hole right on the beach. Hotel, very clean and with microwave, fridge etc but no food facilities. However, Falmouth town was a 5 min drive away and had so many great places to eat and visit.

The view was fantastic. Being right on the beach was quite nice. Room was small but light and airy. The bathrooms definitely need a shelf for toiletries and a small outdoor table with the 2 patio chairs would be nice to have for books, coffee, phone, etc. Also, breakfast and a pool would be nice if you’re going to call yourself a resort. Nespresso machine is nice for some people but I prefer regular coffee and had to go out and buy it each morning. A Keurig would have been more useful for coffee and tea. Overall it was a very pleasant stay but there was definitely a faint odor of sewerage out back coming from somewhere that really should be addressed. The nightly rate is high to have to put up with that as you come and go.

It is a convenient location where you could walk to the Ferry and places to eat. On the beach. It still has a Motel feel. It needs some pictures on the wall—very nice staff. Clean and the staff was very accommodating. I would stay here again.

The good, the bad, and the ugly. The good when it comes to this hotel is the location and the view. If you want to be steps from the beach and listen to the sound of the ocean all night and you don’t care about anything else, Then this is the place for you. The bad is that there are no amenities if they are really are staying there for more than one night. The rooms have a kitchenette, but they don’t stock it with any dishware or even a coffee maker! The only way I could get a cup of coffee was to pay for an expensive cup at there Little blue truck outside and around the corner from the hotel. I wanted a glass and they would only provide me a paper cup for my room. The parking situation is also very bad. Twice, someone from the yacht club parked in my spot, and there are no extra spots to park in as they are all accounted for. Each room only gets one spot. Now for the ugly… The walls are very thin and it is basically a two-story ranch motel that’s very small. I can hear the man snoring next to me and the girls on the other side of me talking about renting bikes. Unfortunately, the same girls decided to party and drink until 3 AM and I just had to deal with it. This is not a full-service hotel 24/7. There was nobody to help me in the middle of the night deal with this and the office does not open up until 8 AM.Overall, if you only care about being steps from the beach than this hotel is for you.

I love the place itself. So clean, people were so sweet and helpful. Loved having the ocean right there. The loungers were great. The only things I didn’t enjoy was no coffee pots in the room, no plastic cups for water or to rinse your teeth. Also the deluxe queen had a view of the side parking lot and food truck. But overall I enjoyed my stay!

The location of Falmouth Tides is wonderful. It seems to have been recently remodeled so it is clean. The furniture is minimal. Could have used a small table to sit at while in the room. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets did not fit properly…stretched out and kept popping off in the middle of the night which was annoying. For the nightly rate that we paid, I would have liked better quality bedding and towels that were white and not dingy. The bike rental was a nice feature as was the little blue truck for coffee and ice cream.
