Sunset Inn Hotel

The property looks good from the outside. The room was dirty the furniture was old and in bad condition. The washroom was disgusting I wouldn’t even make my dog stay there.i was so so hurt I cried and checked out first thing in the morning. One positive thing the staff were friendly and the manager understood what I was going through and gave me a refund

The first room was dirty , ants was all over the bed and bathroom . I booked a two bed room got one full bed the agent said they were sold out . The next night the agent was a bit more friendly but the room was terrible . Would not stay there again .

It was a great little place for the price. Room was okay and the place was nice. The only thing was I had to kill a cockroach in the bathroom. But breakfast was nice, hot and to die for.

This hotel has a great location but that’s about it. We booked a 2 night stay and we could not endure the first night we left before 6am. In our room Our luggages and toddler shoe was attacked by a swarm of roaches. We could not tell where they were coming from but they were all over over stuff. We had to start using our shoe to kill roaches instead of getting sleep. When we could have overlooked the old discolored sheets the dated room, dirty and smelling curtain, no towel in the bathroom and a random red used bath rug the infestation was a deal breaker. This hotel should not host anyone. Seems like its a hotel for the shady kind and nothing to host any half decent person. Anyone interested to stay here I recommend spend a bit more and stay somewhere else. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I think any good review for this hotel must be fake.

The breakfast is no good. Toilets clogged, Ants, microwave have to be requested and has a loud disturbing noise. The staff was very good pleasant.

Room had a cockroach in the Bathroom toilet hand was loose some staff were unpleasant wouldn’t recommend

The room was clean. They hotel staff really gentle. They offer a breakfast consisting omelette and coffee which was ok. In general nothing special to report. Just bringt your own shampoo with you.

Did not like the smell of the room

My husband and I stayed for 1 night. The room was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I appreciate that we were accommodated for early check in due to a function that we had to attend. Breakfast was ok. Overall a good choice for an overnight stay or for a few days.

The entrance was always locked, takes time for the staff to go and open it. Not good deal for the price and what you get. Old property and precarious.

Great customer service at check in. Very basic hotel but in fabulous location. It was ok for a night or 2.

My stay was comfortable. The surrounding areas were quiet and the room was clean. The only issue I noticed was that the toilet was not properly secured to the floor, but I forgot to notify them before leaving.

The staff were really nice, however the kitchen area in the room was insufficient and no rags or cloths provided to wipe after using. Wifi was also poor.

It the first hotel i go to and the room have no iron. Also the staff need to discuss there differences in private not outside where i can hear. Next thing i never get a chance to watch the tv the cable wasnt showing. The good thing is the place is clean

No remote for the AC. Very hard pillows. Fridge not plugged in.

It was a good stay it had a nice room and amenities. The shower was leaking and that was the only complaint i had.

The roooms are okay but could do better with water pressure in the bathrooms. Breakfast is not great and only served after 8:00 and in the room

Comfortable stay. Good nights rest but mattress has a sink so pain in back when getting ready to rise from bed.

My room was reserved on the 03 of December to be checked in on 22 December 2024. On arrival, I was informed that I didn’t have a reservation.

The lady on the desk was really welcoming. She had a lovely manner. The other staff were accommodating. We felt safe. It was good that there was a fridge where foods and snacks were on sale. Breakfast was good and was delivered to the room on time. There was a telephone in the room so we could communicate with them.

Extremely disappointing - No iron, no microwave very basic. - Firstly, the property advised that they will not honor the reservation because of the demand for the period I was scheduled to travel. However, fantastic, my reservation was not canceled. - Secondly, despite the picture of breakfast being misleading, there was not a microwave or offering of food available on the property. - Thirdly, I asked for a kettle. Staff responded, "I can give you some hot water. I can warm some in a cup in our microwave. Do you have a cup. - Strangely, upon my arrival, I was asked to wait until the following day for checking services because only the owner could handle the accounting. Staff was very ineffective with service provision and know how on accommodating guests. Therefore, based on the lack of basic amenities, the willingness for the property to not honor reservations due to possible demands of last minute travels and to benefit from charging an more per night for the accommodation I would recommend that you and future travelers skip this option. If you only desire a bed a place to shower, feel comfortable booking to stay with this property. However, if you are needing or wanting ANYTHING more, skip staying at Sunset Inn Hotel of Kingston, Saint Andrew, Jamaica.

Pillows are made of plastic. Bed is not very comfortable and had ants when we arrived. Reception was not clear in the breakfast and finally we did not have any as we needed to move on.
